hey bro, a GPD WIN MAX 2 owner here from INDIGOGO, and here are my results (using the GPD to reply here ) : 1. After installing the fxsound software, I could already notice better sound quality using the standard PRESENTS. 2. However, after trying the WM2V2 present, the sound quality WAS A LOT BETTER! Thanks man!
This absolutely makes the sound profile so much better. The dry tinny sound actually gets an easily measurable bump in sound depth. That bass curve might be a little aggresive depending on how loud you put your speakers, so some might want to tune it down just a little. But for lowish sound volume its perfect.
I kept debating if I should or should not and decided against it, potentially wrongfully so. I'm not sound engineer so it's sooooo hard to capture those differences but I hear you, I'll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks for the support! :)
Hey Bro, thanks for your sharing, after installing and import the WM2v2 Profile, WinMax2 build-in speakers performance is a big jump. tested Edgerunner's song several times. FXsound is a must use software when listen music with bare internal speakers. But, if WInmax2 connects with a headphone (i tried 3.5mm Apple Earphone) or a Bluetooth handphone with or without FXsound's backup is no a big deal.

I'm pretty sure you can make FXSound only affect one output (eg. speakers uses FXSound // 3.5mm jack or bluetooth audio doesn't) in the settings, I should've thought of that and made a segment for it. Great sound profile, but had to knock the bass down a touch to 3 as I was noticing slight sound degradation in the bass on highs! This sorted it for me and still sounds great 😁

Some will tell you that if everything works as intended, let it be and from the side of caution, this is always a great advice. However, 1.05 has been so far a worry-free upgrade in my situation and did indeed fix some of the very minor things I had seen or heard people experience. As for software, you could apply the same approach, the one advantage is that it is far more easy to roll back a software, than it is a bios. Cheers! :)

Then I must instal a 3 profile keyboard for QWERTY but which one for 100% perfect with the layout of my origial keyboard ? 2. My internal SSD for 2 To is partionned for C 299 Go and D 1,55 To, why this setup and how change it for only 1 partition all space ? 3. After that i change SSD for 2280 4 To Gen 4, have you a best value for recommendation ? And how can i clone internal SSD to new 4 To ? 4. I read that some people recommend to full reinstal windows for clean instal without spywares, what do you think about this ? Real neccesary or not ? C'est un clavier qui ressemble plus à celui que tu devrais avoir sur ton Win Max 2 (QWERTY), mais tout en permettant les accents comme é ê ë è. 2. Ils ont tendance à faire cela de cette façon... Je ne saurais dire pourquoi mais tu peux effacer la deuxième partition et ajouter l'espace à la première à l'aide de "disk manager" qui est un outil disponible de Windows. 3. Pour ce qui est du clônage, il existe plusieurs programmes pour cela, je n'ai malheureusement pas de recommandations spécifiques mais GPD a sur leurs site à eux, une image native de celle par défaut de la Win Max 2, je recommanderais de faire l'installation de cette image simplement. 4. Personnellement, je ne me casse pas vraiment la tête avec ce genre de trucs, est-ce que les chinois nous espionnes avec des spywares? Peut-être mais qu'on se le dise, les américains font absolument la même chose alors à quoi bon, peu importe où on se pose, y'a quelqu'un qui nous observent, j'ai pas tendance à trop m'inquieter avec cela mais c'est un choix personnel. Thank you for the video I downloaded the program and the custom profile but as soon as I downloaded the program I kind of feel like the default settings on the program are better than the custom profile but I'll play around with it but definitely my volume jumped up immediately after installing the program huge difference.

@@rebelrider7651 So, I haven't tried emus at all yet so take my suggestion with a grain of salt. From many tests in the past with other devices, I personally find that Ryujinx works particularly great with fast ram, and these devices have pretty solid LPDDR5 clocked at 6400. I would consider trying both if that wasn't your intention, I wouldn't be surprised if at least some titles, run better on Ryujinx. However, that was many months ago, maybe the gap isn't as noticeable anymore. Tks again!

So the software is weird a bit. When you download the file, make sure to save it in a place you are familiar with, then in the software, you go to that folder but you won't see the file itself, instead you just accept from within the folder and it'll scan said folder and automatically add the preset to your list. I hope this helps, cheers! :)
You're free to try but technically, I'd say no. The only way it'd work the same is if GPD used exactly the same model of speakers and drivers were kept untouched and the housing is relatively identical. You'll come to understand that it is unlikely, however, you wouldn't break your speakers by trying so feel free to. Cheers!

Does the program need to be running in the background or is it a permanent fix?
In the background. If you get rid of the program, you get rid of its override of the stock drivers and everything it encompasses. Happy Holidays!
