I played vs a decent Conq player (rep 11-19 with him I think, can't remember) after the patch happened and I for the life of me couldn't dodge any of his neutral bashes anymore. Hey freeze, do you think that static gaurd characters should have there gaurd on back dodges? My dash attacks often dont connect because they have it protecting them on their retreat. I think it should be removed.
So they changed the effects of stunning tap from lowering your stamina but never putting you oos - to taking less stamina but able to put you oos very easily. Very smart ubi
@@fkkfreeze Ah see lately I've tried on several occasions with different players with a heavy feint into GB however the heavy slips through the gb window.
Great video, as always. The stamina changes don’t exactly make sense to me. You’d figure since they want the game to be faster, they’d integrate that ideology into the stamina. I think I understand them a bit, but... it’s still confusing.
Hey Freeze, a topic that I think would be worth making a video on would be sprint attacks and how some characters have been ignored while some have been buffed like hell. For instance, orochi has it awful; 17 damage, slow as hell, garbage tracking. Whereas raider has a decently fast sprint attack with fantastic tracking that does 35 damage. Just a couple examples, but I think this is worth coverage
Now his flash bangs take you out of stamina? Ig i gotta become a raider main now if i wanna enjoy the game. Its either that or let them walk all over me
3:20 too bad youll never hit that blind justice because even 500 ms lights can poke you out of it so your only chance is an oos knockdown from a parry or a light parry both decently hard to get
Why the hell do you get stamina taken away when he carries you like....the fact that his stunning thing is buffed I think they should reduce the amount of stamina gets taken away. Either that or do the same when lawbringer does his pointy push thing
15 damage attack average that could already be rolled from or walked away from and is punished for twice as much, just being able to react so late made delaying almost useless on most the delay bash heroes. You people forget there’s bad bashes in the game too and you probably use them. But there isn’t offense that is “too good” either so I couldn’t ever see a reason to keep them nerfed. Especially because having the same reaction window as blocking for something that has typically less tracking and aoe an deals blunt damage was kinda stupid. This should *help* bashes function more like opening jabs in other fighting games. But out of lock stamina regen and evasion still is really really easy to utilize and can easily shift your view of conq to oppressive bash hero to what he actually is, option select man.

About two weekends ago I played against a shaman in Dominion that was salty I killed them with a side light as lawbringer while they were back-stancing. (Which was a total read on my part, the guy loved to spam that crap) He said "that was bullsh***" and I said "Well I mean, lawbro is supposed to have some range at the end of the day" to which he replied "Oh yeah lawbringer's supposed to have everything cuz MUH POLE AXE". Keep in mind that this guy would always go for bleeds in fights and proceed to leap into bite after bite until it landed. Anyway, this encounter was the first time my eyes were opened to a select group of people that think lawbringer has everything now. Now whether that is or isn't the case is up for you to decide, but as a lb main I can tell you that I'm smiling right now thinking of that salty shaman getting big mad about lawbro's stamina changes.
Raided changes are...weird... Look, okay, nerf to dodge gb is fine after his buff. I was bit sad as raided main, but that was completly justified. But THIS stamina change is just...what? Why?
We waited a long while for these changes and they still somehow messed up raider and lawbringer animations. Can't wait for feint changes that will somehow ruin the guard change.
I feel like they need to tune numbers down? Like overall damage for everyone's light attacks and stamina drain. Make the slowest light attack a light finisher with 600 frames, but the chains cant be doing enough damage to where it makes throwing a heavy into the combo or from neutral not deemed "efficient" or a "safe." Lights should be jabs, attacks that catch your opponent lackin but wont knock them out unless they take a full 15 seconds of unanswered hits. Heavies should be your slugs and finishers the haymakers. Give me some incentive to hit these finishers. I REALLY DIG that LB does stamina damage on the top heavy. BUT 80 stamina drain? When his damn bash drains too??? Cmon Ubi
Elijah Wilson Yes, on regular bashes and wall splats I think it could be fair. Of course there are exceptions: Centurion’s punches after gb can not deal 30 damage each, maybe 10 per punch. Maybe Raider’s knee should not drain stamina, should only stun, or deal 10 stamina damage. If stampede charge dealt 30 stam damage, wall splat dealt 50, and 10 from the stun knee it would be an 80 clean stamina damage, counting in stunning tap Raider would be still dangerous but not THAT MUCH.
lol i like dragons So, to start, calm your fucking self down and don’t write being a total dick head. Instead of insulting explain: why the fuck my suggestion shall not have sense? Seriously, numbers for the stamina damage right now are a bit fucked up, and they need a serious nerf. It’s outstanding that Valk’s third shield light deals 80 fucking stamina drain, since that’s an attack that can wall splat you. 50 on Lawbringer’s top heavy is too much, but to me could be fairer: imagine getting wall splatted and getting a top heavy by lawdaddy, that’s a ton of stamina gone. 60 stamina drain on a gb throw by Warlord, my main, is still a lot, considering he can headbutt you right after that wall splat instead of going for the standard side heavy. Raider’s stampede charge deals 44 stamina drain, added the guaranteed stunning tap deals another 30. If every move or attack that deals stamina damage dealt something like 30 with the exemptions of the Centurion’s light after gb and the Raider’s knee, stampede charge stunning tap combo would deal 60 damage total (30+30), and if wall splat dealt something like 40, the stunning tap comboed would still result in a 70. Yeah probably 50 for a wall splat could be too much, maybe if that was 40 or 30 for every hero it could still be not so fair for the Raider. Maybe they should give us some kind of “immunity”, doing that if some hero wall splats you, can’t be dealt to you additional stamina drain for the three seconds right after the wall splat?
lol i like dragons You know, probably a solid solution would just be: Any regular attack that shall drain stamina (centurion regular and charged punch, kick, Valk’s shield bash, others bashes and shoves and stunning tap, lawbro top heavies) should drain 30 or 20 , wall splats should drain 40 or 30 an the fucking stampede charge and crushing charge (Warlord) probably should NOT drain stamina, but just be what it is: a longer throw, and let that stamina being drained by wall splats, bashes, parries and parry counters. Would buffing stamina regen a solution?
Yesterday I was playing duels against a Rep 0 Level 7 Black Prior and of course all he used was shield bash, and ye sure a BP spamming shield bash is annoying, but whenever someone literally ONLY uses shield bash and NOTHING ELSE it’s easy to predict and dodge, that was what I thought until after Update 2.10 and either my game was lagging rly hard (Which I doubt since it was around my normal latency which is like 30-50) But I LITERALLY could not dodge the BP’s shield bash for the life of me. I was playing Warden and I swear of my life I was pressing dodge at the right time, but his shield bash just kept on hitting me. I would say he probably bashed me almost 25 times in the whole match, and I probably dodged his 5 bash times, and I was definitely not pressing dodge to late, so idk wtf Ubisoft did, but I’m starting to think they may have literally just made BP broken, and after watching this video it’s really starting to look like For Honors dev team is making some big fuck ups ever since the Raider rework
how can people say raider didn't get nerfed? besides stunning tabs damage reduction he lost one of his signature moves the "dodge gb". but people still be like "oh no can't deal with a 400ms attack which just can come from one direction and can't be done without a dodge, heavy or zone before" while there are other heros out there who can do 400ms from any direction just like that. some people get seriously mad cuz they can't deal with new stuff instantaneously.
I was feeling that bash buff, I knew I was getting caught by more BP bashes. And does anyone else actually feel like you're going OOS more often now? I know they didn't say they changed normal stamina but honestly my stamina is completely disappearing since the patch in every fight. Maybe paranoia, maybe it's legit. I play LB, and yes I know his stamina was always trash. But it really feels like I have one or two hits blocked and I'm OOS. Every single time I get parried I seem to go OOS too, which is an affect of his stamina consumption but it feels more exaggerated now. So I think what I'm trying to say is. I feel like the stamina you lose when you're parried or if your attack is blocked has been increased.
you can check for yourself. Hit someone in training mode and look at that stamina value. Now if someone blocks that attack it's a 2.5 multiplier. And if someone parries it, it's a multiplier of 7.
@@placeholder2617 you should be happy that most of them are bad because facing a good raider is alot worse than a good conq or bp since raider's skill ceiling is wayyy higher
I personally find set stamina damage to be far better than putting someone's stamina at a set amount, period. I'm glad the raider changes were put in place as far as stamina goes, as being out of stamina for failing a parry after being stunning tapped isn't crazy until you remember how dodge into stunning tap is a really good dodge attack. It's too much pressure to access from a strong defensive tool. And I personally think 80 stamina damage is reasonable to give valk side light finishers given their current state - and difficulty to access, as well as perform successfully. Frankly I'm not very happy with the state of valk overall but if they stick with her latest rework then she deserves what she got.

The stun should only have 10 or 15 stamina drain this shit it ridiculous. Or make it where top stun drains more stamina from you. Also maybe hitokiri block damage. that shit is fucking stupid, i block all three heavies and it takes 25 of my health
great video once again !!
Isn't the mid-season patch supposed to drop with seasonal event ?
yeah it is not the mid-season
Now everything make sense that’s why I defeat a Valk yesterday
Yeah I thought the s were changed on dodges or something. I played vs a decent Conq player (rep 11-19 with him I think, can't remember) after the patch happened and I for the life of me couldn't dodge any of his neutral bashes anymore. I wasn't able to dodge them much before because I'm bad and I hadn't played in a week or so but I couldn't do it regardless. It was strange but this cleared things up so I'm not mad about it. 😶
im a rep 70 conq and my neutral bash has been dodged multiple times today ;) It is possible
@@divinEKonstanT he didnt say it was impossible he said that the timing is different. Or was it to flex that you have a rep 70 conq?
@@divinEKonstanT Ok I guess I'm just bad, thanks for confirming :)
@@divinEKonstanT weird flex but okie
Paladin Ravis stop being cocky. I'm a rep 5 conq and according to hearthstone, rank 5 is better than 70
Lol of course Valkyrie gets the short end of the stick, my poor girl.
Hey freeze, do you think that static gaurd characters should have there gaurd on back dodges? My dash attacks often dont connect because they have it protecting them on their retreat. I think it should be removed.
The real question is why cant deflect frames also count as s? Why cant it dodge if its a bash and deflect if its an attack?
it counts as a block...
so unblockables would just mow through your deflect frames.
@@fkkfreeze do you know of a way to change this? Maybe a unique dodge for assassin's?
I don't know what's possible for them and what isn't.
I'm just guessing that that's the problem.
Has it been released those patches I mean
So they changed the effects of stunning tap from lowering your stamina but never putting you oos - to taking less stamina but able to put you oos very easily. Very smart ubi
*Sad mortem.... :(*
Also, is it just me, or has the hitbox for Raider's stunning tap been increased?
Hey Freeze, I've noticed the Hitokiri has a tight gb vulnerability window on heavy input. Have you ever come across this?
she has a 400ms GB vulnerability on the heavies.
@@fkkfreeze Ah see lately I've tried on several occasions with different players with a heavy feint into GB however the heavy slips through the gb window.
Thanks for the info mate does anyone know if we r getting a special event this season like vortiger got
Grim Reaper each season gets one
Dominic Brunsmeier thanks just haven’t heard anything about one yet this season thought it might have come with this patch
2 nerfs to warlord and a raider buff on stamina bullying exactly what the game needed
I don't play Warlord, but i feel your pain
I was guard broken out of a BP zone bash mid bash yesterday. Not sure if it was lag or a bug in the game or if that’s supposed to be allowed?
yes, BP's zone has 400ms of GB vulnerability.
Great video, as always.
The stamina changes don’t exactly make sense to me. You’d figure since they want the game to be faster, they’d integrate that ideology into the stamina. I think I understand them a bit, but... it’s still confusing.
All the minions went to art school and now have randomized patterns on their shields
Thresher C88 you can also do the stampede charge and literally turn around someone for a second before grabbing them.
Glads guars mode didn't get fixed? Oh mah gahh
Wow man. This game just got harder. Ty freeze I appriciate ur videos
Hey Ubisoft did a good job reeling people in from their show at E3 last year, wonder what they're gonna do for this one.
Didn’t they also remove/nerf rushing guardbreak
Yes they did remove his rushing gb
Now his flash bangs take you out of stamina? Ig i gotta become a raider main now if i wanna enjoy the game. Its either that or let them walk all over me
3:20 too bad youll never hit that blind justice because even 500 ms lights can poke you out of it so your only chance is an oos knockdown from a parry or a light parry both decently hard to get
for real I don't want to get interrupted by a PK zone
Dont forget Orochi lights, shaolin and LB top lights and berzerker lights
@@bulwark7840 lol so true
Why the hell do you get stamina taken away when he carries you like....the fact that his stunning thing is buffed I think they should reduce the amount of stamina gets taken away. Either that or do the same when lawbringer does his pointy push thing
So why do they hate Warlord so much?
I am finished playing this game 2 years later.....
Another great set of changes for those who play PK, can we already call her abandonware? Might help ease the pain
Meaning indirectly nerfing her? Or buffing her?
@@damidge700 She has a very small stamina pool so any buffs to stamina damage to other characters directly affects her negatively
@@ZOMGerms oh yeah, I play a lot of PK, I just wasnt sure whether you were bei g sarcastic or not with your original comment :)

Austin Stone truly sad
Yup. Im sure its not hard. Just buff his reflex guard ;-;
at least he didn't get nerfed.
Mr. Sister-Fister indirectly he got nerfed.
@@stevene8873 how so?
So the mid-season patch was a raider nerf, except not really.
I wish shugoki grab would drain all stamina...
Shut up, please
Smh, i think they need to split the two damages. Im fine with being able to attack stamina but i think it should be one or the other, not both.
What's up all my Xbox bois
Good what about you
Remember when everyone wanted cent nerfed?
Peperidge farm remembers
Cancer they could bring back the old cent and nobody would care. 99% of the players can dodge any of his bash on reaction
Zacha Riz yup
@@zachariz1490 oh the times we live in
NOOOOO why did they buff bashes ..... it was perfectly balanced after the nerfs... :/
@@yungmalaria ur probably just mad bcs ur facvourite basher got nerfed, ur main is 100% Conqu or the good old BP :D aahhahaha, pls dont get offended from this .....

I don't know what they did but I can now deal with raiders stunning tap much easier than before.
The timing is exactly the same. They did nothing. You just got better
Lawbringers animations changed
Well... off to play kensei now
So basically Valk got a nerf since outside of light spam her only real pressure tool is the shield tackle
And even that is unreliable
@@damidge700 yeah her rework wasn't even the best to begin with they just made her lights more spammable
Keith J even orochi has better light spam than her
@@zachariz1490 wrong
Nova Ferrell yeah, he can actually delay the light from any direction while she has to go top for a 400ms attack, so someone ok at the game will just switch to top guard after any move
What is back-stancing
@@wyvern5890 It's an umbrella term for any evasive ability that is accessed by holding your left joystick down.
Raided changes are...weird...
Look, okay, nerf to dodge gb is fine after his buff. I was bit sad as raided main, but that was completly justified.
But THIS stamina change is just...what? Why?
i wonder where cent stands with these stamina changes. i guess might as well delete him from the game now
@@acid1787 Maybe his gb bash drains 30 30 60 now lol
We waited a long while for these changes and they still somehow messed up raider and lawbringer animations. Can't wait for feint changes that will somehow ruin the guard change.
I feel like they need to tune numbers down? Like overall damage for everyone's light attacks and stamina drain. Make the slowest light attack a light finisher with 600 frames, but the chains cant be doing enough damage to where it makes throwing a heavy into the combo or from neutral not deemed "efficient" or a "safe."
Lights should be jabs, attacks that catch your opponent lackin but wont knock them out unless they take a full 15 seconds of unanswered hits.
Heavies should be your slugs and finishers the haymakers. Give me some incentive to hit these finishers. I REALLY DIG that LB does stamina damage on the top heavy. BUT 80 stamina drain? When his damn bash drains too??? Cmon Ubi
No light attacks should be 600ms. None
Just looking at those repetitive bashes gave me PTSD
To me the maximum limit for an attack to drain stamina should just be 30 for every hero, and wall splatting being 50.
Wolf Lord Hardahat sounds fair
Maybe they should balance all hero's stamina drain to do the same amount?
Elijah Wilson Yes, on regular bashes and wall splats I think it could be fair. Of course there are exceptions: Centurion’s punches after gb can not deal 30 damage each, maybe 10 per punch.
Maybe Raider’s knee should not drain stamina, should only stun, or deal 10 stamina damage. If stampede charge dealt 30 stam damage, wall splat dealt 50, and 10 from the stun knee it would be an 80 clean stamina damage, counting in stunning tap Raider would be still dangerous but not THAT MUCH.
lol i like dragons
So, to start, calm your fucking self down and don’t write being a total dick head.
Instead of insulting explain:
why the fuck my suggestion shall not have sense?
Maybe they should give us some kind of “immunity”, doing that if some hero wall splats you, can’t be dealt to you additional stamina drain for the three seconds right after the wall splat?
lol i like dragons
You know, probably a solid solution would just be:
Any regular attack that shall drain stamina (centurion regular and charged punch, kick, Valk’s shield bash, others bashes and shoves and stunning tap, lawbro top heavies) should drain 30 or 20 , wall splats should drain 40 or 30 an the fucking stampede charge and crushing charge (Warlord) probably should NOT drain stamina, but just be what it is: a longer throw, and let that stamina being drained by wall splats, bashes, parries and parry counters.
I would say he probably bashed me almost 25 times in the whole match, and I probably dodged his 5 bash times, and I was definitely not pressing dodge to late, so idk wtf Ubisoft did, but I’m starting to think they may have literally just made BP broken, and after watching this video it’s really starting to look like For Honors dev team is making some big fuck ups ever since the Raider rework
how can people say raider didn't get nerfed? besides stunning tabs damage reduction he lost one of his signature moves the "dodge gb". but people still be like "oh no can't deal with a 400ms attack which just can come from one direction and can't be done without a dodge, heavy or zone before" while there are other heros out there who can do 400ms from any direction just like that. some people get seriously mad cuz they can't deal with new stuff instantaneously.
wut it wasn't mid-season patch
Ubisoft: The Kings of shooting themselves in the foot.
new reflects changes gimme god tier orochi deflects
@@fkkfreeze Thanks for the info, I will try it out. Man that is a high stamina punish on block for a game that wants offense to stay up. >_>
I quit. Staying in OOS pretty much all the time isn't fun.
only against raider so fret not
@@Glueman_TM and everyone pretty much plays raider because even an idiot/noob can pick him up and do decent
