@@TheUltimateNatural You have the ability to go anywhere, do anything. You mostly limited to how much stamina you have at the moment, but you can practically climb anything, and so nothing is in your way, when you want to go somewhere

@@HylianKirbo True. BOTW definitely had to switch to mostly piano as well to create a certain vibe. I just hope that they make more games like the oldies because they had amazing soundtracks that just don't fit in BOTW.
For some reason this is the most nostalgic theme out of all the Zelda themes

It's one of the calmest and prettiest, so it's one of the songs immediately linked with some sort of positive memory. Well at least I think so.

I 110% agree with you. Skyward Sword, faults and all, had a setting and atmosphere like no other, and it's owed a lot to the very start, before you even begin your adventure. Put simply, that heavenly arrangement is everything right with Skyward Sword.

Man I will always remember when I was a five-year-old back in the late 90s/early 2000’s. My parents just got a divorce and my father owned his own business so I had to be babysat quite a bit and my babysitter was a teenager and she gave me the opportunity to play The legend of Zelda OOT as well as MM. those are memories that I will never forget. If it wasn’t for the legend of Zelda franchise I would’ve never tried becoming a filmmaker which is what I do as a professional working as a director for Netflix now. About to head into my mid20s and looking back. I own the LOZ franchise a lot. For the kids that come and watch this video enjoy your childhood will you have it trust me when I say as a adult even if you’re working in your dream job such as I am always gonna look back at the more innocent times.

Oml I just got BotW (my first time ever having a Zelda game) it makes me want to playthrough all of them. Do I can feel what you feel. Knowing I'll only be able to feel it over the stuff I have now. But with our generation I only hope it's as genuine as it is for you.

@@chrislol8008 The pacing. I sometimes forgot what was the objective, but still a solid zelda game with good overworld, dungeons and bosses.
Koji Kondo, Kazumi Totaka, Akira Yamaoka... Video game composers are truly inspiring in their work. Without them, our favourite games just wouldn't be the same!
Nobuo Uematsu made so many amazing soundtracks from my youth. The games he worked on were made infinitely better because of his music.
Music is a truly wonderful thing. It elevates everything it touches, brings softness to solace.

Did nobody else know that the Fairy Fountain song is the same in both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask?
Larry Hegs They are basically one game split in two. Majora’s Mask is a sequel so it was only destined for it to occur.
They are basically the same game because they use the same character models, songs, and sounds and use the same engine.
Majora's Mask was originally intended to be an expansion to Ocarina of Time that would just add more dungeons to the already existing world. However, they decided to make it a stand alone title during it's development. That, it's short nine month development cycle, and other reasons are why the game shares many if the same aspects of Ocarina of Time, as well as why the three day cycle is a thing.

Ocarina of time …. Reminds me of my childhood playing my big brothers Nintendo 64 … my big brother mother and dad are all gone now … so hearing these play again after so many years …. Brought a sudden peace of happiness but also Avery sharp pain in my chest …. Oh how I miss them …
@@Jakebliven94no it’s a flute, in the game the npc is clearly using a flute. So it wouldn’t make any sense to use a ocarina.

Fun fact: Phantom Hourglass actually has a second take of the Fairy Fountain theme that plays during the ending, called "Ciela's Parting Words." However, it hits different due to its more bittersweet tone and the addition of an entirely new segment to the song.
It's taken me some time, but I actually quite like the BOTW one. I used to think it was okay, but now I really do like it it's pretty unique. Not my favorite, but still great in it's own right.

I hate waking up, so as much as I want to do this I’m quite sure I won’t because it’ll wreck the song for me ever after. 😂
it is because it is one of first songs that you hear. You hear it first when creating a save file in every game. You also associate it with safety, and upgrades. It is a simple melody, easy to remember, reinforced every time a game comes out, when you start playing, and during important events in game.
My next favorite is Rito Village. I find Rito quite charming, especially in BoTW.
Without a doubt, Skyward Sword is my pick for best Fairy Fountain theme. Those sweeping violins do so much in setting the tone for the game. Sweet, angelically delicate qualities, quite fitting for as heavenly a setting as Skyloft!

I love that you can hear the breaths from the musician in the Milk Bar rendition, makes it feel so cozy and warm
So I noticed in A Link Between World’s Milk Bar song (10:50) you can hear the piccolo player breathing. It’s cool they used a real person for the music.

out of all of these botw's fairy fountain soundtrack feels the most underwhelming. yeah i think it's good, but it feels like background noise - which makes sense to the open world botw since it won't feel cut off if you pass by because they made it sound continuous and making it not stand out too much
it serves it's purpose well, but i wish they'd add a stronger separate soundtrack that plays when you actually talk to one of the great fairies

Something about ALTTP's theme I just love. Maybe it's the fact that it's so soft. Not to throw a theme like Skyward Sword's under the bus, but it's just so loud and has so much going on. Given the right moment or cutscene it could fit perfectly, but I always imagined a Fairy Fountain being a place of tranquility where Link goes to heal his wounds.
Skyward Sword sounds like it should be in a Disney film and I am loving it ♥️

i always loved the SS version of this song. i remember watching my older brother play it a lot 10 years ago at this point and i was mesmerized by it. i always wanted to watch him play. i picked up watching SS gameplay again a couple months ago because i was bored and i fell back into this franchise. i played and completed BOTW and cried my eyes out. i also picked up SS and TP for the first time and the nostalgia i got from SS was just ugh. i wish i could be a kid again and watch my brother play SS. no way to turn back time sadly but it doesn’t hurt to wish sometimes. i am determined to at least play every single LOZ game. i’ve been obsessed with everything Zelda for the past 3-4 months now and this has been the longest i’ve ever been obsessed with anything surprisingly. goes to show how much this franchise means to me :)

It's by far the best price of music in every zelda game.
My first Zelda game was Windwaker and it is, to date, my favorite fairy fountain theme. I was unsure whether I’d like the series at first but the moment I entered the first fountain and heard that theme, I knew this series was about to occupy the majority of my free time for the foreseeable future.

It’s perfectly in time, there’s just an emphasis on the second offbeat of every bar so it sounds slightly off-kilter.
