And now I imagine Matthew cutting the camera, sitting in front of Andrew and saying "okay, now I filmed that video. So tell me everything about the context"
Just a question: Are we in a era of Matthew reacting to every banger that Disney Channel made that he never listened to or just forget with time? If so, I would die for!
The lead werewolf girl who started the singing for Flesh and Bone also sings in "We Own the Night", "Call to The Wild", and she had more of a background vocals in "One for All". All are from the second movie and all are soo good. Edit: I forgot about another song she sings main in, "Come on Out" from the third movie, honestly the werewolves have the best sounding songs.
The actor (plays Bucky) that did the flips in the Fired Up song is a really good dancer and even was apart of a Disney show that was all about a dance studio and dance competitions which hosted no stunt doubles and purely just the actors amazing dancer skills. They even had dancers of different genres just dancing together.
If you’re talking about Trevor/TNS it’s not a Disney Channel show(at least it was not originally made for Disney) it’s a Canadian “Family Channel” show/cbbc
more than actors with amazing dancer skills they were just dancers that had some little knowledge about acting, the show just tried to bring real dancers without caring if they have acted ever before, that's why the acting wasn't that good in that show but the dance was amazing
The movies just get stranger and stranger, from (humans & zombies) to (humans, zombies, werewolves) to ( humans, zombies, wearwolves, aliens). I think the first one was definitely the best though, it has the best songs

I believe the point of Zombies was about racism and segregation. For example the zombies being hated by humans and the two groups not being allowed to be together. And the werewolves would be the first people on the land and they were colonized. The aliens idk but you have to watch commentary on the Zombies movie to know what I'm talking about.
it may have its "charm" but its definitely got its flaws. i really hope you're not just going to brush everyone who don't find the movie heartwarming and special as just "haters" since this movie does deserve criticism. and its valid for people not to like this movie. especially since this movie is so bad as a racism allegory
If you want to hear more of the first girl on the last song then I recommend listening to the songs “we own the night” and “come on out”. I also recommend the song “alien invasion” it’s more of a group song but she does sing in it a bit.
The werewolves owned my heart the moment they were introduced, they are so cool and I loved the songs! Bucky somehow also became one of my favorite characters as well!
PLEASE listen to more of the werewolf songs! Call of the Wild, We Own The Night, and Come On Out are my favorites in the series. Other great songs are BAMM, I'm Finally Me, and Alien Invasion.
Someday is my favorite song out of the 3 movies. I love it so much. Milo(Zed) is my current "Disney" crush. He's so cute/handsome and I love his voice so much. I hope to see more reactions like this in the future 💜
I love how he's trying to understand the movie without having watched the movie and basing himself only by the songs that aren't even in chronological order
The light at 18:35 is called a Ghost Light! They are used in theaters after all the other lights are out / overnight (for safety, so people don't fall off the stage and/or into the orchestra pit). They also keep the ghosts happy, as most theaters are believed to be haunted in some way.
Also, I really like the movies for the symbolism you can put on the different types of monsters. You mentionned segregation and it's definitely a very strong theme in the first movie, although the zombies can be a metaphore for a number of minorities. I would argue zombies would be a closer metaphore to people with HIV: people are scared because they used to be "dangerous" through absolutely no fault of their own when nobody knew how to deal with it, which led to abandonment and violence and death, and now they have medical devices that allows them to live better lives but there is still a stigma on them. Obviously it's not a perfect metaphore at all but you get the idea. The parallels with racism are also very clear and strong. It's really a big mix of it all. In the second and third movies, the parallels are even clearer : the werewolves are very clearly meant to represent native americans, and the aliens are the definition of refugees. I won't go into too much detail to avoid spoiling too much, but I think those themes are super interesting.
Glad someone else sees the connection to HIV/AIDS as well. No one mentions it, but I also think it has similarities to Jews during the Holocaust. When it was mentioned the zombies have to wear certain clothing and the Z-bands, I immediately thought of the Star of David and the tattoos some were forced to get. The school desegregation is obvious, but I like the nods these movies have to the discrimination that many different groups have faced. Edit: Can't believe I forgot to mention this point, but Zombietown has a slight American and European internment/concentration camp of WW2 aspect, too.
Definitely, it's just better. Songs, story execution, choreography, it was all just amazing. Now, that's not to say Zombies *isn't* good, there was just better songs, choreography, and the story was executed better in Descendants.
@@IGoofedUpActually, that's their opinion, If you think zombies is better then good for you. But everyone is allowed too like what they want, not everyone needs too have the same opinion as you.💀
The reasons I prefer Z-O-M-B-I-E-S: 1) It doesn't mess with a pre-existing canon. As a HUGE Disney fan, Descendants is kind of a weird thing to watch (kind of like Once Upon a Time)... like, it's a really interesting take, but part of my brain always keeps yelling "But that didn't happen!" 2) It just fully embraces the campiness. Descendants sometimes feels like it takes itself a little too seriously (IMO), while Z-O-M-B-I-E-S knows exactly how ridiculous it is and just leans into that hard; which also, interestingly, makes the truly meaningful moments stand out more. By highlighting its own silliness, it comes across as somehow more genuine, and I absolutely LOVE stuff like that (Legally Blonde the Musical is another great example).
I feel where Descendants benefits is that it had fewer songs per movie, so it gave the plot more time to breathe, and the movies are also half an hour longer. Doesn't mean ZOMBIES isn't good, just that in my opinion Descendants is better overall.
little note i wanted to make on the actor of the antagonist cheerleader guy (Trevor i think). His actor was in the next step which is a series about dancing, basically he is a very known dancer. Just wanted to leave that here, amazing video as always Mathew
I recommend all of the songs from Julie and Phantoms. Its a show so there are plenty to choose from. The songs I recommend to start out are Perfect Harmony, Edge of Great, Other Side of Hollywood and Now or Never. The actor who plays Hades in Descendants is in this show too.
OMG I'm SO happy you reacted to these and I really hope you react to more! Maybe even the whole movies? If not, it's okay. But I really want to see you find out about the context and being hilarious about it as usual x) Also, Flesh and Bones? Definitely the best song out of the trilogy, even though Exceptional Zed lives rent-free in my head XD
i love exceptional zed and its reprise! essentially zed was a very important force against zombie prejudice in this world and he's trying to get into college lol (the first zombie to do so). i love the reprise lyrics: "I know that I may be different Who that's exceptional isn't We have a spark that can change things It's not a curse, it's amazing I'm Exceptional Zed And so are my family and friends We're artists, athletes and activists Who always give it our best We don't need to pretend 'Cause we won't ever fit in And we're not just awesome in spite of that We take pride in that instead We're all exceptional" i think it's incredibly cheesy but fits these movies so much. also zombies 3 came out right as i was graduating high school so it felt like the end of my childhood if that makes sense. it isn't a very good movie but i love it nonetheless
"Flesh and Bone" is one of my top two faves from the trilogy; now you've gotta listen to the other! It's the first song in the series, called "My Year." A wildly different vibe, but like, a fantastic setup to the whole story. Oh, and yeah, the first movie is basically just... Hairspray, but with zombies. (Also, the title is Z-O-M-B-I-E-S like a cheer! Like, you know when the cheerleaders spell out their team's name at a football game?)
him being so confused in Exceptional Zed is like the best part. but context wise, Exceptional Zed is about Zed (the main zombie character for the movies) being really nervous about an interview for college cause he’d be the first zombie to go the college. its the main conflict for him in the third movie as for the zombie part of ZOMBIES, zombies are technically a ‘race’ for the story. they were originally normal zombies but then people made ‘Z-bands’ which make them like normal people (but its stated they still need to mainly eat brains?) with more things. its really weird. As for the werewolves, theyre a native tribe. thats it. well, its more but theyre an allegory for natives. and the second movies plotline is literally the werewolves trying to get their sacred artifact back that they legit need to survive. edit: ik its just the first video but We own the night not being in here throws me off so hard for nothing. also like, matt’s gonna go through it given if he reacts to more cause the only song from the third movie was Exceptional Zed.
1:54 no They mostly have normal names yes but they all have z in their name somewhere Zoey (zed sister) eliZa( zed ither friend) bonZo (the that doesn't speak English) 2:15 vampirs and were wolves both have fangs 2:43 have their own language 7:45 have no idea 9:35 they have these armbands that keep them form going rouge in the first movie there was mass discrimination where zombies weren't allowed in to the main town and where meant to stay in the basement no sports, cheerleadering 18:16 after zed went out of the basement hit his leg and scared normals some set off an alarm he and the girl(Addison) both went out into this room and started singing 20:31 yep 25:23 more discrimination 27:28 he went rouge because his wristband got hacked by cheer leaders after eliza hacked it to give him a strength boos5 and human look
The "Someday" song (18:16) happens way after that scene in the movie. The hiding in the zombie safe room after the alarm is wrongly set off is how those two first meet at the beginning of the movie.
I'd definitely recommend "BAMM", "We Own the Night," "More than a Mystery," and "Come on Out," if you're thinking of listening to more ZOMBIES music. Some other songs that you specifically might end up liking are "I'm Winning," "Call to the Wild," and "Like the Zombies do"
Also yes the guy that did the flips, his actors name is Trevor Tordjman. He is an actor, singer and a VERY skilled dancer! He was a main character in “the next step” for many seasons ❤
I LOVE Zombies which was super embarrassing as an adult with no kids but there are serious bangers and i teared up on the 3rd movie. And I definitely think the bad mouthing is good natured cause the Zombies universe really doesn’t take itself that seriously.
Some of my personal favorites are call to the wild, I'm winning, Bamm (first one), do it like the zombies do, and one for all. Honestly all of them are great
I hope you do a second one for Z-O-M-B-I-E-S, and you include the songs “BAMM” and “We Own The Night”, which has the female you liked so much in your last covered song as one of the main singers, Willa.
just some context, the actor who plays 'the leader' in Fired up, was a dancer before acting, and was in a show The Next Step, so yes he does those flips himself
23:40 in that situation I'm not crapping my pants. I'd mainly cringe along with being very slightly alarmed by the fact their eyes are slits and glowing yellow along with having glowing necklaces

27:28 he went rouge because his wristband got hacked by cheer leaders after eliza hacked it to give him a strength boos5 and human look
This took forever so plz Don't point out spelling errors feel free to correct me if I got info wrong it been a whole since I watch the movie
Some other songs that you specifically might end up liking are "I'm Winning," "Call to the Wild," and "Like the Zombies do"
0:52 Andrew both have their own charm it’s not a competition
Everything is a competition. 😂 Just kidding. Was just stating my opinion. :)
Actually, you know what: Andrew's opinions are entirely correct in this one. Go Andrew!
I recommended this a week or so ago so happy hes doing it!
I love how confused he is 😂
the guy who plays the evil cheerleader was in the next step which was a rlly good dance show and he mainly did flips lmao
Also yes the guy that did the flips, his actors name is Trevor Tordjman. He is an actor, singer and a VERY skilled dancer! He was a main character in “the next step” for many seasons ❤
He’s just missing out on watching the actual movies entirely and knowing what their full plots are😭
I'm dying at him not knowing the plot! I think “My Year” would of given the most 🤣
No way- I just requested zombies yesterday on disc- and I see this-!! omg u just made my day T-T
Matt definitely needs to hear bonzo hit his high note during the class room especially cause he like bonzo😭 BC THAT WAS MY FAVORITE
I clicked As soon as I got the Notification Yesss My Favorite Movie Ever Thank you Sooo much Matthew ❤
I LOVE Zombies which was super embarrassing as an adult with no kids but there are serious bangers and i teared up on the 3rd movie. And I definitely think the bad mouthing is good natured cause the Zombies universe really doesn’t take itself that seriously.
All the werewolf songs from zombies 2 are bangers. Call to the wild is the best in my opinion
Best song of all the movies, hands down
13:58 that actor is a trained dancer
Yes, you chose some of the best songs from the movies too
Some of my personal favorites are call to the wild, I'm winning, Bamm (first one), do it like the zombies do, and one for all. Honestly all of them are great
Matthew: is that a light bulb in the mic?
Andrew: *holding his laughter* that is not a mic
really love the energy between these two lolll
Lime soda and a green haze turned them into zombies 🧟♂️
You should 100% do more zombies reactions!!! The song are so good imo
Mate…you really need to watch these movies, but it is kinda funny seeing you struggle with the context.
I can’t wait for more!! I love these movies
if you want more of your fav voice watch "We own the night" "call to the wild" also i hope you do "Like the zombies do" or "one for all"
“why do i love him? he’s a dick!” literally everyone with bucky, he’s *so* entertaining
I hope you do a second one for Z-O-M-B-I-E-S, and you include the songs “BAMM” and “We Own The Night”, which has the female you liked so much in your last covered song as one of the main singers, Willa.
Also, can we acknowledge that Mathew said they are clearly vampires to the werewolves but they were in sunlight
Fun fact the actor who plays Bucky could do that bc he is a really good dancer and was on a tv show a few years ago about danceera and other stuff
If you want to listen to other songs from the Disney channel movies, there are those from "Teen Beach movie", "Lemonade Mouth", "Camp Rock"
All the werewolves songs are by far the best songs in the Zombies franchise. I love "We Own The Night" and "Come On Out"
Andrew is so valid for saying fired up is the best song it’s my favorite
Thank you.
The guy in the second song who did the flips is actually a dancer and he was in one of my fav shows the next step which is abount dancing btw
Definitely listen to BAM (first movie) and We Own the Night (second movie). The two best Z.O.M.B.I.E.S. songs imo
just some context, the actor who plays 'the leader' in Fired up, was a dancer before acting, and was in a show The Next Step, so yes he does those flips himself
Omg i used to absolutely LOVE flesh and bone!! Like it was my favorite song ever! Also please do more of this and Descendants!!!
It’s so funny that he never just watches the first movie or any context and then asks about the exact plot and 😂
23:40 in that situation I'm not crapping my pants. I'd mainly cringe along with being very slightly alarmed by the fact their eyes are slits and glowing yellow along with having glowing necklaces
Please do more zombies songs!!!! "I'm winning" is a great Zed song and all of the werewolf songs are good tbh
"This is cheer try-outs" like Matthew will understand the context from that 😂
Yea. . . . Kinda forgot I was talking to a normal person and not from someone who does or has done cheer. 😅
