Friend of the maker from starfall costumes, they went absolutely ballistic when they saw they were on the thumbnail of the video and were incredibly happy. You should also check out their axolotl suit they made for an acquaintance of mine as well!
Oh boy---I hope I end up on one of these! As excited as I am about how well the cooling system is coming together, I _know_ I'll be making some mistakes. The fact that the headpiece is EVA foam instead of upholstery, there's no fur involved at all, it doesn't follow the conventions of standard headpiece design, and there's polymers, air-drying clay, and acrylic paint involved in it all is going to make things REALLY interesting...!

I sometimes think of the first and only fursuit I've made and think he could look so much better and then I look at him say "yeah he's a little blocky but he doesn't look that bad"
These are really inspiring me to go slow and do my best on my first, which I started on a couple nights ago. So far I have the buckethead base together (from your tutorial, question about that later) and a pair of paws foamed :) Question about the buckethead base - you mentioned that the triangular holes in the top don't strictly _need_ to be filled, and my triangles from the back of the head aren't big enough. What do I miss out on if I don't cut out bigger triangles and glue those in?

neck fur isn't the easiest to figure out if ya don't have access to an edhead or such. I've put off that part of my suit because of it - gonna finish the rest of the head and then add neck after.
I don't have an edhead either... though I bought and printed a neck pattern and modified it slightly to match the width/circumference of the head base, and it works for me.
