botws great fairy fountain just sounds like something youd come across in an adventure game... because it is. the sound design in this makes it so you can just start from anywhere in the song and it still sounds like a full song. perfect.

Phantom Hourglass was the first one I ever heard. Shame there were no actual fountains in the game. So the main menu was the only place you could listen to it.

The Great Fairy theme is so nostalgic for me. I always used to watch my dad play games, and he used to play Twilight Princess on the Wii. About 15 years later, I played BOTW for the first time last year and had a huge wave of nostalgia when I heard the Great Fairy theme Now when my dad occasionally plays on his Switch he asks me for help, how times have changed. I really hope Nintendo remaster or at least port Twilight Princess to the Switch some day

U forgot Scott Pilgrim Save the World’s fairy theme. Best one IMO

Fun fact: all top-down Zelda games, starting with A Link to the Past, feature very similar or identical renditions of the theme in the F# key, while all 3D games starting with Ocarina of Time, feature renditions of the same theme in the F key instead. A little something for musicians like myself.

10:50 is the absolute worst. I mean, all versions from this game suck, but this one steals the whole pie. Breaks the rhythmical melody, changes the chords and abuses of simplicity incorrectly. In short, it destroys all that is good from the original theme. I still wonder how Nintendo approved an awkward rendition like this.
