I've never used any of these complicated punishes as a glad. On an OOS parry I get the two heavies in and feint the skewer for a second parry and double heavy, which sums up to 120dmg.
You and cent have some of the coolest and boner inducing oos punishes in the entire game tbh. Locking your enemies in a 40 minute long torture cutscene that requires precise timing is so fun. Shame cent really doesn't have tools to actually get said punishes but glad actually does.
Okay so, the zone attack part (8:10) isnt correct. Every hero with dodge attack except Jiang Jun and Shaolin can punish zone on reaction if it dodges left. Only left. That means: Conq, PK, Glad, Raider, Zerk, Valk, Shaman, Kensei, Orochi, Tiandi, Nuxia. They all can consistently punish gladiators zone if they react early enough. You have to always dodge left as you have more time due to hitboxes.
I like glad how he is tbh, working quite a bit harder for a dub than the other assassins (besides legit Orochi players) feels good. Especially not having confirmed dmg from a bash
Pierrino I think he has the fast guard due to his insanely fast feints, as otherwise his defensive capabilities would be a little too good compared to otherwise (I’m talking about base defence, like parrying and blocking, not actual defensive moves). The 500ms on chain lights I think aren’t really needed, and if anything will just turn him into another orochi situation, especially for newer players. What he may need could be the ability to dodge during the recovery of a heavy, then he could actually make use of his dodge a lot more, and can makeup for missing his skewer or heavies rather than getting guardbroken due to massive recoveries. Also, stamina reduction on certain attacks could help him stay in the game longer.
When you skewer next to wall and do the punch the heavy is confirmed if you throw the heavy in a different direction the enemies guard last was, for example its like shinobis confirmed ranged heavy after a deflect kick.
One parry punish: is to feint a heavy, back step light, normal skewer(NOT DELAYED), throw forward, into heavy, heavy feint, into toe stab, into heavy. After the skewer DO NOT CHANGE YOUR GUARD. The total damage is about 80 dmg In the first parry punish he mentions that u have to wait and then do the back step light, but the heavy feint is the perfect way around that. And yes, it is safe and consistent, but it also gets rid of a lot of stamina
Just a note on the punish at 6:10, you can wait much longer before throwing the heavy, allowing you to get 3 ticks in. You need to throw the heavy from the direction your opponent was not blocking from. You can switch your guard while glad is doing his punch.
Note: When u deflect someone when they’re oos, DO NOT CHANGE UR GUARD AFTER THROWING THEM WITH THE SKEWER. It does not gurantee the max punish and only gives u a heavy
What I use on a throw and parry: zone->side heavy, if I have a little stamina left I go for light->side heavy. Note, if u go for top unblockable, you can be guard broken when the opponent gets up, since the recovery is slow on top heavy.
The heavy off skewer wallsplat punch IS guaranteed, but you have to switch your guard to a side that the opponent's guard ISNT at when they were skewered. More often than not their guard will be to the direction that the skewer hit them, so you can get the heavy almost every time by just changing to either of the two other sides.
When you get a deflect and there are no walls nearby, as you just said, after you start to damaging the opponent with bleed, you do a forward dodge light for more damage. But, there's a specific delay time when you can be able to still do the forward dodge light. I'm saying this 'couse if you maximize the delay, you can apply more bleed damage before the forward dodge light attack. And this delay is huge, as the damage difference between the max delayed and the not one. Hope people find this tip from a glad main helpful. Great vid. (P.s. just to make an idea, the delay is something around 2 seconds and the damage difference around 15, I've never tested it specifically)
She got more options on a gb, but her max punishes are still the same, gb gives a triple bleed stab for 38. Oos i think she gets a light on a gb now. She also gets side heavies+bleed stab on gb but they do less than the bleed. Top heavy+bleed stab on light parry. Oos parry light heavy bleed stab. Oos gb, two stabs, throw dodge forward, then heavy if you do it right you should be able to get a neutral heavy instead of the dash heavy, but i'm not so sure about this one. Set a bot to block and put them oos in training and test it, if you can't get a heavy, you'll still get a dodge forward heavy + bleed stab.
To save some stamina on the knockdown punishes (with a heavy start), do a heavy, then toestab, you don't have to waste stamina on feinting the heavy. NB!!! You have to wait for glad to reach the end of his recovery after the heavy, basically a neutral toestab after the heavy recovery is done. Same with the knockdowns with the light starts, do light, change guard, wait for the guard to fade halfway, then toestab. This one is kinda difficult though.
can you do one of these kinda vids for Nobushi again? I know you did one a while ago when she had her season 5 nerf, but the punishes you showcased in that vid aren't always connecting for me anymore to the point where i don't think they actually work, mighta been changed somehow. Could you look into this?
The double light chain is actually usefull, most people aren't aware but, in some matchups, like to get highlader recoveries in certain instances after a whiffed light.
1:15 I disagree, while it's not guaranteed if you do a heavy in the opposite direction of the enemy guard you can catch them by surprise and land the heavy. I've yet to fail hitting someone with this, but you have to use the heavy immideately after the punch or they will see you coming and block.
Nobushi can punish Glad's zone since she can dodge the two instances of the zone thanks to her hidden stance She can either do hidden stance into dodge and get at least a dodge heavy if you time your input correctly as far as I know, or maybe do the opposite, that to say dodge into idden stance, and I think you can get heavy into kick into light but I'm not really sure That to say Noboshi can do things to counter gald's zone
You can get a forward dodge light after the skewer stun. Im not completly sure that this is true however, but it has worked for me every single time that ive done it
Nathan Martinez are you sure about that? There aren’t really any moves that inherently guarantee a guardbreak without the opponent performing a heavy or dodge or something, so it seems odd that this one does, but it also makes sense since you’d expect some sort of bigger punish to be guaranteed. I’ll test this myself just to make sure.
Red Snow sorry I was late, I had work. Anyways, I tested it 20 times and it never worked against a bot with only the counter guardbreak ability, every time it was able to counter me. HOWEVER, when I tested it with a friend (I didn’t tell him what the aim of my test was, so that he wouldn’t be immediately prepared for the one move), I could consistently pull it off 3-5 times before he adapted. So, in its essence it doesn’t guarantee a guardbreak, HOWEVER against other players, it most definitely has the potential to be performed successfully. This could probably only be pulled of a few times in a match against someone you’ve never used it against before you should just go for a light attack.
Cryde Golem My mistake! Appreciate you testing this out. I haven’t ever had anyone counter gb from that ever (rep 8 glad) so I just assumed it was free lol, thank you for correcting me
1:05 "This move guarantees absolutely nothing" Apart from decent stamina damage AND 10 damage if you have Haymaker AND is instantaneous. Good in a pinch and allows Gladiator to better use his kit whether that's a toe stab or a skewer throw.
On GB you get triple stab for most damage, you can also side heavy + light attack bleed for less damage; On heavy parry you get a light or zone; On light parry you get top heavy -> light attack bleed; On revenge parry you get light -> heavy -> light attack bleed; On OOS parry you get light -> heavy -> light attack bleed; On OOS GB you get two stabs -> forward throw -> forward dodge -> top heavy -> light attack bleed (delay the heavy slightly, so it's a normal heavy and not the dash heavy) --- after the forward dodge you can alternatively go for double lights guaranteed and go into a combo. Hope this helps!
I could be wrong u should see if a gb is confirmed after skewer against wall. I dunno if it's confirmed but I've never been countered there in my 19 reps of glad
oos throw: light combo finisher to heavy combo start. 60 damage. the side heavy is much faster than the top heavy and does the same 40 damage so probably go with that. on parry, helm splitter to unblockable just like before the patch. however, if they throw a top oos attack, go for the GB deflect to get max punish after a throw.
Idea for a video. Feats that don't do what they say. The conqueror feat knights have does not make pick up boosts last any longer. I can't get anyone to acknowledge this.
In my experience rework lawbringer can beat his ass, just use some turtle magic. On the OOS punishes with the skewer, they get back up too fast after the skewer throw and can react to a toestab after the heavy feint. Is this a mistake on my part, or is it just not possible anymore?
Still not working. I was testing out regular throws and the bot stays down for as long as you’d expect. When I hit them, though, they seem to immediately get up, allowing for a dodge. This may be due to me playing on console, or it might just be that I’m garbage at the game. 🤷♂️ Edit: I also tested with characters with hyper armor (to see if they would absorb the first hit), like how you used Hitokiri in the video, but that was not the problem, either. Do kensei next, I play him often enough to consider him a secondary main, but I only know the parry punishes. I just go for a heavy or delayed heavy and try to go for a light when they get knocked down.

This was really gamy for me and ruined this match. Pls is this a bug or a cheat?
We played dominion on public server.
Honestly no clue. Very easily could've been either, though I would lean on the side of the second.
Max punishes for afk opponents next
*Random Raider grunts come closer*
Id like it if you did Shaolin next 🤷🏼♂️
How do you do that punch near the wall? 6:06
5:58
If you're up against a wall and throw them against it with a skewer, he'll stun with the buckler instead of actually throwing
@@RaawHax nice
Do kensei next, I play him often enough to consider him a secondary main, but I only know the parry punishes. I just go for a heavy or delayed heavy and try to go for a light when they get knocked down.
For an oos punish I found, do a forward throw, side light chain finish, then a heavy from the same side. It allows you to immediately go into the second hits of Kensei's chain.
Do bp if theres anything to update
I'm pretty sure you can do forward dodge lights instead of regular lights in oos gb throws for 50, instead of 45 damage.. Am I wrong? Did they change the timing?
You cant do that anymore
@@joeldibra8825 do u know if they took away warlords double side heavy after an oos gb as well? I can't seem to get those anymore... But if they changed his unlocked guard location to the top then its fine bc u could do the top heavy to side. I assume
@@Burtyburtburt8 i dont play warlord like at all, but i think that he gets a light+heavy, same thing for warden too...
Is that even legal
I suggest making the max punish for the banner boy warden
Centurion or warden?
Hey Guys i need some advice, i want to main a new hero so: Theres Raider i have pretty nice Kd with him but its a lot of spamm, but i like him. Then theres Highlander but in 1vs2/1vs3 situation he is really bad but in a 1vs1 he is hella good and he is a lot of fun just not in 1vs2/1vs3 situations. Maybe someone can help me^^
Can you confirm to me if they changed something about Aramusha? His OOP heavy into heavy after parry is now unsafe
It was always unsafe
Deflecting near to wall and shield bash gives you heavy, try to hit in other directions(?)
no, it doesn't
no matter what guard you or your opponent were in previously, it's always blockable
freeze does it give a gb?
Would like to see pk next
Forward throw with skewer near wall gets you gb for heavy
Do centurion next please!!
Cent's doesn't need updating
OOS Warden or Cent?
damn holy shit i never knew shit was that complicated
