Big tip from a beginner as well, keep your hand round, curled and loose. Shake it out!!! I was struggling so much just a second ago, did this and now I got it!!

I self-taught myself to play the guitar 11 years ago. I finally gave up and decided to find an easier way to play this hell-sent chord.

I think I killed my soul 3 times, summoned 6 demons and broke 4 guitar strings trying to learn this chord
I remember being a beginner and avoiding this chord at every possible chance that I had....now it's one one of my favourite of the standard chords.
I had been playing my Bm one fret too low on the neck... no wonder it always sounded wrong

I finally just strummed it and it sounded like the real bar chord! It was the "Use the side of your index finger" that I wasn't doing! Thank you! I'll work on the calluses on the side of my index finger and think I will finally get this chord down after a year of trying to play! :D
This is really helpful, I have small hands and short fingers so it is very hard for me to do the bar chord, I am really glad to know that there are alternatives. :)
Same here! And on a classic guitar, even harder! I finally have an option!
If you do the drop D or dropit down E you really will keep played much more
@@judriki5516 the classic guitar with nylon string is a lot easier when u start playing
When you drop eaten or d a d g a d makes the strings much slinky easier to push down
Dear everybody freaking out, barre chords develop as ur grip strength does, don't worry if is doesn't ring out at first

Finally found it Bm....tutorial but everytime when i watch you're vedio,it looks so easy for Ex. Like despacito tutorial I have watched that tutorial so many times like 1000times 😄but when i really practice it's so difficult for me😁😄

it might just be the frets on my guitar but I cannot barre the 2nd fret, even if i have no fingers on any other strings and its just a barre, I thought I was doing it wrong but it looks like its just my guitar thats broken lol

Just keep practicing once u play for a little while you can hit bar cords like they’re nothing, I used to have slot of trouble with them to and I’be been playing for maybe 3-4 months
