    I actually don't mind F Maj so much, but I have to tell you I never heard anyone explain how to build it from an E Maj using the last three fingers and for some reason, that was so helpful! It made my brain feel a little more warm and fuzzy toward the F. It's so important to learn different perspectives and approaches to the same destination, because you never know which path might feel right or better. Building it backward from the last three fingers and then forming the barre makes it a lot faster for me. Thanks so much!

    For any beginners struggling here, It took me about 4 months to get this chord down all the way but I gotta say it is WORTH IT! With this shape alone you can play so many other chords just by sliding up and down the neck and will greatly expand your sound! (Edit): if it helps anyone, when barring with the index finger just keep in mind to put most of your pressure in the first two strings and the 6th only. No need to put pressure on all of the strings since your other three fingers are already playing them.

    EXTREMELY HELPFUL TIP: Place the fingers for the individual strings of the chord first, then place the finger that barres the first fret. This is extremely useful and I got all of the strings ringing out clearly on my first try. Also, apply this tip to any barre chord. Place the fingers for the individual strings first, then place the finger that barres the fret.

  • @imajeenyus42
    @imajeenyus42 5 лет назад +1

    The way I play Fmaj, FWIW - partial bar with the index on top two strings, like you show, middle on 3rd, ring on 5th, little on 4th, and then the crowning horror - thumb on 6th! I know a lot of people frown on using the thumb for fingering, but hey, it works. Plus that arrangement makes it much easier and quicker to change between C and F, and it frees the index finger for doing stuff on the top two strings.

    Its soooo nice you're doing lessons now, and you're so right about how to use chords' different voices which are dictated by a song, especially that F Major which I too just based my entire new original music composition performed on guitar that I do for book trailers and I needed that F Major chord and F Major key sounds for a new theme I did for the Fantasy character Dorothy Gale from the Oz stories/comic bks!
    Regarding my favorite/arch nemesis chord, I don't have one b/c they're all different and important and each have specific uses to create different feelings/emotions which is important for a composer like me who uses melodies and chords to really create emotions for stories, so I've come to appreciate all chords.
