I tried 15 or more different ways to tie up my Serena & Lilly hanging rattan chair chair and landed on this as the best solution. Many of the basic knots would squeak and the chairs would twist. This solution uses a basic metal loop on a hinge, the rope tucks under itself leaving a nice clean look thats easily adjustable.
My kids can swing around and there is no noise and the chair always returns to its original position!
