New sub and glad ya ended up in my feed! Love the off the cuff style and will dig in to your cat. My fave 35 is the v4 35 cron. It has been on my six going back to 89’. That said finally time to replace both and thinking hard on the 35 lux. Uhhhg it’s just a size thing but do agree with you on what it delivers. Chef’s kiss lens. We will see what goes on the M11D. Will be lux or Ultron- want for size or want for juice? May have to be both Lol.
Nice video. I got the Summilux-M 35 FLE about 6 months before Leica introduced the FLE 2 version. I think it’s a stunning lens on my M11, M11 Monochrom, and SL2. More recently, I picked up an APO-Summilux-M 35 ASPH (w/close-focus capability, which is extremely useful). It’s sharp as a tack and renders quite differently than the Summilux 35 FLE, so I will keep both lenses.
After going from 50mm Summilux to 28 lux I finally landed on 35 lux as my everyday lens I have the new fle2 which adds the .4m close focus which really made it the perfect lens for me. No more awkward backing up from tables when I want to photograph food when I’m out w my wife. Almost feels like you get the macro ring from the leica q on an m.
That's awesome, I haven't used the FLE V2 yet but your comment definitely makes me want to check it out, for sure, and try out some macro shots. I agree that the minimum focus distance on the V1 can definitely be awkward & honestly annoying at times in tight spaces, but when when that critical focus hits 🙌📸
Nice video about this lens in 2024, and I owned this lens leica Summilux 35mm F1.4 asph FLE, for me it is the only one to own and use always on your leica M series camera. All around lens, 0.7m to infinity it is accurate than any other third-party lenses that passed infinity or close focus meter have on their marks. That's why it is still the best leica lens. I used the version 2 of this it is not for me, if someone give that version 2 maybe I will keep it, but I don't think I will buy it especially the price is so expensive, same lens configuration and only close focus feature and built in lens hood. 👍
I find the subtle differences in tonality between a 4K lens and most of the 3rd party lenses becomes more evident when printed. Printed 24"x36" and really becomes noticeable through the minor shades of grey. Not something that will make a big difference for most.

Thanks for the video. I’ll definitely check those DNGs. Greetings from Germany.
Using my fle on my mp240 and my pre asph lux on my 246. Both are awesome. Great cameras and lenses.
great lens been using it with the Leica MP, the 1.4 is giving me great photos on film
