All the actors sound so good together it’s unreal that it’s just a kids show. I think you would enjoy the actual “freak the freak out” performance it’s one of my favourite
Honestly like now that I look back at Victorious I realise how overrated a singer tori was in the show when Jade and Kat were such amazing singers themselves 😭😭 and all together worked so well togwther

@@avr7120 No. The electrocuted octopus incident led to the rest of the gang to be put into prison. Tori was the only one to be put behind bars but then Robbie being the lovable idiot he is, killed the chancellor octopus or maybe it was a squid and had them all put into prison
Elizabeth Gillies and Ariana have actually been friends way before Victorious since they worked together on the broadway show 13! That’s probably one of the reasons they have such good chemistry in acting and singing; and of course Ariana brought Liz to perform Give It Up on tour. She also brought Matt Bennett who plays Robbie on Victorious to sing I think You’re Swell, and both Matt and Liz were in her Thank You, Next music vid as well as Matt being in the video for One Last Time!
"give it up" was a cultural reset. ari and liz's voices work together so nicely, and i hope one day they do a song together again since they're friends.
This show was a main reason why I started singing. Also for context: the show is based around Victoria “Tori” who got thrown into a highschool for talented kids. Hence why you see a ventriloquist dummy. It’s just like high school musical, just a little more poppy
@@vinyl_jjI'm going off from what I remember: The group decides to go on a trip and one of their friends, a food truck man takes them to his home country. But everything goes wrong. The hotel is nasty, people are weird and Trina (Tori's sis) somehow sticks herself in a suitcase cause she had nothing to do. Then Tori and the gang performs a musical ( I think) but Tori swings her feet up and her shoes swing to the president or whoever that man was that was wearing the military suit in the eye. That's why he has two eye patches. He already had one and Tori got the other 😂😂 Anyways, he then sentences Tori to prison and the gang tries to get Tori out but fails and they go to prison too. Then their teacher somehow convinces the military man to perform a show and they could leave if it was good enough. They perform the song and sneak off. The end ❤
@@vinyl_jj watch the show... otherwise the explanation wouldn't make sense, cause the food truck guy had a relative in "Yerba" and the gang wanted to go on vacation, so the guy told them about the place his... I wanna say cousin ( fake Boyle/ Gina in B99)... lives/works at with a "beautiful resort"... that kinda scam. But he omitted telling them it was a conflict country and ruled by a dictator, and they were soon sucked into a series of unfortunate events that ultimately landed them in jail. And since they wanted to go home, they concocted a plan to escape prison by organizing a talent show with the rest of the inmates.
Victoria Justice (Tori) is so underrated. I guess that’s to be expected since Ariana grande is in it and people tend to only focus on her, but Victoria has such a nice voice!
actually she's a bit overrated... ooor.. if you're gonna make her the star of a show, don't put Liz Gillies and Ariana Grande as "background" players cause... yeah... she kinda got eclipsed and looked like she was trying too hard.
Sad I didn't get to watch this earlier. & Honestly, I am 100% up to hearing your opinion on songs\shows that you have seen before as well - it's interesting to hear others' opinions on things.
My only two songs from the show is take a hint and give it up. Ever since as a kid, hearing Give it up, I wanted to hear more songs specifically with those two or at least a solo each. Yet as I expected, it wasn't really revolved around them :') Their voices even back then are a banger 🗣️🗣️
Actually the third song is also in the show but this was just a clip made for the song i guess but yoou can definitly fond the og scene from the show on youtube

I loved this show as a kid (still do)! My dad watched an episode with me once, and he said it was too inappropriate for me. I thought he was crazy, but then I watched it as an adult 😂
People seem to pull more towards power then voices like Victoria's, ari could hit high and low notes though, Victoria's voice is amazing to though. I guess it just depends what you prefer, personally I like both and I've seen power houses who can do songs well as well as people who don't have the same range but still amazing voices.
Honestly a lot of the songs would've felt empty without her, she couldnt do most of the runs or high notes that Ariana can do but she provided the power that they needed
1. Yes they go to karaoke a lot. The reason everyone is so hype is because most of us go to karaoke and just have fun. These characters go to a performing arts school and sound professional. 2. All I Want is Everything is a music video but the relationship is not part of the show. It has a part 2 of the music video where they do a fake flash mob for the guy as their "meet up". In the show, the song is actually used in the same special as the prison song. 3. Take a Hint was from an episode where the two girls had to hang out together, and as they're hanging out, 2 obnoxious guys start hitting on them and won't leave them alone. So they sing the song to get their point across and reject them. 4. "Where is Ariana?!" girl same. We all wanted more of her. We wanted more of everyone. The show was made for Victoria Justice, so it would've been kind of a crappy move to say "hey the other people we hired are more talented than you, so we're taking the show named after you and giving you fewer scenes and songs". The reality is the fans LOVED the ensemble and wanted it to become a more ensemble show (like Friends where everyone is equal), which it never did. As happens with many main characters, fans got sick of Tori. So everyone will complain saying Victoria Justice wasn't talented. Untrue, her voice is wonderful and she's a good lead. We just got sick of her as Tori because Tori was a boring and average character while the others were caricatures and had more interesting quirks, not to mention phenomenal vocals. [There's an episode where the characters all audition for a talent competition and the big complaint was how stellar everyone else did compared to Tori, but that was once again the whole point of the episode - they wanted someone good but relatable and easy to mold into whatever they wanted]. And obviously, Ariana Grande's vocal skill is out of this world and we know the training and intention behind so many of her runs and high notes, but again, it wasn't her show, and it's hard to make the "diva" vocalist the lead because she's not as down to earth relatable as a girl who is just a good singer and trying to figure out her wacky arts school. If memory serves, Jade got a couple of solos and Cat only ever sang duets and ensemble numbers, but I may be mistaken. 5. To reiterate everyone else's recap of the prison episode. The ensemble goes to a foreign country and performs for the chancellor. Tori's shoe comes off mid-dance (of All I Want is Everything, actually) and hits the chancellor in the eye. She gets sent to jail. Attempts at getting her free land them all in jail. They organize a performance for the chancellor where everyone sings I Want You Back, and Sound of Music style they slip out the back while everyone is distracted. Your joke was 100% spot on. This plot, to my recollection, is never addressed again in the series. 6. Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies during Give It Up was an iconic moment of the show. Firstly, because this is one of the first times we heard them really sing, so fans immediately fell in love with them both. Secondly, the girls were already best friends after having worked together on 13 the musical. So having them finally sing together was a big treat for anyone who followed them from before Victorious. I highly suggest, if you do another video, checking out more from Liz Gillies. 7. Dude with the glasses (Robbie) always has the puppet, Rex. He acts as if Rex is an actual separate person from him. Rex is basically his own character in this show. They ARE doing karaoke, not a talent contest, Rex just goes everywhere. Give It Up isn't part of a full on contest exactly, but more a personal competition against some other girls who insulted Jade & Cat after flirting with Jade's boyfriend.
i think the issue with victoria justice is... she WAS put in an ensemble cast with people with far better voices than hers. she has a beautiful voice but it's not versatile enough or interesting like ariana's or liz's, who were both broadway trained. but she was also a bit set up imo bc of the fact all the other characters were far more interesting than tori, who plays kind of the "straight man" character.
@@leilanyxTori’s never supposed to be the best tho. She’s the Harry Potter character; the inexperienced one thrown into a world that she’s not used to surrounded by people who know more about it.
@@Darkrose517 the girl was humbled many many times. Let’s not act like Victoria didn’t have a gorgeous voice. She fit right in with the other characters.
The unfortunate thing about the first song, All I Want is Everything, is that the 'official' version here is different from what was used in the actual show--which used a lot more backing vocals, but the official version here more heavily relied on Victoria Justice as the primary vocalist.
If you ever want to react to more Victorious songs, I know a bunch of songs from other cast members that you'll love! (And some just amazing songs by Victoria) 1. You don’t know me 2. Song 2 U 3. 365 days 4. I think you're swell 5. You're the reason (there are 2 versions, acoustic and normal) 6. Freak the freak out 7. Really? No "OK"? Or LA boys? Ooor.. "It's fun to run, it's fun to play, it's fun to make things outta clay, it's fun to sing, it's fun to break...things made of glass"? It wasn't just Jade who liked that song, you know?

Take A Hint is such a perfect duet, their voices sound great together. I wished you watched the episode versions rather than the official music videos. Like Beggin On Your Knees hits different when you know the episode and watch Tori in the scene, she’s a PERFORMER

Here’s my list of favorite Victorious songs. Give It Up Song For You Take A Hint Broken Glass (yes, it’s a song about broken glass) You’re The Reason Betgin’ On Your Knees Freak The Freak Out (it’s at the end of the episode Freak The Freak Out) Make It Shine (intro)
so glad you've reacted to Victorious songs!! if you wanted to get a better vibe of the show itself you should watch the versions of the in-show performances of the same songs, especially beggin on your knees!
they are in a prison! this performance was to apologize to the chancellor of yerba for accidentally hitting him in the eye with a shoe. they also use this as an escape route.
The context for the prison one doesn't make it any less insane. The group went on holiday to a fictional European country at war, and in order to pay for their stay there they had to perform at the hotel. When singing the first song you heard, "All I Want Is Everything" , Tori's (Victoria Justice) shoe flies off her foot and hits the country's leader in the eye, which gets her sent to prison. When her friends are trying to persuade the leader to release her, the guy with the puppet accidentally electrocutes the leader's pet octopus, sending the rest of them to prison as well. In order to escape, they teach all the inmates to dance to that song as a distraction and are able to run out the back during a dance break to get on a truck that will get them over the border which is driven by their teacher who disguised himself as a prison guard to assist them. I swear I'm not making any of that up.
I used to be OBSESSED with Ariana and Liz's Give It Up I listened to this song soooo many times it was unhealthy lol. They're such good singers it's insane.
If you revisit this, definitely make sure to watch the clips from the show instead of the music videos. They’re always more fun and dynamic. I especially recommend “Finally Falling”, “Freak the Freak Out”, “You’re the Reason”, and “Make it Shine”. ESPECIALLY the actual clip of “Finally Falling”.
this was my favorite show growing up, i was obsessed. so glad you're checking it out :) further song recommendations: •freak the freak out •song 2 you •broken glass •5 fingaz to the face •you don't know me •dont you (forget about me) and if you want more ariana, L.A. Boyz
The technique your thinking of at 8:09 is either a growl or what’s called a vocal fry ( I’m leaning towards the latter) it’s a stylistic choice artists use that is always impressive when done right!! It does sound a lot like a voice crack!
somehow you’ve watched almost everything i’ve had a phase with in like the past week 😭😭 (mlp, monster high, eah, descendants) i’m glad to see you’re enjoying them !
16:43 they went to a small country for vacay, couldn't pay hotel so they said they would perform in exchange for staying, they performed for the Chancler, kicked a shoe into his eyes, they got arrested so then they trained the prisoners how to perform and befriended them so that they can help them escape the prison and leave the country with the performance as a distraction.
I still listen to a lot of Victoria Justice songs up to this day, Best Friend Brother, Freak the Freak out and Beggin on your knees is a holy trinity for me

I just want to take a moment to appreciate your existence because all of the songs you have reacted to are absolute bops and I've known this since the beginning of time but not a lot of people appreciate the art of these songs, so I love seeing how open you are to new music suggestions and everytime you upload I get so excited to see you appreciated what is underappreciated! Keep doing what you're doing because you're so great to watch and I love how passionate you are about music!
I was just listening to shut up and dance last night and this morning. a really underrated song from victorious. there’s the tv version and the album version. you can choose just know the album version is a Victoria justice solo while the tv version has a bunch of the cast singing with more pronounced harmonies
Context wise for take a hint the girls were out “bonding” for a play target were in together and they two guys wouldn’t stop hitting on them and then asked the girls to sing for them so they chose take a hint for obvious reasons. The boys look into it for a while because obviously they can’t take a hint. The prison video they were indeed in prison in a foreign country and trying to escape. I think that number was probably inspired by the prison flash mob thriller thing that happened. The guy with the puppet always has the puppet it’s his thing. They do a decent amount of karaoke just because a lot of them are singers so it’s something they do for fun.
Yes! Please go down the Victorious rabbit hole! You won’t regret it! My favorite songs are actually by the other characters in the show. All of them are very talented (in music or in other ways). My Song Recommendations for Reactions: - Song To You (Remade from the kids song they made called Favorite Foods) - LA Boys - You Don’t Know Me - Countdown - 365 Days - Here’s To Us -Freak The Freak Out - I Think You’re Swell - You’re The Reason (either version) Love your reactions!! ❤❤❤
the fact that you didn’t even hear the full version of give it up. it has a whole bridge where ariana hits some whistle note runs. it’s so incredible and the fact that nickelodeon didn’t put it in the episode is a crime
There are obviously many more songs from Victorious that will be requested (such as Freak the Freak Out), but one that I personally want to highlight is Leave It All To Shine, a mix of two theme songs.
Give It Up had absolutely no business being as good as it is. I need Ariana and Liz to remaster it with all the riffs, runs and whistle tones and upload it directly to my brain
I think the reason these songs don't sound made-for-TV is because a lot of them weren't. Victorious as a whole was kind of a stealth promotion for Victoria Justice's music, so a good number of the songs she sings in the show are songs Nickelodeon was already professionally producing for her. Ariana Grande was cast on the show as the silly airheaded best friend character. Nickelodeon did not expect her to blow up bigger than Victoria. By the time they recognized what they could've had, she was already signed to a bigger label. That's why you don't see Ariana sing a whole lot in this show, even in the later seasons. Nick doesn't own her music.
7:51 Jade and Tori have a date in this episode, and we can FEEL THE ENERGY! Just say, that if they want this two togheter in the show, they could be done.
The way Mathew has no context of the show while reacting to it is infuriating in the best way possible haha! 20:30 For context: Many of the main characters can sing, they are in a fine arts school, so everyone there has some sort of talent. The guy with the puppet is a ventriloquist, but his puppet is his best friend, but doesn't like to be called a puppet - he has his own personality.
05:05 Mathew over here making the funniest joke I've heard in weeks and moving on like nothing's happened I wish Elizabeth Gillies got more recognition, she is so, so good
you being shocked by the ventriloquist dummy and for your friend to explain it away as them being in a 'talent show' really hit me out of left field and made me realize just how out there the whole premise of rex is. nah man, it is MUCH weirder than that.
I love how he was confused about I want you back in episode there is so much context you need to know in the WHOLE SHOW there is A LOT of context you should know but it doesn’t stop him from Enjoying these songs so much lol
the whole show is about a high school of the arts and you see them in restaurants that do karaoke quite often lol. They sing ALOT and almost all of them are bangers
As someone who adores this show and knows it back to front, ill be the one to provide some context. In the I Want U Back performance, the reaspn theyre in prison is because the group went on a trip to a fictional country called Yerba and during a performance for the one-eyed chancellor, Trina's (Daniella Monet's character) heel comes flying off and hits the chancellor in his good eye, and while theyre trying to apologize to the now blind chancellor Robbie (Matt Bennett's character) accidentally kills the chancellor's pet so they get thrown in prison and do a Jackson 5 number as a distraction so they can escape.
15:52, heres the explanation. They were on a free vacay to perform in a weird place. when they performed torikicked a shoe in the only working eye of the president thing, so she went to jail .. the others tried to help her but robbie dropped a lamp in the octupus aquarium of the president thing. and so they are all together in jail.
In the episode where they sang the I Want You Back cover, they go on vacation in another country. They were in prison because they accidentally insulted the Chancellor and hit him in his good eye. The concert was a distraction to escape. I have a few suggestions for more VicTorious songs: Tell Me That You Love Me, Shut Up And Dance, You Don't Know Me, Finally Fallin', Here's 2 Us, Song2You, LA Boyz, 365 Days, 5 Fingaz To The Face, Broken Glass
that guy with the ventriloquist dummy is robbie. the dummy is rex and is present for the whole show (rlly confusing tho bc apparently he’s not a “puppet” and has spoken without robbie being in control so idk how that makes sense since the universe is the same as ours) so ya it was a karaoke thing not a talent contest!
Also, please do a part two with more Andre, Jade, and Robbie! I feel like these are top tier songs from the show but the others are pretty good or even silly at times.
Context for the prison video. it was from me the Victorious movie, where they get thrown in prison in another county. I don't remember everything that happen in the movie, but I think the reason they perform is so they can escape. Another context for why the show/Movie did this was because this was after Michael Jackson died it was a tribute to him as well as, a nod to the viral youtube video of a prison in China. That made the prisoners dance to MJ for exercise and it was huge thing because they were so coordinated.
If you come back for more songs for the show, I'd highly recommend some of the songs that feature Leon Thomas' character. Dude is also really good and pairs with Victora super well.
Freak the freak out and Okay are probs my fav songs, highly rec. Also, context for 'All I want is everything': *spoilers for that episode* They're on holiday in another country and they had to do a preformance. Tori's shoe accidentally kicks off into the Chancellors good eye, hence 2 eyepatches. They get thrown into prison and Cat joins a gang and teaches them to dance so they give another performance to get out of prison and get out the country. I think, don't fully remember tbh.
“Why does he got a ventriloquist dummy?”: Me, who watched the entirety of the show and knows full well, still asking that question 😂 It’s so funny to watch the reactions to shows you’ve seen, out of context 😅
It was so damn good, I remember Victorious popping on TV and the songs were bangers fr. I also loved freak the freak out which in the show was just before or after the last one. Nothing related but I just happened to watch your reactions on some kpop groups and it was fun, so I wanted to share a girl group that I really appreciate, it's called Mamamoo and its four members are all talented vocalists. So if one day u happen to consider reacting to this group I would recommend the Dingo music Killing Voice one, they perform a bunch of extracts from their songs live, it's 15 mins long and as an introduction of what their voices and style can be I think it's a pretty good start^^ Anyway love watching your videos! 🔥🤍
In Locked! After Tori's shoe malfunction, she is accused of assaulting the chancellor of Yerba. Sent straight to jail for her obvious crimes, there seems no way out, until some unexpected help arrives.
You missed another banger from this show which is "Freak the Freak Out", and the main theme "Make It Shine". Also, you should listen to Victoria's new music as an independent artist. It's called "Only A Stranger", really different from her Victorious sound, but it's really good too.
Victorious is basically about performance, musically or otherwise, it takes place at a school of arts (which I'd think is higher than High School? Not sure though as I'm not American) and the main character gets accepted at the school for her singing performance I'd honestly advice you watch the first episode or something The show gets pretty crazy at times, like most of its predecessors (like Drake & Josh, Zoey 101 or iCarly), so yeah, they did perform in a prison of some kind in order to escape XD Also, the two guys they were singing at in the "Take a Hint" song are a pair of guys that were hitting on them relentlessly that evening, thus their choice of song to try and tell them off once and for all, though you can see throughout the song that it still takes them quite a while to get the hint X'D
songs that i recommend: - freak the freak out - tell me that you love me - the CLASSIC make it shine - you're the reason - finally fallin' - countdown and shoutouts to the sad news song and broken glass.
Also, yes, the last song is a karaoke. They were battling with two other girls who was better and could have the bar or something like that. There wasn't a lot of karaoke in the show, so it was just coincidence you picked 2 karaoke songs. The show actually is about a high school for kids with special talents. Tori (Victoria Justice) fills in at a performance when her sister's tongue swells up. Her sister was supposed to do the show. After that she gets offered a spot in the school where she becomes friends with Robbie, Cat, Jade, Beck and Andre. The show mostly follows them through school as crazy things happen to them. Like, there was one episode about method acting where they wrote each other's characters and had to go to the house of their Drama teacher mr. Sikowitz and keep playing their part for a full day and night or the episode where they had to give up their phone for as long as they could. My personal favorite was the 'Breakfast Club' episode where they did the whole Breakfast Club thing, except making the characters fit the Victorious characters. Another favorite of mine was their crossover episode to ICarly. The show is actually pretty fun and amusing and even as an adult I sometimes just go back and watch it.
The song where they look like they're in prison, if I remember correctly, they were in a foreign country and injured the president or something, that's why the guy has eye patches. I watched Victorious many years ago, but I believe that's the context of this particular scene.
give it up is still one of my fav songs, i often listen to it because their voice just fits together so well. by the way the prison kinda thing was an episode where they vent on a vacation and they have to perform every night to be there at no cost, and tori's (victoria justice) shoe flew away the to the eye of the guy who was wearing two eye patch (he was some kind of president in that country) and thats why they get into jail, and as you can see they escaped by doing another perfomance. (english is not my first language, sorry if i misspell something, or write something thats not understandable ^^)

Why was one of the songs in a prison or something?? I really want to know the context to that😭
@@vinyl_jjI'm going off from what I remember:
The group decides to go on a trip and one of their friends, a food truck man takes them to his home country. He already had one and Tori got the other 😂😂
Anyways, he then sentences Tori to prison and the gang tries to get Tori out but fails and they go to prison too. Then their teacher somehow convinces the military man to perform a show and they could leave if it was good enough.
They perform the song and sneak off.
The end ❤
@@Neon-is-Purple oohh ok tysm for explaining!
@@vinyl_jj yw
They don’t back then Ariana wasn’t as popular or recognizable
@@Lexa21875 I’m talking about lately!! Especially when victorious was trending on TikTok and Netflix a year or so ago
Yeah, Victoria Justice is a great singer, her voice is Soo good... She was my favorite from Victorious
actually she's a bit overrated... ooor.. if you're gonna make her the star of a show, don't put Liz Gillies and Ariana Grande as "background" players cause... yeah... she kinda got eclipsed and looked like she was trying too hard.
Yes, she has a very good bass voice, she sounds like a 90's singer
0:35 All I want is everything
7:25 take a hint
10:30 begging on your knees
14:00 i want you back
17:45 Give it up
Sad I didn't get to watch this earlier.
Yet as I expected, it wasn't really revolved around them :')
Their voices even back then are a banger 🗣️🗣️
Yes!!!! “Give it Up” is a banger!
Actually the third song is also in the show but this was just a clip made for the song i guess but yoou can definitly fond the og scene from the show on youtube
@@badongasalonga like ones I mostly go back too very often. Found out when I first listened to their voices in the duets, I preferred their voices. Don't worry, I know the other songs are great and nostalgic ❤️
@@badongasalongathe only one I don't like as much is song 2 u but that's cause I don't like how they treat trina overall
Best friends brother is a banger tho
i would replay that section of the episode and sing along on the tv lmao
I loved this show as a kid (still do)! My dad watched an episode with me once, and he said it was too inappropriate for me. I thought he was crazy, but then I watched it as an adult 😂
haha
Haha mine too, when watching the iparty with victorious episode😂 the scene where beck jade and scicowitz in the pool
lmao fancy seeing you here (saw your comment on spilling the milk’s video)
I’m sad Victoria doesn’t get a lot of credit. She’s still a very great singer. Just because she’s not a power house doesn’t mean it’s not good
People seem to pull more towards power then voices like Victoria's, ari could hit high and low notes though, Victoria's voice is amazing to though.
@@nativenewyorker3144EXACTLY
@@nativenewyorker3144 The problem is that throughout the series everyone ACTS like she's the best.
@@Darkrose517 the girl was humbled many many times. Let’s not act like Victoria didn’t have a gorgeous voice. She fit right in with the other characters.
The unfortunate thing about the first song, All I Want is Everything, is that the 'official' version here is different from what was used in the actual show--which used a lot more backing vocals, but the official version here more heavily relied on Victoria Justice as the primary vocalist.
victoria justice has a super nice voice. i just love how deep, raspy and powerful it is!
If you ever want to react to more Victorious songs, I know a bunch of songs from other cast members that you'll love! (And some just amazing songs by Victoria)
1. You don’t know me
2. Song 2 U
3. 365 days
4. I think you're swell
5. You're the reason (there are 2 versions, acoustic and normal)
6. Freak the freak out
7. Make it shine
Any songs by the character Andre (played by Leon Thomas) are an absolute bop and really amazing.
Really? No "OK"? Or LA boys? Ooor.. "It's fun to run, it's fun to play, it's fun to make things outta clay, it's fun to sing, it's fun to break...things made of glass"? It wasn't just Jade who liked that song, you know?
@@m0t0b33 I understand. I'm not gonna list him thr entire list of songs from the show. I wanted him to listen to songs from other characters because Victoria sings most of the songs. And the Broken Glass song is good but I feel he'd just laugh the entire time and I don't know if he'd actually listen to the vocals or just the lyrics.
Take A Hint is such a perfect duet, their voices sound great together. I wished you watched the episode versions rather than the official music videos. Like Beggin On Your Knees hits different when you know the episode and watch Tori in the scene, she’s a PERFORMER
the one from take a hint he watched was the episode version, the other in the prison set was too. other songs were not, mostly he watched the music videos nick produced
Here’s my list of favorite Victorious songs.
Give It Up
Song For You
Take A Hint
Broken Glass (yes, it’s a song about broken glass)
You’re The Reason
Betgin’ On Your Knees
Freak The Freak Out (it’s at the end of the episode Freak The Freak Out)
Make It Shine (intro)
One of my favourites is “You don’t know me”. Not because it’s necessarily the best, but it’s still definitely a jam!!
You need to react to more Victorious songs in the future! One that I recommend is called You Don’t Know Me
so glad you've reacted to Victorious songs!! if you wanted to get a better vibe of the show itself you should watch the versions of the in-show performances of the same songs, especially beggin on your knees!
Victorious songs ate begging on your knees and all I want is everything and freak the freak out all my trinity for Victoria Justice period ❤
You have GOT to do Jades solo from the show You Don’t Know Me it’s absolutely incredible
My personal favorite victorious song is Countdown. Its a duet between the main character and her bff, Andre
they are in a prison! this performance was to apologize to the chancellor of yerba for accidentally hitting him in the eye with a shoe. they also use this as an escape route.
PLEASE do the Victorious and ICarly theme song mix next! It really shows off their voices well!
Leave it all to shine
Frrr that part where they sing see the brighter side of every situation and it’s like a minor chord AHHH
I loved Victorious growing up. Glad you're listening to the songs!
I swear I'm not making any of that up.
that entire episode felt like a fever dream😭🤣
I used to be OBSESSED with Ariana and Liz's Give It Up I listened to this song soooo many times it was unhealthy lol. They're such good singers it's insane.
If you revisit this, definitely make sure to watch the clips from the show instead of the music videos. They’re always more fun and dynamic. I especially recommend “Finally Falling”, “Freak the Freak Out”, “You’re the Reason”, and “Make it Shine”. ESPECIALLY the actual clip of “Finally Falling”.
My childhood! I loved all these songs from this show❤❤❤❤❤ . Thanks for making this video it made my day even brighter
This show had no right slaying so hard with their songs lmao
this was my favorite show growing up, i was obsessed. so glad you're checking it out :)
further song recommendations:
•freak the freak out
•song 2 you
•broken glass
•5 fingaz to the face
•you don't know me
•dont you (forget about me)
and if you want more ariana, L.A.
I still listen to a lot of Victoria Justice songs up to this day, Best Friend Brother, Freak the Freak out and Beggin on your knees is a holy trinity for me
i cant express how happy ur videos make me ;D its weird because everytime i have a rough day u happen to post the second i open youtube. thank u for doing what u do !!
I've barely started the video and I'm so exited! I love Victorious and the music is so good!
Omg I love victorious it was literally my childhood
Frrr
My Song Recommendations for Reactions:
- Song To You (Remade from the kids song they made called Favorite Foods)
- LA Boys
- You Don’t Know Me
- Countdown
- 365 Days
- Here’s To Us
-Freak The Freak Out
- I Think You’re Swell
- You’re The Reason (either version)
Love your reactions!! ❤❤❤
the fact that you didn’t even hear the full version of give it up. it has a whole bridge where ariana hits some whistle note runs. it’s so incredible and the fact that nickelodeon didn’t put it in the episode is a crime
Victorious songs are great the story is weird but funny and entertaining but what was bad was the person running it behind the scenes
05:05 Mathew over here making the funniest joke I've heard in weeks and moving on like nothing's happened
I wish Elizabeth Gillies got more recognition, she is so, so good
You just keep on coming with my childhood shows😭😭😭 live laugh love Mathew🤍
you being shocked by the ventriloquist dummy and for your friend to explain it away as them being in a 'talent show' really hit me out of left field and made me realize just how out there the whole premise of rex is. nah man, it is MUCH weirder than that.
Omg “All I want is everything” is my favorite. You started off with a banger.
Victorious slaps so hard, and it will always hit different!
Liz Gillie’s voice is so amazing, she’s incredible 😭
the actual scene for begging on your knees for me is one of my fave scenes in the show, i absolutely love the friends united fuck you vibe👏🏻
you should try some disney junior shows like "sofia the first" , disney always delivers when it comes to writing songs
YES
Asulted him not insult and killed his eels
@@The_froggy_one He was definitely insulted by being kicked in the face by a shoe. And it was an octopus not eels.
that guy with the ventriloquist dummy is robbie. the dummy is rex and is present for the whole show (rlly confusing tho bc apparently he’s not
a “puppet” and has spoken without robbie being in control so idk how that makes sense since the universe is the same as ours) so ya it was a karaoke thing not a talent contest!
Also, please do a part two with more Andre, Jade, and Robbie! I feel like these are top tier songs from the show but the others are pretty good or even silly at times.
"Feels like my man grabbed it straight off a bicycle"💀
That was so unexpected but I love it!
The guy with the ventriloquism dummy's name is Robbie. He always has his dummy, Rex, no matter where he is.
Also, context for 'All I want is everything':
*spoilers for that episode*
They're on holiday in another country and they had to do a preformance. Tori's shoe accidentally kicks off into the Chancellors good eye, hence 2 eyepatches. They get thrown into prison and Cat joins a gang and teaches them to dance so they give another performance to get out of prison and get out the country. I think, don't fully remember tbh.
Never ask about the puppet just accept that It’s there….constantly
“Why does he got a ventriloquist dummy?”: Me, who watched the entirety of the show and knows full well, still asking that question 😂
It’s so funny to watch the reactions to shows you’ve seen, out of context 😅
oh if he reacts to mamamoo he's going to be mindblown, truely one of the most talented groups in all of kpop
In Locked! After Tori's shoe malfunction, she is accused of assaulting the chancellor of Yerba. Sent straight to jail for her obvious crimes, there seems no way out, until some unexpected help arrives.
I grew up with victorious and the songs were so good that even my parents liked watching it with me
You missed another banger from this show which is "Freak the Freak Out", and the main theme "Make It Shine".
Also, you should listen to Victoria's new music as an independent artist. It's called "Only A Stranger", really different from her Victorious sound, but it's really good too.

Victorious is basically about performance, musically or otherwise, it takes place at a school of arts (which I'd think is higher than High School? Not sure though as I'm not American) and the main character gets accepted at the school for her singing performance
I'd honestly advice you watch the first episode or something
The show gets pretty crazy at times, like most of its predecessors (like Drake & Josh, Zoey 101 or iCarly), so yeah, they did perform in a prison of some kind in order to escape XD
Also, the two guys they were singing at in the "Take a Hint" song are a pair of guys that were hitting on them relentlessly that evening, thus their choice of song to try and tell them off once and for all, though you can see throughout the song that it still takes them quite a while to get the hint X'D
Was ‘take a hint’ created for VICTORIOUS?????
*THAT WAS HALF OF MY NIGHTCORE PHASE, AND I NEVER KNEW*
songs that i recommend:
- freak the freak out
- tell me that you love me
- the CLASSIC make it shine
- you're the reason
- finally fallin'
- countdown
and shoutouts to the sad news song and broken glass.
Sooooo many people had their "gay awakening" from the counting part in Take A Hint at my high school that it became a local meme XD
I’m not even kidding, yesterday, after I watched the descendants video, I was thinking that you should do a reaction on VICTORIOUS songs
The song where they look like they're in prison, if I remember correctly, they were in a foreign country and injured the president or something, that's why the guy has eye patches. I watched Victorious many years ago, but I believe that's the context of this particular scene.
I love Elizabeth Gillies voice in my opinion she is the most talented singer in the cast and should have had more chances to sing.
20:37 it was a karaoke contest…and the character always Carrie’s the dummy around everywhere.
Well I hope you enjoy the one of the 3 Ariana songs in the entire show. THERE IS LITERALLY 57 EPISODES SND THEY GAVE HER 3 SONGS
How I feel about Lizzy/ (jade)
11:05 it’s okay I didn’t realize ‘take a hint’ was from Victorious
First descendants then victorious?! Man you’re really catering to all my guilty pleasures
give it up is still one of my fav songs, i often listen to it because their voice just fits together so well. by the way the prison kinda thing was an episode where they vent on a vacation and they have to perform every night to be there at no cost, and tori's (victoria justice) shoe flew away the to the eye of the guy who was wearing two eye patch (he was some kind of president in that country) and thats why they get into jail, and as you can see they escaped by doing another perfomance. (english is not my first language, sorry if i misspell something, or write something thats not understandable ^^)
"Take A Hint" is by far my favorite Victorious song. :D
