I know most people dint relise it, but these jokes calling people furries without even knowing them or if you do know them, calling people furries just to make fun of they're interests as a 'joke' is really harmful for some people and makes them really feel bad about they're interests, so word of advice, don't go calling people furries as a joke because it isint, and never was funny, your just making fun of people for they're interests even if you don't mean it, they might not know that. As a Native myself I just want to say THANK YOU for addressing the fabric issue properly, and somehow finding the motivation again to redo this project/tutorial all because of the fabric. It’s important that non indigenous individuals call out these kinds of issues because they take away from real indigenous. I really can’t thank you enough, it’s nice knowing you’re on our side, and going to the lengths that you did to do the right thing. That being said I’m sorry you had to redo everything though! That’s such a pain, just know your hard work does not go unnoticed and it proves how great of an artist and person you are!! ❤️ Lovely work as always!

Hey I’ve got a suggestion for cutting out the pads after appliqué-ing them on instead of using scissors I find that if you VERY carefully cut them out with a blade thing it is much easier once you get the hang of it, it might take a few tries but I definitely find it easier you can also use that method with minky or fleece you’ll just need to trim the edges with small scissors after anyway I hope that this will help someone and credit to Matrices for the idea in the first place so you can check out their tutorial if this is hard to understand

To the pet of fursuit making by hand, I can only agree! I made hand paws twice and I don't have a sowing machine/my family without sewing experience is convinced that a machine can't do this stuff. My fingers where hurting so bad by forcing the needle through the fabric. Also trimming fur per scissor cause cause they also don't believe a trimmer can trimm soft faux fur😅
People that do their own fursuits it's possible but a trimmer that can do this will safe you hours of worry
Fantastic video and I might add feet paws to my fursuit after years cause this is a really good guide
Just have to figure out European equivalents of some materials

For the toe beans, there's actually special scissors for cutting along the side of applique as close to the seam as possible without ruining it. They're unsurprisingly called applique scissors. If you get them, consider getting the offset type instead of the straight type because it makes it easier to cut flat along the edge.

Hey Neff- I have a pair of shoes that I normally wear on a daily basis but I don’t want to glue them down or get a new pair because shoes are expensive- could I glue down Velcro or elastic bands to the bottom of the inside of the feet and stick the shoe in that way so it’s removable?
