Fun fact! Madison Beer actually has an 'in-canon' character after offering her vocals to the brand, known as Madison Fear! She's a one-of-a-kind doll, she appears to be a sea monster, the box saying 'Madison Fear, Daughter of Sirens'! There are tons of characters in the brand that are homages to people Monster High has worked with.

Ok, for some context for the black cat, her name is Catty Noir and she's a pop singer in universe and was made famous for her love songs, needing to write another one in Boo York because she's been on an extended trip of writer's block. She was feeling like a fake because she'd never actually been in love.
She's the reason during I'm Pharoah they got swarmed. Cause she's famous.

Monster high boo york boo york is unrivaled. If you want another good song from monster high there's a song in from the webseries and it's called Witching Hour. Plus if you want to find some more fun songs I'd suggest Monster High's sister series Ever After High (specifically the full version of the title song Ever After High or Do You Wonder)

The NOSTALGIA that hits me whenever I hear We Are Monster High is so intense, its insane. I genuinely teared up for a second.
And I will defend the admittedly mediocre animation cause at this point its just another part of monster high’s charm to me. The new era stuff with smoother animation just doesn’t feel the same when I look at it. The original films and webseries styles just feel so happy to look at :)
I remember when they changed the animation style. I was already growing out of my phase, but the change killed the last interest I had. Wonder if I could get ahold of some of those older movies tho; would be a fun movie night

I love this genre of RUclips videos where it’s adult discovers something made for kids that slaps, and unapologetically learns to like it. I love seeing people like things from my childhood.
I feel kind of bad because boo York was the only monster high movie (pre reboot) that I didn’t see. (I think because it left redbox before I could get it and I felt embarrassed to ask to buy it). But this is making me want to go watch it now. The music slaps.

2:05 they go there because Cleo (the mummy looking girl) had to visit her father and sister in Boo York. She decided to invite some friends because why not ig lmao. That’s basically why they ended up in there ! And in the last video about monster high, Toralei (the orange cat girl) stole catty noirs (the girl with black skin and pink hair) voice with this gem because she was jealous and her original one was not that good… so that’s why all that happened too
Finally, someone else gets how amazing these songs are. Boo York is one of my favorite musicals ever.

There’s another version of “we are monster high” that’s like a more studio/clean cut version (not sure if Madison beer sings that one too? But yeah it slaps) and it’s like an extended version of the one you listened to!! I have never once met anyone who loves monster high as much as I do, which I find is such a shame, because the reason why is because their parents thought it would "turn them into rebels" or goths or smth. But that's really not what monster high is about! Monster High is about embracing yourself and other people for who they are and teaches young girls to NOT fit in or be like everyone else, because everyone is unique in their own way❤. Monster high taught me that, and it's a lesson a lot of kids should have the opportunity to learn.
I was going to recommend Ever After High next, but I’m not sure if there are enough songs, maybe you could group them with something else in another video 😅❤️

I know a lot of people hate it just bc change but I think they did some fun stuff with G3's promotional music. Do you think that you could also react to the Ever After High songs? This show is like Monster High but with the kids of the fairytale characters. The concept is similar to the Descendents's one except that EAH came first (but sadly it stoped airing after Disney created Descendents bc it was too similar and of course Disney had more viewers.)
There are 3 songs : Ever After High (the opening song), Do You Wonder? (from Way Too Wonderland) and Power Princess Shining Bright (from Dragon Games).

Totally! I would say Gen 2 is optional (Welcome to Monster High and Electrified), it was not as good at the first gen, but not bad.
And I don't know about Gen 3, I saw the live action movie and hated it, but maybe the serie is good...
Anyway you should totally rewatch it, at least Gen 1!

Someone enjoying monster high is bringing out my child heart out and its been awhile since i watched monster this brought me back
Another show you should check out the music from is called Freefonix. It's ancient at this point (2009), and has been dead for many years, but I personally think it is criminally underrated. The songs were phenomenal (and, not that it's important, but they were written by Magnus Fiennes, the brother of Ralph Fiennes, best known as Voldemort).
The show boils down to battles between two bands, Freefonix and Mantyz (the singing voice for Mantyz's lead singer is provided by Justin Hawkins from the band The Darkness). Freefonix is more pop/hip-hop styled, but Mantyz is more rock focused. There's also a character called Sugar Che who is voiced by Jamelia.
Unfortunately, none of the Mantyz songs ever got released officially, but there is an album of some of Freefonix's best tracks. The songs I would most reccomend would be They'll Make a Monster of You, Frequalize, Born to It, What is Cool?, and Top of the O. And that's not even including the songs that only exist in the show, like Come and Get It/Rock and Reign, Kiss My Bass and Fly.
