    • @Neffertity
      @Neffertity  Год назад +63

      @bobatiger I personally wouldn't recommend that.
      Onsies are often made of fleece, and are designed to trap heat to keep you warm.
      Adding more padding on top of that would not only be very difficult, but would also put your health at risk with how much heat it would trap.
      Especially if this is for a child, whos body cannot properly regulate heat.

    Using stuffing as padding like that instead of custom-shaped "pillows" in the legs is 1000% the method I will be going for now, I didn't even think of that. I know probably not a method you "came up with" but you definitely have it down. By the way, the bodysuit blew me away. You nailed those gradients. Super clean and beautiful work. But Xeen's design was so beautiful too! And I just love that tail! So majestic! One day, maybe I'll try to make a suit, but that's probably gonna be in the distant future. My love I needed this tutorial in may 😂 I was making a full digigrade suit for anthrocon. I did well with the ducktape dummy, but I wasn’t sure what method to use for doing the legs. What I ended up doing is not make any butt volume (which turned out perfectly fine, the butt volume may have taken away from the tail since it’s a bird with wide tail feathers) but what I ended up doing was take a whole bag of polyfil, strap it to my leg, and that was the poof.
    The shape turned out really nice, I even got into a couple peoples anthrocon videos like kite and zeekayart.
    Also for my suit I made the leg stuffing into shaped pillow inserts. It just seems easier to be able to wash it if I don’t have to pull loose stuffing out of the legs you know?

    Where do you suggest cutting darts and just slicing through the pattern altogether? Im having trouble figuring out the difference between convex and concave curves and where to place my cuts.

    So is the stuffing directly against the leg of the wearer or does the lining hold it in somehow?

    • @Neffertity

      It goes between the lining and the fur backing

    Hi again! Just wondering, I already have Lycra, but for future reference for lining, would you recommend Lycra or neoprene more? Neoprene is definitely thicker from what ive seen, but I just want to know your opinion!
