Really enjoyed hearing this in Spokane the other day!! Thank you Trace for coming to our town and making a snow day a great day!! Looking forward to the next time.....
The best thing about this is that his is playing every part of this song, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, percussions and even the vocal part is played on the guitar. Absolutely amazing!!!
I watch this over and over .. and like the audience I start clapping in rhythm .. can't even tell I'm doing it or when I start .. guess if I smoked I'd be waving my lighter too. My way of saying that Trace is absolutely amazing.
I can already play really well, most of his songs, and andy mckee and stuff, but this guy is what i want to be in the music world...Sometimes its discouraging, knowing how many ppl are out there trying to do the same thing as you, but you just have to keep your head down and do what you love to do. Trace Bundy is my hero, I hope I can be like him someday
Hey man, you can actually get 28 seconds of loop time with the DL-4. Here is the trick: just click the far right button ("Tap Tempo - 1/2 Speed" button). A red light will come on. Now the pedal is in "Half Speed Mode" and you can get 28 seconds of looping. That's how I play Sweet Child O Mine, Urban Challenge, and my other longer looping songs. Hope that helps! - Trace
Im addicted to this :) for those who wonders whether Slash or Trace kicks more ass: this is music, not competition. Both Slash and Trace make great music and we just should appreciate them and listen.
Great performance indeed.. I like how he utilized sound effects to back up his melodies.. how I wish to see him finish the piece from end to end! it could be a masterpiece just like the guy who managed to make Bohemian Rhapsody in fingerstyle.
Trace, your songs and playing techniques are intricate and amazing. I loop these videos over and over at work just to listen to them. Hoping some day you make it down to Orlando so I can see one of your concerts in person.
I got here via Feng E and Sungha Jung. Saw you guys playing Billie Jean. And here I go on to more of your song covers .... this one! I will be playing this a lot. *replay replay replay* and also hope to goodness your on Apple Music or somewhere I can put this in my car.
Trace Bundy awesome! accidentally wrote a comment on the wrong profile - not meant for this profile. Great sound. Great guy, True passion for music, nice to see
Saw your lessons on Jam Play and I wanted to do something different in finger-style so I said hey lets give it a go. Man still getting used to the hammer ons and pull offs LOL N ever knew I was so "Non developed" in that area. To many years of playing an electric with light strings I guess. But am thoroughly enjoying you lessons Trace. Love to watch you play and hope I can come close in the future.
Fantastic! A good friend of mine sent this to me because she knows my taste in music like the back of her hand and this made my day. I've never heard any version of the song quite like this and though I love the original, it's nice to hear something different and unique once in a while. Great job!
ahh yes another great wonder brought to me by random a youtube adventure though music late at night waiting for a pizza. All praise deserved to this guy, great version.
love how you made this song your own man! keep doin what your doin im a huge fan of all your stuff and i just gotta say theres very little music nowadays thats real and you can appreciate like this
@LMTJones1990 He is not playing to backing tracks. He is doing "live looping" - everything is played live and recorded with a foot pedal as he goes. It's actually quite difficult, and Trace does a excellent job with it.
@GypsysRoad Yeah, and there's others who also plays it without loops (at least live), like Slash for example. But Igor doesn't have as many different parts as Trace has here and I guess that's the point - to get a wider sound picture than you would get from playing a "regular" fingerstyle arrangement!
@djaism He plays all of it. there are these neat things called loop pedals that will record you and play it back. Multiple pedals + Multiple lines of melody= this video. Really it takes a lot of fore-thought and practice to line up your loops. Really impressive from any point of view.
@MikaShelley99 Zack Kim was also excellent at looping. Unfortunately, he took down his channel. But some fans uploaded some of his videos. Search Zack Kim robot dance. Amazing loops in that song.
@shimanchunutakara Well, you're right that bands allow each member to collaborate with each other and mix their individual styles into one. But, what's bad about a solo artist? O.o he looped about 5 or 6 different guitar tracks and created a cover of a song that he made his own, using his own style. Using a loop station isn't a weakness if that's what you're saying.
each capo is notched differantly so they're only covering one or two strings at most. gives some interesting alternate tunings and changes on the fly. his shows are awesome
@StygianEagle A recording that he records live... as in, he plays it live, records it and loops it so he can play more and add to the song. Thats why you hear multiple sounds... i know this must be complicated for you, but you'll be ok :) learn about the subject before you speak.
True blessing...we are all born with nothing in our hands and yet some leave having touched the hearts of other with their hands
Like Heart Surgeons for example
1:36 The energy hits the crowd as the melody builds. Well done.
Not every superhero have capes. Some have capos.
you win the 2020 internet award!
I'd even award it for 2021 lol
Underrated comment
i love it lol
lmao, so true! 🤣🤣👍👍
Trace you turned an absolutely amazing song, into one of the most beautiful sounds my ears have ever heard. Thank you.
I've always liked this song but just listening to the acoustic version takes it to a whole different level!! Trace is nothing short of amazing!
Really enjoyed hearing this in Spokane the other day!! Thank you Trace for coming to our town and making a snow day a great day!! Looking forward to the next time.....
That is so freakin' awesome,
I have to listen it over and over and over again....
THIS IS MUSIC!
Chapeau, Mr. Trace Bundy!
I listened to most of his songs a million times it always takes my breath away its beautiful
The best thing about this is that his is playing every part of this song, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, percussions and even the vocal part is played on the guitar. Absolutely amazing!!!
I really like the looping technique. The Breedlove Guitar is awesome!!!!!!
Amazing and beautifully sounding. Best cover of the song I've heard, the man is a genius.
Awesome cover of an amazing song. Mesmerizing chords.
I watch this over and over .. and like the audience I start clapping in rhythm .. can't even tell I'm doing it or when I start .. guess if I smoked I'd be waving my lighter too. My way of saying that Trace is absolutely amazing.

Trace, it was awesome to meet ya and hang out with ya at petit jean mtn in Arkansas. Looking forwards to it later this year!
Superb !! Trace Bundy. Spine tingleing..
Great performance indeed.. I like how he utilized sound effects to back up his melodies.. how I wish to see him finish the piece from end to end! it could be a masterpiece just like the guy who managed to make Bohemian Rhapsody in fingerstyle.
damn! awesome!!
and the harmonics, love them so much!
more power sir... well done...
wow man !!!
awesome !!
that is an artist with something wonderful to give us
Someone needs to give that guy a few more Capos.....he doesn't own enough.
Lol
LOL...I was thinking the same thing......This guy needs more capos!!!
I wish I had one capo
A weighted headstock allegedly helps to extend notes; more sustain... Perhaps this is his reasoning?

What an amazing gift you have. The structure you've built on a lowly acoustic is truly incredible!! #beautifulmusic
Awesome Trace! Got nothing but respect for you. See you in Houston Next month...I GOT MY TICKET!!!
Wow. Wow. I'm improving, but I'm going to be here the rest of my life to ever be even half this good. Great playing Trace and a lovely, lovely sound.

So badass dude!!!!!
Stunning. I'd rarely describe a piece of music as beautiful, but this is. Best version of this I've ever heard.

Im Learning This
(I remember you From The Life conference, i have a very similar style)
I love your playing

@MikaShelley99 Zack Kim was also excellent at looping. Unfortunately, he took down his channel. But some fans uploaded some of his videos. Search Zack Kim robot dance. Amazing loops in that song.
Too good for words...
i love the way the crowd enjoy the song by clapping ..wish i could see trace play live atleast ones..
Still one of the best tracks ever.
hes arrangements are a work of a genius ..
Did it really take the audience 1:37 to figure out what song Trace was playing?
No
indeed
of course they're all 24
They were waiting for the "looping" to be over.
whatttt, the sounds are totally blended together
Muito bom, estou estudando para chegar a este nivel.

@freddykrugar10 at this concert he does a and= original called"five capo". look it up, its pretty good.
Is my favorite song and this simply magnificent *-*
great music......i wish i can play like u....
somebody tell my why i can't stop hitting the replay button?:)
beautifulll!
Congratulations, man! Your version was very good
Magical!
The cap is a rubber sound hole cap which is used when playing live to minimise electric feedback which would ruin the sound of an acoustic guitar.
waw, he is a good player guitar acoustic, amazing...........
@ nighthawk
Its just open tuning, they tune it differently from normal. Some guitarists do that, try Last Christmas by Kotaro Oshio
@engineer9673 you're so right!
wow this guy is good! amazing!!!!!!!!!
@StygianEagle
