I've lived in Seoul for 12 years and have never known this city had food tours! My friend Mike runs the best gastronomic and cultural tour I've ever been on! Would you like to join this tour?!
Wow, loved the insight of the food tour. I never know what to eat and why they eat what they eat. Especially learning historical background and cultural insight that is amazing.
I definitely learned a lot of the tour, which is the best part, I think. There were ao many things I didn't know. When I travel to other countries, I'll look for more food tours as it is the best way to learn about culture and history while filling me stomach at the same time lol
It was a pleasure taking you around Francois! I'm glad you got to learn a few new things even though you've lived here for some time. Keep up the good content! 👍🏻
Francois, have you done a Temple Stay at this temple? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baegyangsa The nun/chef there is renown for her vegan cooking. She's been featured on a Netflix episode of Chef's Table. The food she prepares is supposed to be stunning. I've wanted someone I know to try it. It's on my bucket list.
@francoismarc3 I assume you could read korean books so I recommend it. the book explores the formation of Korean identity through an in-depth analysis of geography, history, and social dynamics, offering a holistic view of the factors that shaped modern Korean society. It deepened my understanding of Korean culture and revealed what I had overlooked until I turned 40 as a Korean🙂

I haven't read this before. Could you let me know what it is about?
