Hey everyone, Thanks to those that have pointed out the sound that is distorting/clipping throughout the video. I wasn't aware of this until the video uploaded onto the RUclips platform (did not have this problem in editing) and turns out was an issue on the output signal of my old audio interface. I can assure you that this is not from the LR Baggs Session DI (particularly the saturation function). Thanks for the heads up and for watching!
I'm using one of these with a 10-band EQ going in and it's become my go-to DI. The saturation and compression do so much, the notch filter is very useful, and the battery lasts forever. I like to dime the compressor (fingerstyle guy) and keep the saturation around noon. Such a solid pedal. Great video!
Thank you so much for this well done video, your explanation was clear and complete and met me with the info I needed, regarding wanting the sound of my guitar. Much appreciated.
Thanks for posting! I've had mine for a while now running it with my Taylor guitar ES1 system and really like it. I just forgot what the buttons did again! Excellent tutorial!
Hello mate, great info on how the pedal works. I'm noticing a bit of distortion from the video though, especially around the point where you are cranking the saturation. I reckon it's the main output of the video and not the pedal because its across the board! Cheers!
Hello there, I got a D140 too, and I'm using a Fishman acoustic amp. I can't imagine if this device could be a useful tool, may the amp is enough for me.
3.55 is still clipping even though its only yellow. and i have exact a similar issue. my cole clark soimetimes/or actually sounds kind of better straight in the PA. i have that LR Baggs since 10 years...losing a bit of my positivity?
Hey…umm…well…ok, but demoing a saturation function for its sonic effect/quality is not worth much if your recording is distorting! Also…why did you skip demoing the high pass function which is essential to removing the low frequency thump of an acoustic , especially when applying compression!!? So…I liked your approach…but maybe you could do this again! Cee
Hi mate. The Align pedal is a tone shaping pedal that adds specific over tones to your acoustic (sounds great to my ears). Bear in mind that it is not a DI pedal but rather an "effect" of sort (tone shaping). Suggest trying both in person and seeing what you like. Good luck
This is the same as the pedal but this has a notch and di which you need to plug into a sound system. I traded the pedal and got the session di since it did the same thing as the Align Series Session pedal and I needed DI anyways.

Nice!! Extremely useful pedal for fingerstyle . Thanks very much for watching
You don’t have impedance issues plugging into an eq first?

My pleasure - thanks for watching!

The saturation would probably be vision with fingerpicking in the game turns way down
Para Acoustic DI is pretty nice too.
Yes agree, great piece of gear!

and your a professional huh?????
I also ordered a Reverb pedal from LR Baggs. Is that a good match together (becasue of the xlr)?
@@Edward_Hazebroek the Align Series reverbs are fantastic and will pair up very nicely!
@@TheMusicLoopThanks!
I'm wondering , is it good on violin?
I have absolutely no idea sorry but would love to hear how it goes when you try it!
It's great on violin and cello. My siblings have an NS Electric cello and violin and they sound great through them.
Hi, was considering the Session pedal. This would be similar except the Notch?
The Align series?

What pickup are you using? Seems a little muddy
Stock AP5 Pro in the Maton 👍🏼
saturate just distorts the sounds above 100 mark.
Not even a basic eq...bass/mid/treble...This would not be for me.
That sucker is $400 + TX. Not going to happen !
