Just ran the Ridge today on a motorcycle. Not even close to this time. Best was 2:12. Btw, you have a rev matcher on the GT4? Your downshifts are incredible.
Thanks - yes auto match rev on this car wish I could take credit for those - were you running the chicane? I thought this was common with bikes and would definitely delay lap times
No we didn’t run the chicane. I’m new to track riding though so my times are very novice. Not sure what the pros would do around that track on a bike. Sweet driving man!
1:44 is absolutely mind blowing. I managed a 1:48 in my 2018 GT3 so far, it's amazing how much speed you continue to carry through some of these turns, particularly through turn 10 and the 2,3,4 complex. I'm taking notes
Incredible. 1.3g through pretty much every corner, and up to 1.7g in the cambered/sloping corners. And the lap result shows for it! This is a fantastic demonstration of on-the-limit motoring.
265/35 throws off factory rake since its taller, traction control had issues for me, and tires end up being fairly pinched. With MCS and springs I don't have any understeer issues. Actually I have rear bar disconnected and full stiff up front, I find I get the most traction that way.
@@shengshi3128 no - I have camber plates and other bits though. I remember on my 981 before I had camber plates I had some fit issues and needed to roll.
Thanks! I really like your car and driving as well, I wonder if you would like to post some of your laps to LapMeta.com ...new thing I am working on still in beta.
Nice driving, sub 50’s before or after pavement is impressive. I have a 21 PDK, MCS and Dundon headers........ did you ever track car prior to those mods ?
Thanks! Yes I did track the car before MCS / Headers ... the MCS just makes it a bit easier to drive quickly without as much drama. Headers are fun definitely some more power. Things should get quicker once I can get more grip in the rear.
@@philh6576 I autox also and found rear and issue with power down. 3R’s are about the best tire when at Temperature unless you go all in with a slick. Did you stay on 20’s or go to 19’s? I’m trying a 265/305 19 set up. We really are limited to rim sizes and tires on the 4.
@@waylongoebel I am on 19's ... would be interested to see how well 265/305 fits I am at 245/285 on the sc3r... I did 265/295 on re71r and that fit pretty good. Waiting for new Apex wheels to come in they at 11 in back vs. 10.5 I have now then may try 305. Hey you should upload your car and some laps to lapmeta.com ... new site I am working on let me know what you think!
@@philh6576 RE’s are good for 60 second runs. They not good for track at all. The new Falken 660 has been good so far. They make our sizes. I was going to do Apex but I was really concerned about the front fitment. It’s gonna be close. I’m only at -2.5 up front. Make sure you are -3+ especially with a 265 tire. I will check out that website. I will be up there ( Ridge ) 3rd weekend of May. Cheers!

Hey Phil, I noticed on your website that you using 245 3R for the front instead of 265, may I ask why? Many thanks!

Damn that is flying for an M6 GT4, which tires were you on?

@@philh6576 yea definitely. I don't have any telem yet, though. Just picked up an AIM DL and still need to order a harness for it.
Hey guys the car seems to work very well … nice sound and more power ? Except the dundon headers is she stock ? What is MCA ?
Yep only Dundon headers. MCS = Motional Control Suspension, 2 way adjustable coilovers
Nice lap
Wow - cars go much slower (~20mph) on the straights but brake MUCH deeper with more corner speed than motorcycles doing about the same lap time.
Nice driving & time! May I ask what camera/mic you are using?
Thanks! Aim Solo 2 and SmartyCam 2.1
