    Hello Terryjean. Thank you for this posting. I am a person from that era and this brings back many fond memories. However, this song is now more poignant for me as my wife and I are now proud parents (again) of a baby boy. Somehow, this song encompasses all my feelings, now and into the future, for my new son. This will be our song for him (few word changes here and there). Pity there isn't a full video of Anita Harris singing this original or subsequent recording. Thank you again.

    I worked on her music video for this song. She was in a blue Aston MArtin convertible with a White Irish Wolfhound who, right on cue, looked at the camer and yawned! She was on the stage and the film took us past her marquee. One of the best songs of all time. Would be a killer duet.

    Wow, how underrated was she. Lulu,Dusty,Cilla etc. were all big in the sixties but Anita who also had the looks and more versatility was way above them. In love with her when this song came out but knew she would not go out with me. Mainly because I had to be up for school every morning, still dreaming though (lol)

    Remember when songs are titled there is no copyright on titles so the Original Version of a song about love may not be original as Nikki Hornsby's "Just Lovin' You" 2014 is original Pop orchestra found on You Tube and eStores worldwide. Ck out this original!

    • @martinlee5604
      @martinlee5604 4 года назад

      I've listened to it twice. Firstly, may I say that, in my opinion, Anita's iconic version is almost impossible to match. Lynn has a powerful voice and sings with conviction, but she sings in a 'cabaret' style, beginning nearly every line after the orchestra. She talks rather than sings some parts, and even changes the word 'loving' to 'wanting'. I also feel her version 'peaks' too early.
      The arrangement of Anita's version is vital for its overall appeal. The almost cinematic flourish at the start, the steady, gentle rhythm, the low-sweeping cellos, the wistful harmonica. Anita's rich tones are captivating, and each time she comes to the all-important title 'Just Loving You' the tenderness deepens.
      Well done, Lynn, but for me (a Brit!) it has to be Anita.

  • @snowyangel97
    @snowyangel97 11 лет назад

    @kevvome Well, I can assure you that WAS NOT Anita. I've seen her on many occassions now as she's close friends with a family member, they have known each other for a miraculous amount of time. Anita is doing very well, as is her husband, they are happily living together, and she is no longer suffering money issues. Anita also does not go about in a blonde wig with dark sunglasses. I hope one day you meet the real Anita Harris, and may she and God bless you unconditionally.

    I'm not in need of 'chilling out', you just need to watch what you say. I appreciate you don't intend your jokes to sound the way it did but it was offensive. There is a reason your original comment was removed from RUclips. So for goodness sake think about what you're about to say, and how others may feel. Don't be so blunt about it, not everything is about you and how you handle things. And God says to be kind to everyone, no matter who they are or what they've done to you.
    Thanks x

    I too am a Christian, and your 'joke' offended me. You may find it 'humorous' and entertaining, but as someone who is very close to Anita throughout all of her struggles your comment upset me greatly. I appreciate if that's not how you intended it to come across but intentional or not I took the comment to heart.
    I understand you are clearly a humorous personality, but please be a little more respectful and choose your words wisely and take into account other peoples feelings. Thank you. xo
