  • Corded two of my takeoff Michelin 27-65 tires in 3 sessions, but I wanted at least a couple clean laps before I called it a day, since I had been stuck in traffic for those sessions :-P So, in the 4th session I managed a 43.9 and 44.06 (cutoff short on the second lap because I'm too cheap to pay for racerender). I'll upload the rest of the session without data...
The tires are way too skinny for this car (270mm width) and/or need more camber and/or stiffer suspension and/or bleh I'm getting a lighter car.

I was watching your G meter on that first lap, and it looks really smooth and appropriate... and a little bit over the top going into turn 14 🤣 Turn one speed was pretty impressive too 💪

Lol you don’t think peak g’s are on a downhill slow turn?! haha maybe the rumbles confused it.

@@TC_OFF actually I think those G's are real. That same spot typically bottoms out my front bumper, and not from hitting the wavies, but right in the middle in the pavement.

What is that whining sound as the revs increase? I hear that on Porsche race cars too.

Aluminum differential mount bushings. I originally had polyurethane, which was quieter, but they degraded due to poor design by powerflex (the steel sleeve outer diameter was too small, and it tore through the polyurethane bushing).

Awesome work, you know I am watching those lines closely. What tires were you on?
    Porsche time? LOL

Some Michelin takeoff slicks. If I can find a decent set of Pirelli DH takeoffs or similar it should be in the lower 43’s. I would definitely not recommend these tires for our car, at least not in that small size.
Well kinda porsche time…does a 986 count really? I’d like to do a 911 3.6 swap in it at some point. Then it will smash the M3, and probably not smash tires and brakes as hard.
