If you purchase a Canadian Honda/Acura in the US, you will face many potential problems when having to service the car at a dealership. Examples include mechanical/engine warranties and recalls. Be prepared to drive back into Canada to get those fixed at their Honda/Acura dealership.
I live in Oregon. Is it possible to buy one and bring it down here? What legal steps do I need to do for that. Also, is there a way to get around the unit conversions?

thankfully It is illegal to mark up new vehicles in Canada! but doesn't stop dealerships from 'selling the car' and then after 100km they sell it with markup.
Markup is 100% legal in Canada. Canadian dealers are actually more shady than USA ones as they don’t want the bad publicity so they do what you suggest. However some do still do actual “market price”
This is the dream Si 🙏 obviously the choice to not include all this stuff has something to do with the integra existing for sure. I ended up getting the integra because of the Si markups and lack of features 💯
It probably has to do with the US market and safety regulations. Some these “extra features” might be standard in Canada, since their temperatures are vastly differently from the majority of the US. So the added heated options, is probably just a needed option to actually secure the necessary demographic they’re targeting. Bet most people in Canada won’t be a car without heated seats/steering wheel because most of the country gets well into the negatives certain times of the year.
That's crazy how it has all those features but a higher price in the US and less features. But I guess that's how it is when it's in a different country lol
Dealer markups are illegal in Canada, so MSRP is standard. For some reason, Honda wants us to buy the SI's up here and have Americans buy the Integra - they are so close spec-wise here, that it comes down to whether you think the styling, adaptive dampers and better stereo is worth $8-10,000 more for the Acura... I hesitated, then went straight for the SI. I just wish it had leather seats... but I guess I can't complain for all the extras, at that price! :)
This is exactly why I’m also going for a WRX after shopping a Civic. Michigan winters weren’t much of a problem for me with winter tires, but now they stand no chance.
