The financials of a RUclips channel like this aren't great in the long term. I'm sure they made decent money in the first few years but RUclips's algorithm really prioritizes new content creators and certain kinds of content (i.e. clickbait and stupid fucking faces on the thumbnails)
I've always wondered why Chris tries to make it work doing other things for other people when hundreds of influencers try to do the Chris Harris thing.
Man, how can you watch Francis’ onboard and not smile? The sheer joy of someone having such an eye opening automotive experience is something to be celebrated.
I feel like especially in Francis's video in the Merc you can see that Chris for a moment sees pure infectious joy and reminds himself what that was like before Top Gear made him all grumpy and cynical (don't get me wrong, I love the guy regardless).
Chris, NEVER stop making these videos. They are absolutely fantastic. Chris is one of the best at explaining what a car is like to drive while on camera. It's not easy, and Chris does it so well while also being entertaining. Loved the bit at the end in the Jazz.
How refreshing for a car reviewer to just get in it and rag it on a circuit and give us an honest review. No BS and No awful music. Your passengers face said it all .
To be a passenger with Chris Harris while power sliding a rare and one of thee greatest Porsche’s, is a phenomenal experience for every car enthusiast ❤️🇿🇦
"Getting it on the nose and then heal and toeing through the gears"- there is so much enjoyment in doing this in any car. jazz, porshe whatever. highly satisfying. great video.
My God, the moment you see a new "Chris Harris on cars" -A beacon of light in a diminishing society. Fill this top gear , grand tour void with your awesomeness Chris!!
Been a HUGE Chris Harris fan for a long time.. since right back in the Drivers Republic days. THen that time with those American fellas, and finally Chris Harris on Cars. You are just spot on in this format. Unscripted, passionate, funny.. anyone that loves cars will get enjoyment from that :) I know you mentioned on Joe Rogan that you were a little worried about your career and the future etc. Well, i think (at time of writing) 332k views in 2 days is testament to how well regarded you are in the motoring world. There's no one better at this stuff Chris, keep it up :)
I find it funny how in the UK people see it as a dull old people's car while in the US car enthusiasts are using it as a budget trackday/canyon run car that could keep up with many supercars 😂
One of the most entertaining journalists and drivers of them all. Chris, please never change...we will watch every single video that you make like this.
Growing up as a kid watching Chris Harris On Cars videos, I didn’t know how spoiled I was. Nothing better than watching Chris tear it up in a great car. He’s the car review GOAT.
The review is spot on as always but the interesting part for me was when you said “I asked Porsche to sell it to me and they said no !” , all The positive work you do for them and that’s how they treat you 😳😲🤣
I am so glad I clicked on this video. Chris Harris is unequivocally the best at this form of automotive storytelling. As a manual purist and the proud owner of both an ND2 Miata and MK7.5, this was just what i needed. Do yourself a favor and watch until the end. I'll definitely be taking the Miata to work tomorrow. And the long way home. ❤
That's chris at his best. Look at the way he interacts with the train guy that alot of people would be taking the piss out of but chris sees a passionate young lad that loves what he does and good on him. The way the world should be and makes it a better place as far as I am concerned.
Really glad I never unsubbed from the channel and now it's back alive and kicking. Love it! Kudos to Chris and the crew for giving us the best free car content over the years!
I have just witnessed something so special that I've not smiled for quite a while with absolute honesty. Chris and Francis. Forget how cool the ST is and the fact its got a light drivetrain and free revving lightened flywheel, Its the admirable friendship between you both that sticks out. For Christ sake you both need to do some TV work/ road trip somewhere.
Hello Chris, (in case you read these) I met you on holiday in the UK just after the Covid restrictions had been lifted and had a chat with you about how the content we enjoy watching and making the most. It was somewhat surreal for me, I was gushing a lot... I still cringe slightly at the thought of the memory. Anyway, I told you how much the interview with Norbert Singer on the 962 meant to me, our love for old Peugeots and Porsches managed to connect us after a bit of a rocky start. These fantastic videos about Porsches, the F40/F50 or the 918/P1/LaFerrari where you're really in your element are an absolute marvel of automotive journalism and I'm happy I got to say to your face how much I enjoy your work. Please keep making these videos
The driving tutorial at the end is pure gold - so funny! His reactions at Chris driving as well!! Chris Harris is just the best most visceral car journalist ever!
Chris is a national treasure. Im so wanting Chris, Neil, Manish and Chris C to do a road trip video. It would be so much fun to watch. They have such great natural chemistry, real mates who love cars and enjoy talking about cars. It would just be epic.
Great as always Chris, made even better by the sync with Francis steam train chase. Hats off, looked like you both had a great day. Made me smile inside, thank you.
CHOC, Harry's Garage, Tyrell's Classic workshop... I'm finding myself needing to wake up earlier and earlier for my upside down Monday morning. Certainly can't go to work before I watch all the motoring goodness.
Wether you've finally realized it or not Chris, these types of videos are what we love to watch when we've had a long day of work and just want to kick our feet up and just enjoy cars. Hell, I even pour a glass of whiskey and go down the CHOC rabbit hole. Cheers. Can't wait for the next one.
Absolutely amazing. As other people have said… it’s a long time since I’ve jumped on a new video so quickly! This video simultaneously evoked the feelings of a) you taking me out in an e46 M3 at the 2003 Autocar Sideways Challenge and b) you taking the time to have a photo with my son William 20 years later. There’s a lot of bravado in motoring but for me it’s at its greatest when people are simply having fun. Keep up the good work!
That colour with the chrome window accents and wheels is just gorgeous. Well out of reach for me but reminds me again how much I want a 911 instead of a wagon!
I'm 47yrs old. $73,000 biweekly and I'm retired, this video have inspired me greatly in many ways that I remember my past of how I struggled with many things in life to be where I am today!!!!❤️
Maria Luisa Clare is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through trading with her. Maria L. Clare is the kind of person one needs in his or her life!
Chris and Francis wasn’t something I thought I needed in my petrol head brain but I am definitely here for it. Absolute class from both of them. 911 is also decent 👍🏻
Thank you Chris, for bringing that raw, fun driving feel to us on this beautiful Sunday! Sending my love to those around the world from Los Angeles! WooooOooOooOooo!!!
Driver engagement does the most to make a car great. Also, Francis' reaction to the car is lovely. I love his enthusiasm both here and in his own posts.
I love how Francis' joy for trains and their engineering translates across to cars. Just appreciating the many mechanisms at play and their tolerances being tested. Great video, Chris at his finest.
This is a prime example of how the internal combustion car stirs emotions. Looking at the joy and excitement on this young lads face made my day. Then there are people who simply do not get it. Long live the soul stirring engagement of good internal combustion car.
The Colab we didn't know we needed, but this was brilliant! Having an ordinary person in the passenger seat really shows how remarkable Chris's driving and the porsche are.
Chris, I actually think you are getting even better at this. There is an assurity and composure to your dialogue that is similar to the final final scenes of the Matrix when he just just stops the bullets. Well done.
Can we all agree that Chris is the best at car reviews on the planet, not even a conversation
There is no conversation to be had , so I won’t be commenting on this post.
I can argue and say there’s more out there but you may not be familiar with them because they are Japanese or other nationalities.
Clarkson is way above him 🤦🏻♂️,deluded to think differently
Not better, and a different point of view, but Harry Metcalfe is also bloody good
@@natsiel name them, always intrested to see what other people are doing
You should’ve never moved away from this format, Chris. This is what we die hard fans know and love you for. Stay in the fight.
Probably what best for him, mostly likely has more stuff going on than reviewing cars

I bet BBC money was far better than RUclips at the time…
Man, how can you watch Francis’ onboard and not smile? The sheer joy of someone having such an eye opening automotive experience is something to be celebrated.
You need to see him and Chris chase the steam locomotive to see real joy on two men's faces!!
I'm so glad Chris is back with this format. Chris, never underestimate how much pure, unbridled joy these videos bring!
The video with Francis and the bits at the end of this were just so wholesome. Really needed that today
DVD extras. 🤣

it's like the post credits scene in your favorite show LOL
What an absolute fantastic video
Amazing!
Possibly the best ever passenger in a car vid. Another absolute banger of a film Chris. Thank you, you are the GOAT.
Thats how you sell a car! Good advertisement ;)
Tho that is an authentic reaction tho!
Set a lovely young man! His face was all joy and amazement
Love Francis - so enthusiastic about everything - Chris you’re a star for taking him round
I feel like especially in Francis's video in the Merc you can see that Chris for a moment sees pure infectious joy and reminds himself what that was like before Top Gear made him all grumpy and cynical (don't get me wrong, I love the guy regardless).
The bit with Francis was just pure joy. Lad had a smile on his face the whole time, as did we all

Amen
No Music, just car noise and human emotion! No fancy edit! So refreshing to see these days!
Couldn't agree more
having Francis Bourgeois, the joy of that experience is contagious. Amazing.
I was already running late, now I'm running 19:04 extra late.
🤣👍
How refreshing for a car reviewer to just get in it and rag it on a circuit and give us an honest review. No BS and No awful music. Your passengers face said it all .
Nothing like finding a jazz mag in a bush as a teen, turning the pages with a stick…. Different times..
Highly enjoyable video, cheers!
Chris my dear Chris! Never stop driving like you do!
That wholesome reaction from Francis taking it all in. Francis you lucky bastard
Done well for a fake character
Lucky *barstool
To be a passenger with Chris Harris while power sliding a rare and one of thee greatest Porsche’s, is a phenomenal experience for every car enthusiast ❤️🇿🇦
So much better than Top Gear. Such an injustice that they stole you and Neil for so many years. CHOC is the goat of the automotive journalism.
This^ plus they got him bitter now
I can’t explain here how happy I am to watch these videos again, amazing! Keep it coming!!
And the collaboration with Francois.. 🥰👌🏽

It's callbacks like this that make HarrisMonkey an automotive journalist ICON!

The positive work you do for them and that’s how they treat you 😳😲🤣
Wonder why 🤔
Cause they sold them all two years ago .

Chris can take an RC sideways and smoke the tires!!! The best auto journalist...PERIOD.

Chris Harris - “can I have one?”
Porsche - “are you going to flip it like your last one?”
Chris Harris - “no?”

Mr. Harris. Thank you for everything. this is culture, you are our culture. Have been since my first CHOC video
I've watched the section back a few times now, if anyone else is having trouble at 8:39 I'm pretty sure he's saying "four litre RS".

This is the bromance I never expected, you two work so well together
"My turn now" this did give me ton amount of goose pumps the way he know that no one could review a car better than him
Anglesey might be one of the most beautiful tracks in the world. What a view. What a car. Great content.
