I've played guitar for over 15 years, worked countless hours at improving, and can say I'm pretty good by most people's standards. However, watching videos like this makes me humbly realize that after those 15+ years and all that practice I'm only scratching the surface of proficiency. Truly amazing talent.
Give this song a try! Not that hard tbh. Just like anything else 15 years of practicing this technique and I’m sure you could be just as good! I’ve been playing for about 7-8 years and learned the first 1.5 minutes.
@@mh-ks9wm hey, thanks for the encouragement! I just may give it a go. I've been wanting to continue to develop percussive voicings on the guitar. Wishing you well in your musical learnings!
Outstanding. One of my favorite classical numbers and done with style and originality. Hammering on that much requires a level of dedication far beyond merely playing.
Brilliant and and over-the-top creative! What a blessing to hear and see this. A Hendrix, or a Clapton, or a Kottke, or yes, even a Segoiva -- any great guitarist would recognize the genius of this performance. We are not worthy!
This is amazing! I've always wanted to walk down the aisle to Canon in D but thought it was too formal for my fiance and our style of wedding, but this is perfect! I almost cried when it came up on Pandora just now.
I only found this song on an Acoustic Concentration playlist and I don't understand it's placing. It's too mega for background noise. I can't focus on anything but the song when it comes on. Amazing. Love the name too! Never noticed. Trace Bundy! #amazing Feel like a champ afterwards, maybe that's why it's there. Fuck it, I'm calling it a night on this essay.
you're right about the song being inconvenient lol I was trying to read a book called the kite runner and everytime that song came on I couldn't concentrate haha love the song though
Got to see Trace Bundy preform in Raleigh... I was blown away by his amazing and pure sound. With all his skill and talent he was very humble and gracious...
Saw him in concert a few months ago. You have to see trace live to really appreciate his talent and his way to make you feel like your sitting in his living room. Super nice guy.
I got to know about Pachelbels Canon in school during music. I found Trace Bundy here and its absolute fantastic. I always listen to it to relax after a hard day. My children must play like this later xDD
2007 üni. Son sınıfta izlemiştim bu videoyu. Yıllar sonra yine burdayım. Hayat ne hızlı geçiyor. Neler yaşandı, neler bitti... Gözümün önünden geçti şimdi
Trace Bundy you freak'n roll the rock from the tomb my brother! Long live Jesus!!! and God Bless you in this age and the one to come, Amen amen and Amen!!!
WOOOOOOOOOW! Talk about absolute INSANE finger strength! There is no possible way that i could do that. I would be so tired about 15 seconds into it! Great Job!
NEVER, in my ENTIRE life have I ever HEARD or SEEN someone play a guitar how you do! NEVER! An amazing accomplishment! THANK YOU so very much for posting your video! AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! Dang!
This is so damn good and fine, I am just blown away. I wish the late Michael Hedges could hear this - he would so *get* what Trace is doing here with his percussive approach. Thanks for a truly great video post. I am now going to see where I can buy some Trace Bundy!
My 16 month old daughter loves this, watches it multiple times around bedtime. My wife swears one day she is going to just pick up my guitar and go all Trace Bundy on it. We will see...

Outstanding. One of my favorite classical numbers and done with style and originality. Hammering on that much requires a level of dedication far beyond merely playing.

ชอบเก่งมาก
I agree.Music is about expressing yourself and this guy takes playing to another level.best guitar work I`ve ever seen, including all the greats too
2018? :D
Saw him in concert a few months ago. You have to see trace live to really appreciate his talent and his way to make you feel like your sitting in his living room. Super nice guy.
but....How? there's no plucking? HOW?
+Omnia Incendent It's called finger-tapping and harmonics. :)
+Omnia Incendent It's called hammering. You hit the string enough in a way much like a piano
+Christian Simpson Music its call tapping noob
Once you strengthen your fingers and learn to do hammer-ons and pull-offs there's almost no need for strumming
imperchaos Depends on the song lol
That is so incredibile damned good! I've listened to that a lot of dozen times and it still makes me goosebumps!
I got to know about Pachelbels Canon in school during music. I found Trace Bundy here and its absolute fantastic. I always listen to it to relax after a hard day. My children must play like this later xDD
Expect the best from Trace Bundy, probably the most talented and humble person I've ever almost met.
Simply amazing. A talent out of this world!
