I might create a spreadsheet of mods about the car since I get asked regularly on every video upload. Like this comment and lmk if there's enough interest. Edit: here is the list of mods. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12wf-OIgjn9Mz10C8Tro-GEry5gMl9bfjj8MmadrkwCs/edit
Oh hey I was there today. Man a sub 2 minute lap in today's conditions!? That's impressive. I was in group C I was finally able to get on it on session 5 and then it downpoured hard
Will this be your first ever track day? I’d say changing the brake fluid to a high temp one and some track pads. Also make sure there’s oil in the engine. You are going to have a good time! The car is mostly solid. Had a valve cover weeping oil and a corner of timing cover leaking. Other than that, if you track your car regular, be prepared to go through pads and rotors.
Is this stock? If not, what are the mods? I was told that the internals on the new Si are weak and can't handle much of a power boost even just FBO. One threw a rod already
The drivetrain is completely stock plus an intake air filter. Engine has a Hondata tune on it. I did see Ossik's Si threw a rod. He's the reason I didn't throw any mods on the drivetrain.
@@bkhavityoway23 nothing major in my one year of ownership. The valve cover leaked and left lower corner of timing cover leaked. Clutch holds up fine. Slave cylinder could use a bleed as it starts to stick a little bit at cold temp. The stock brakes really sucks and I’ve been fighting brake overheating issues.
This vehicle would be a hundred times more practical as a hatchback with virtually zero performance loss. Why does North America prefer sedans/saloons to hatchbacks?
@@ValkenDnB They do make one and it's available in the UK, but not the USA. Because in the USA they want to sell more SUVs so they cripple cars as much as possible.

Indeed not the best weather today. 😅 I was putting gas in my car half way when the rain really came down. Called the day off.
I suggest your right hand 45 degree to the shift knob while you shift to the 5th. It might quicker.
谢谢!我的五档入档速度比其他档慢很多。以前从没想过手法提升速度这件事。下次我会试试!
@@dilonkao 嗯嗯,你可以试试手稍微斜一点点往前推,这样4换5更快
Planning on taking mine to the track once the weather warms up, anything u would suggest doing to the car/any issues so far?

@@dilonkao Do you think the car would be reliable stock? Do you know of any issues Honda has with the 1.5T ?

Go tell Honda to make a hatchback si and we’ll buy it. We’ve been asking for one since the previous generation yet here we are.

@@a_single_white_female ah well there you go. We don’t even have the Civic Hybrid that EU has been having for a couple years now.
