Fantastic driving. All those cars he was hanging with are paddle shift. This guy is doing some real driving. Would love to see a mod list but clearly driver mod is fully engaged
+Xav_ S2000 Ha,that would be nice but the budget won't stretch that far sadly. I have an R32 GTR,goes well but I doubt it would match your S2000 without a pad and fluid upgrade. You both have great cars. Keep uploading vids, they are great to watch. Cheers
This was bad ass. Nice driving. I have a Sebring silver s2 and love driving that car. Just like seeing what this car does vs the big boys. To think its only a 4 banger and can do all that. Damn well built Honda car
Super driving! I've got an 07' with KW SC which I installed this summer. It's putting down 426WHP and 277WTQ which is just amazing for a 4 cyl designed 15 years ago. Such a fun car to drive and own. These SC's mesh so well with the S2k's motor. Mine delivers power so linear and predictably.
Most of the details are listed here: sectoronedesign.wordpress.com/2015/05/22/2014-39-sector-one-design-s2000/ Suspension is custom Ohlins coilovers with 800 lb/in springs, Eibach front ARB, no rear ARB, Forgestar 17x10's with Hoosier 245/40/17 A7's.
So sick, Jared, I love watching your videos. Your S2K differs from many in that you don't automatically fall behind at each straightway and then catch back up at the curves. Nope, just catching up fast or faster (with curves). I'm going to be up at the Ridge with my AP1 this May 26th - are you going to be there?
Incredible driving.. how much roughly have you spent on this car and the setup? it pains me to think you are keeping up with cars waaay more expensive than you =)
I don't have a comprehensive build thread. Lots of posts scattered around on S2ki. This thread has most of the info on the engine build: www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/762294-custom-sector-one-design-pro-autosports-sc-build/
+Drew's XR Requirements are drivers license, helmet, and a car that won't spill fluids on the track. The video is from a Turn2 event (www.turn2lapping.com/) which offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced run groups. Instructors are typically offered for beginners. Cost for a lapping day ranges from $125 to $350 depending on track, group, day, etc. Most tracks have a calendar of events that show the lapping days and which group is hosting them. Good luck.
Hey Jared, completely amazing footage. So consistent. What boggles my mind was the lack of need to correct! I'd like to pick your brain about 2 things. The airdam that you use to go up the front wheel wells... where do they make those??? Also your mechanical grip was phenomenal. Do you mind divulging your tires and size you used for this day? Thanks!
+Austin Nwaenyi There are a fair amount of corrections going on but they are quick and very subtle to prevent big corrections that kill time and tires. The front wheel covers/airdams/spats/wickerbills/gurney flaps... whatever they are called are custom made using a sign making material that has aluminum skins and a solid plastic core. Very easy to work with and can be formed to hold curves to match the fender. Tires used were worn out Hoosier A7's in 245/40-17 all around. Really fast tires but grip falls off significantly after a just a handful of heat cycles. These laps were ~4 seconds slower compared to my fastest laps (1:46) at this track using fresh Hoosier A7's.
What's your suspension setup? I'm in the midst of building out my AP1 and haven't committed one way or another with my suspension choices. I have PSS9s from way way back, larger front sway and anti bumpsteer. Currently it feels like there's a sudden onset of oversteer and car roll after a certain point. I'd appreciate any insight to how you have your car setup - It looks quite neutral at least from the video.
+popngear I'm running custom Ohlins dampers (same spring rate front and rear), Eibach front bar, no rear bar. Factory geometry (no anti-bumpsteer correction). Alignment is really critical and depends on tires but I run very neutral toe front and rear - generally 1mm out in front and 1mm in in the rear. I found that an X-Brace also really helps with steering feel and corrections. All the suspension setup details are on the blog: sectoronedesign.wordpress.com/
Brand new in canada almost 50k. Factor in it's a convertible. Now, hard top, brake upgrade, SC, ecu, injectors, suspension cause the factory setup was not so good especially AP1, wheels and tires with quality materials, now your talking 75k car. I find almost every car for its class is made to the same potential it's just some come finished and some you have to finish it yourself
A J your comment has nothing to do with this. Nobody cares what the car cost new since this is not longer a new car and isn’t even in production. This mans comment is valid. It’s a 15-20 k max car with 10 k in mods
XR4turbo Custom Supercharger system by Sector One Design that uses a Rotrex C30-94. Engine is internally stock AP1 cylinder head and AP2 (2.2 liter) short block.
+Tou Wan Moua When this video was taken, car was making 344 at the wheels on a dynojet. Full interior minus carpet and using race seats and 6-pt harnesses plus roll bar.
Filmed almost 5 years ago so I'm not 100% sure but I think it was a GoPro Hero4, spot metering on, low light off, medium field of view, 30 fps, 1080p, with a lapel mic under the dash.
Fantastic driving. All those cars he was hanging with are paddle shift. This guy is doing some real driving. Would love to see a mod list but clearly driver mod is fully engaged
You finally convinced me to switch to a supercharged engine !
+Xav_ S2000 Déjà qu'elle était "énervée ta "S" avec une suralimentation ça risque de faire quelques surpris hehe !
Yessss do it Xav!
Nice driving Jared! Good to see you back out there
I'm liking the S2000 more and more. Xav_s2000 has skill like yours but no supercharger. He also monsters more powerful cars. Great vid. Thank you
+V8kila Ahah Buy one !

Thanks! Nice power numbers - must be a rocket. The S2000 with extra power is such a great combination.
I know it’s supercharged but being in vtec still made a huge difference wow
OMG...Great driving bud, so much win! Cannot wait to get back to the track this year, haven't tried the new layout yet. haha
This guy can drive! And the car is perfectly fast! Soooooooooooo awesome!
Wow, excellent races and really good driver.
perfect throttle operation :D really enjoyed the video :)
both sound and visual effects :D
O:45 is that VTEC I hear?
Still don't know if supercharger or turbo for the ap2 s2000
killer driving but on the safe side
Nice driving fella

You are an awesome driver, great video 👍
I enjoyed watching your video. I wish I could do so well!

Probably not in May but will be at the Ridge several times this summer likely starting in June. Have a great time.

Austin Nwaenyi I gota ap1 also, what do you have to do so it won’t snap oversteer !!!
Great video!
Countless bugs have died on your windshield throughout this video 😂
Seri varex takılması lazım
nice driving
that intake sound tho.. ooff.. mugen intake?
+daZzleV
Custom intake comprised of K&N filter mounted to short aluminum inlet pipe to Rotrex supercharger.

Great car ☺
15k car = s2000 and 10k in mods keeping up with the guy that paid 220k for a car!.. NOT BAD AT ALL

+JaredFloyd What kind of power are you putting down with this setup? And, I'm taking it that it's still fully interiored?
Awesome driving!!!

JaredFloyd what the pros and cons of doing a ap1 head with ap2 block
Stupenda!!!! Tnx for this video! Bye
One word...........SWEET.......S2K
How much hp is this and is this a ap1 or ap2!!!
AP1 with 325-340 whp depending on dyno used
nice
nice vid...
how much are you boosting
+Toua Xiong
About 12 psi
nice
What supercharger are you running?
+CaliPatriot88
The compressor is a Rotrex C30-94. The kit is custom made by Sector One Design and locates SC in the factory AC compressor location.
what camera is it and what settings?
