I’m sure as most here revisiting however many times this was for the most part the first of 5 that cemented the og title of “RUclips viral” hands down the best and most famous version, the one that got people starting, learning, progressing guitar. For the most part it was looking up to your cool uncle/parent, starting a band with friends, idolizing your fav rock axe man. Long story short so glad to see this is still up and gaining views and the recognition it deserves. It personally got me working on my arpeggios. Would be unreal to see the same lad randomly drop a version nowadays and give the longtime fans a lil encore/curtain call

This guy can not imagine how important this video was in my entire childhood. I watched him totally enchanted, and dreaming of one day being able to play like that, or at least having a guitar that at the age of 12 had not yet. And today I watch it is a pure nostalgia, thanks for this video exist!!
Just wondering if he is aware of the thousand individuals he has inspired to become guitarist through this single video. Feeling so nostalgic seeing this video after ages.
I’ve had a lot of friends come and go from my life since this video was first posted. Some have gone on to have successful careers, fall in love, and start families. Some have passed on to whatever comes next, having moved away from this mortal coil sooner than they deserved. 15 years is such a long time, and in the same breath you could say it’s barely anything at all. Nostalgic milestones like this serve as reminders to reminisce - if we’re privileged enough to do so - and to enjoy the days and friendships both past and present while we light a torch for future generations to make their own memories.
Last time I’ve seen this was 17 years ago. I’ve remembered it 3 years ago and have been trying to find it since then. Today, i’m in tears. It’s bringing me too many lost memories. Bro will always be a hero!
First saw this when I was 7 years old. Turned 21 about a month ago. Crazy how time flies. This dude is half the reason why I started playing the guitar. Thank you for being a part of all the bedroom shredders out there 🤘
I remember hanging out with friends in 2006 when I was a teenager, and one of my best friends, Colin, showed us this cool site he found called "RUclips." He wanted to learn to play the guitar, so he showed us this video (one of the uploads, at least) and talked about how much it inspired him and how he was watching it every day. And he ended up getting really good at guitar thanks to this video. Unfortunately, he passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly about ten years ago, but I still come back to this video from time to time because it reminds me of that day and how excited he was to show us. Crazy to believe that was well over fifteen years ago now.
I don't remember what year I watched this, but I am pretty sure it's more than 10 years ago... I converted this video to MP3 so that I could listen it in my MP3 player...
He had to have practiced this song for 10 years before he went this hard on a single take on a turned around digital camera. 17 years later this is still just as captivating as when I was 13.
I first saw this in 2006 and still return to it now when I need a pick me up. All the rubbish people are paid for "performing" and they are talentless. This guy is amazing. Thank you so much for making this video - you have made the world a better place
Refreshing back memories during my high school learn and play this almost 15 years back. I love and like funtwo version. So harmonic and sync with the song rhythm. Good job and great performance. When my son turn watch on this.. is only one word he saying…Amazing!
Same really. What I'm really missing on the modern covers is that distortion on 2:12. I know it was probably unintentional but it adds to the rawness. To me it deserves more attention because it sounds SICK
easy, because he hit the original meaning of the music. most covers are reduced on hitting the notes as fast as possible on a e-guitare and loosing the source. music is meaned to deliver a emotion, if you loose the emotion its just noise.
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!! Thank you for this. My roommate passed away from an overdose 4 years ago, he always absolutely RIPPED his electric guitar, and this reminded me of him 🩷 Not to mention, I get married in August and would have loved this. Amazing job. ♥️
I remember watching this for the first time several months after this was uploaded. Wow. I was about 10 years old, and RUclips was just starting to get popular where I grew up. Every time anyone mentioned RUclips, I would associate it with this video (thinking that this was one of ten videos that were uploaded at the time). In any case, this, along with the film School of Rock (which came out a few years prior), inspired me to play guitar. Man, what a legend.
16 Years later.. here I am back at my original inspiration. I finally feel ready to try and tackle learning this song for myself in the hopes of producing something at least a fraction similar. Just want to say thank you to Mr. FunTwo for posting this, probably thinking it wouldn't get anything. You've inspired us all my friend and we all thank you for it.

(Translate: I also heard it when I was 12 and now I'm 28. So we probably heard it in the same year.
I always get emotional with this song, it's the perfect union of the classic with the guitar being played with mastery.)
Thats great! Exciting! Seeing the world at 28 too. Shes going to have a great career in music!
16 years ago, but it will never been forgotten this canon rock.
When I'm tired this is my favorite sound trip.although there are covers but this is only one of the best original version
Cannon in D the most beautiful piece ever written. And rocking it up it is still awesome a true testimony to P’s’ genius.
- Me in 2006: Man I should work on my guitar skills to become like him!
- Also me in 2020: Man I should work on my guitar skills to become like him!
True, lol. 😂
True
Lol
Man, YOU are ME!
Literally 😂
Hahaha just practice alot, it took me few weeks to be able to play canon rock
March 2023 I’m 25. Saw this when I was 11. So much care free nostalgia. My mom being alive still. Everything still being ok. This video brings me back. Thank you my man.
I was 14 when this came out. Friends. Runescape. Fun. That’s all that mattered back then. It’s crazy how fast time just flew away.
Sorry about your mom♥︎
17 years holy I remember when this song had about 25k views back in the days, I still enjoy it as much as the first time I heard it❤
I watched this 15 years ago, and its what made me want to learn electric guitar. Glad to see its still up. And I just grabbed my old guitar out of storage, and am practicing again.
10 years later and no body played it better than this guy!!!!
The original is Jerry C is still better than this. 😂
what about sungha?
I don't think Sungha did it better than that awesome guy
Angelo Palaroan no way this better and he made jerry c and canon rock famous
Sungha couldnt pull off the awesomeness of jerry C's arrangement. He can play it though, but it lacks.
Still one of the cleanest versions out there. Remember watching this as a kid and being in awe, as I still am!
This RUclipsr is real.ruclips.net/video/TF6cnLnEARo/видео.html
Forever getting chills watching this 12 years later kudos to you sir 👏
This song is epic and timeless, I was 15 when I listened to this masterpiece for the first time and I couldn't believe what I was listening to, I became obsessed. I'm 32 now and still get goosebumps, I'll probably get them till I die 🥹 thank you man! ❤ when RUclips was RUclips ❤
It's pass 14 years and I still think this is the best version of Canon
Will this one was the closest to the original others was just covers with effects
@@rikonek9935 How is this closest to the original? Its nothing like the original you donut. The original is a classical piece of music
@@Liam.2000 he's talking about the one by jerry c. not the original canon lmao
@@seowoo1228 well he could’ve fuckin specified that u donkey, no one thinks of ‘Jerry.c’ when Canon is mentioned

Im with you bro

fuck its been a long time. reminds me of when i was a kid
same to you
Me too bro. I was 6, me and my brother used to watch this all the time.
Im 28 now and I remember watching this in about year 8 of school and being blown away and I'm still amazed 15 years later
10 YEARS TODAY the original video of this was uploaded. October 23rd, 2005. funtwo inspired so many people I know to pick up the guitar.Amazing musician.
+FrontlineGuitar yup. inspired the hell outta me. Forced me to practice sweeping for ever, now I think my skill level has improved enough to learn this song again. I learned all the way into almost the second round of the tell tale da-danada-danada.
Back when youtube was a simpler place with no fortnite youtubers
Omg yes
I hate fortnite, i love this video
HEY IT'S FREEEED

I cant stop coming back, 15 years later i still can't stop
This will always be the Canon Rock for me.
Steven Nieto agree !
same dude
Guitar bro
Come on
This guy can not imagine how important this video was in my entire childhood. I watched him totally enchanted, and dreaming of one day being able to play like that, or at least having a guitar that at the age of 12 had not yet. And today I watch it is a pure nostalgia, thanks for this video exist!!
@heber moreno i was going to ask same thing
this guy just copied Jerry C's video. hes a farse!
18 years later, still fire.🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣
Just wondering if he is aware of the thousand individuals he has inspired to become guitarist through this single video.
Feeling so nostalgic seeing this video after ages.
exactly my case...

17 years later and still the single best guitar video on youtube
Still love this all these years later!!
back when i was 12, now im turning 24 and i say his cover is still the best... pure talent...
RaJ RaVin' not pure talent but plenty of practice
Literally took the words out of my mouth
@Samuraii where du u get that
@Samuraii no jerry c = no canon rocks in guitar hero
I was about that age as well still love it
I’ve had a lot of friends come and go from my life since this video was first posted.
Incredibly well said, Jason.
Beautiful
Well said
This video is the reason i picked up a guitar 15 years ago… I’m still playing to this day and can now play this 🤙🏼
Last time I’ve seen this was 17 years ago.
Thank you for being a part of all the bedroom shredders out there 🤘
Sameeeeeeee
13 years later :D
Still love this rendition of Canon Rock :D
Compose lvl: *LEGENDARY*
10 años y sigue siendo la mejor version que escuche hasta ahora
This was a canon event in all 2010 kids life.
In the late 2000s, a lot of people claimed this guy to be in the top 10 best guitar players ever for a while.
Do you think they're wrong?!
Because I don't!
Yeah, there are many that play at this level or above. You would obviously be surprised. I still like tornado of souls better. Lol
@@nicktechnubyte1184 This guy is nowhere near the top, maybe top 10 RUclips guitarists back in 06 though
@@wes3793 that's what the OP said. He was definitely a top 10 back in 2006+
It's been almost 16 years since I saw this and I'm crying. The nostalgia will never be the same.
Never ever
Same!
Same damn time flies
I remeber this video 16 years ago, i'm crying.
Once in a while I still wake up thinking of this classic and need to come check it out.
I sunk like 200 hours into this and never mastered it when it came out and still dive back in every few years and it’s so worth it every time
I remember hanging out with friends in 2006 when I was a teenager, and one of my best friends, Colin, showed us this cool site he found called "RUclips." He wanted to learn to play the guitar, so he showed us this video (one of the uploads, at least) and talked about how much it inspired him and how he was watching it every day.
You bet! That was around the time RUclips just started --- 2006, so ~14 yrs really!
@@some90sKid me too... Digging my olf files I found that mp3. Searched on internet and the memories came back..

Why can't you compliment someone without being a hater at the same time lmao
Genuinely such a miserable attitude
Who's still here watching again in 2019? I loved this back in the early days.

Refreshing back memories during my high school learn and play this almost 15 years back.
I love and like funtwo version. So harmonic and sync with the song rhythm. Good job and great performance.
When my son turn watch on this.. is only one word he saying…Amazing!
It still sounds better, raw and powerful than all the modern covers after this.
Same really. What I'm really missing on the modern covers is that distortion on 2:12. I know it was probably unintentional but it adds to the rawness. To me it deserves more attention because it sounds SICK
@@ps2bndled the subtle imperfections are what turn this into a living, breathing masterpiece.
easy, because he hit the original meaning of the music. most covers are reduced on hitting the notes as fast as possible on a e-guitare and loosing the source. music is meaned to deliver a emotion, if you loose the emotion its just noise.
When life was so simple
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!! Thank you for this. My roommate passed away from an overdose 4 years ago, he always absolutely RIPPED his electric guitar, and this reminded me of him 🩷 Not to mention, I get married in August and would have loved this. Amazing job. ♥️
I still love this. I am not a 90s kid but my mum showed me this when I was younger. Still love it after so long.
Me too im 24 now and i can remember being 10 discovering this playing runescape n shit🤣
Yeah. I remember 100,000 views being a lot...
