My dad wasn’t a gamer but he loved a great story, I was a gamer and I had just gotten OOT, so he sat there with me watching me play and deeply immersed in the adventure. Hours we went laughing, seriousness, even scary moments all with the amazing score of this timeless game but he was there with me through it all to the end. My dad isn’t here with me anymore but his memory will forever be... yes I cried my eyes out but I truly want to thank you. When you play this game as an adult and realize you've lost all the imagination you had as a kid. You feel stuck in the physical bounderies of the game whereas when you were a child there were no bounderies, it just felt limitless. You were so engaged into the story, and immersed by your surroundings that every area you explored had its own smell. I really miss that.

One day, a madman, blessed with a powerful magic overheard a sincere wish. He could not fully grant it, but he could not let it be either. So he determined to ask "would you like to re-ignite it?" As for the rest of the story, that is up to you. He hoped they would hear him, but did they ever respond? Only time will tell.

Takes me back to 2000 I was 4 years old, my uncle who was like my older brother (he passed away last year.. rest in peace) was in high school, and I used to love watching him play One of my proudest moments was one day (he gave me the 64) I found the sinker lure and caught the Hylian Eel first cast. His jaw hit the floor cause he had never seen anybody catch it and here I was 6 or 7 years old smiling ear to ear cause I impressed him This will always make me think of him when I listen now, thank you
that's such a lovely memory! I remember always watching my 5years older brother play, i was about 6-7 like you and when I would be so proud to be able to solve some riddles or like you, do one in a million chance thing ahahah Im now 20 and i bought my own Nintendo and the game! It's my turn to play, watch me big bro!
Lol my cousin who is 8 years older so I call him my uncle gave me his NES in 94 for my 5th bday still one of my favorite memories. Sounds like our stories are fairly similar , those were the days weren’t they? Rip to your uncle sounds like a good guy

Does anyone else get that nostalgic feeling, where they see or hear something and they get that weird feeling in their throat and you suddenly want to cry but you don’t. This brings me back to when I was very young. I miss my childhood 😭😭. I want to learn this in piano now
Lon Lon Ranch, Kakariko and the Gerudo Valley themes are probably the three most nostalgic themes ever for me. I played this game sooooooo much... For years... Got this game in 98 when I was 12... I still play it today at 38. Played it all weekend...
Erik C 'Piano Man' how much time did you put in memorizing all of it though, cuz it’s taking me almost 2 weeks just to master Bach’s minuet in G, lol.. (literally brand new piano player btw)

Keep up the amazing work, and i need to say that that is the absolute best arrangement of Lon Lon ranch of ever heard, this entire arrangement may even be the best Zelda piano arrangement I’ve heard
I’m so sorry about your brother I don’t know what happened to him.My brother died..we connected over old games and stuff like this too. Isn’t it interesting how something can be so sad yet beautiful
At least 6 times a year I always find myself accidentally clicking on piano covers of OOT, and every time I become a babbling baby for the next 30 minutes from they amount of love I have for this game. OOT played such a huge role in my growth as a person and I don't think I will ever be able to lose the love I had for this game and its story.
i have almost every Zelda game due to my father and his obsession with it...he dresses up as Link every year for halloween and makes mom dress up as Zelda and right when the “Breath of the Wild” came out idk how fast but we were zooming to the game store to buy it😭 (just a little memory i had and i wanted to share)
I'm 14 currently and I remember back maybe 4, 5 years ago when I got a 3ds and OOT 3d to go along with it. I played it many many times and loved the adventure and the magical child like innocence of the game. Even though I never beat the whole game as the later dungeons were a bit hard for me I remember especially connecting with the part when Link is a kid and going on his light hearted little adventure to stop ganondorf from getting power. I loved how fun it was to explore the world and it's people and how alive it seemed to me at the time. Right now my parents are going through a divorce. I listen to this soundtrack quite often as it reminds me of better times when I was just an innocent little kid getting lost in an adventure. That worst part for me is knowing I will never truly be able to return to those days.
During the covid lockdowns, I learned your version of fairies fountain. My life was complete… then this! Lucky for me I’m getting my tonsils removed and will have a solid week to learn this absolutely stunning adaptation! You are truly an inspiring pianist!
24 here as well and same. I had these soundtracks on CD and used to listen to them all the time on long bus rides from school. Listening to this music for me is just a journey home...
There is nothing wrong with music driving you to tears. It is a fairly common occurrence, honestly. Don't be ashamed. This compilation of medleys is astoundingly beautiful from an astoundingly beautiful game.
I only turned 18 recently so I was WAY too young when this game was released (I wasn't even born lmao) but I still had tears in my eyes, because I also played this game a pretty long time ago.. ;-;
I literally ended the video crying. this game was part of my childhood, i still remember myself with 7 years in front of the console playing the game. And absolutely I'm a zelda fan since that age. thanks for upload this video, you got my "like" to the video and new subscriber
I’ve never felt such a strong connection to a game before. I remember playing it and being fully immersed. I felt like I was part of that world and it was beautiful in all aspects.
I can't describe how much i've always loved the great fairy fountain song like I would turn on zelda on my 64 and just sit him in certain places of the map for different songs especially the fairy fountain
I started listening this While doing my homework but I couldn't concentrate because it was so beautyfull That I just wanted to listen to this. The legend of zelda ocarina of Time was one of my first zelda game and the music are just so good:) Also sorry if I made some mistake english is ont my first language:)
This was the first game my dad ever taught me how to play, I have so many memories with this game, so much laughing, we discussed all the puzzles together, screamed and laughed together during all the boss fights, and he'd show me new things with this game all the time 😁 I was so little when he started teaching me, around 6 or so, I didn't actually get to finish the game with him before my parents got divorced right before I turned seven. I will always remember that time, though ❤️ He even named the save file after me, my brother, and sister, using all of our first initials ❤️ I forgot about the game for a while after that, but found it and brought it back to my dad the summer before I started high school and asked if we could play together and actually beat it and we did! Even after that, I told him I wanted to beat it on my own and he would sit and watch me, we'd discuss boss patterns and everything together, we've talked for hours about that game❤️ This game and soundtrack holds so much value for me, I really do cherish it and the memories I have with it, even made my senior quote a quote from a LOZ game this year 😁(made me cry btw, this was super nostalgic for me 😭♥️)
Cian Shamrock yeah cause of that they probs won’t make one but I would like a proper makeover like the unreal engine remake. Maybe later on in the switch’s life we’ll get one
Uses to play these games with my grandmother as a kid. She was way into zelda and final fantasy and was the one who got me into gaming and anime as a child. I could never be more thankful for having such an amazing grandma.
2:10 Just this transition and how everything just works. When I was listening, I had to literally go back because it was so gooood. This was fantastic! Your so talented 🥺
The nostalgia feeling I got from OOT and TP actually disappeared when I played through them recently. I guess the fact that I never beat them when I was a kid contributed to the nostalgia feeling.
Preston Mollohan-Hardy with proper consistent focused practice, I’m confident anyone can learn most, if not all, of my arrangements. Gl and happy practicing.
Nothing is a waste if your pour passion and enjoyment in it. Go for it friend. Enjoy every small achievement you get, and don't compare yourself to others. You are doing this for yourself.
I am laying in my bed in the middle of the night listening to this video on loop, just basking in your Incredible, awe-inducing talent. Amazing, and very well done. I am truly Inspired.
It was a rendition of songs the OP clearly also felt and most likely played in his own youth, just like us. It was felt by all that played arguably the best game of all time. Bro, thank you. :)
I didn't like this version at first because it was a bit different from the original, but now it's growing on me. Listening to it when I'm feeling down gives me strength. Thank you❤
One of my greatest memories include me and my brother on our old GameCube. I would spend hours at a time playing oot or maj mask with him. Even when I knew nothing about the game, I had fun playing it with him. This is where my love for Zelda games grew. I started with ocarina of time, and I played it with my older brother. Sometimes I’d watch (because he knew a lot more about the game than me) and learn from him. He’s the one who got me into the legend of Zelda. I am 100% grateful for it. Thank you for playing these. It brings back happy memories and great nostalgia.
I cannot stress enough how much I love this video, the transitions are perfect you depect every single song in such a beautiful way and I got chills when you played gerudo valley, AWSOME video to watch probably my favorite video ever on youtube
Spent my half childhood in Hyrule. Even was in love with Zelda. Kicking Ganons butt never got old and the Zombies never lost their scariness. Well spent time.
I was wondering why this sounded note for note exactly the same as another one I've heard.... Until I realised it was your older medley. Amazing stuff dude
I remember playing with my brother and cousin together, on weekdays, afer school and weekends. This and so many more games. Trying to think how to solve the puzzles, and dungeons, making connections with all the characters, etc. Man what good times that will never come back ever again. Now is all memories.
The Zelda: Ocarina of Time soundtrack on piano just sounds like a beautifully pieced version of a Beethoven symphony! I remember how my older brother introduced me to the entire Zelda franchise with OoT. It was so fun playing through the game and bothering him to help me with levels I didn't understand well. I seen it pop up back in my recommended and now I'm just sad that we lost the game, I plan to scavenge through my entire house just to get back the game and actually finish it! (Yes, younger me decided to randomly stop playing it, I regret it now... T^T) What great memories ☺️😭☺️
I FEEL THE STRESS of getting it all right in once!!! I never played such a long piece, but I took years of piano and recitals/auditions were always very scary. I imagine video recording is just as bad if not worse! And you did great. I love these songs, and I didn't notice any mistakes, though I do agree on a bit of heavy-handedness every once in a while. Overall, very good job! Keep it up
I loved these, but I felt a little overwhelmed by some of the songs like ”Zelda’s Lullaby”. Most of the beauty of that song is in the simplicity, and clarity of each passing note, but it’s removed when you start adding glissando.
Wow! Excellent arrangement and performance! Such lovely music, what a fantastic medley. Great work! Your effort is appreciated. Thank you for sharing this! 🤙✌️
Thanks to videos like this bro you have helped me become a keen piano player. Thanks man will be trying This once I jump on the keyboard again. Well done bro.

i wish i could hear these songs with less pain and more nostalgia... i really miss my twin brother.
Why do you miss your twin?
JujYFru1T I tear up every time listening to this. I’m sorry for you loss.
I’m so sorry about your brother I don’t know what happened to him.My brother died..we connected over old games and stuff like this too. Isn’t it interesting how something can be so sad yet beautiful
Hero of Twilight He passed away 11 years ago.
Ted TV thank you ❤️ (dunno why YT notifications don't work :/)
Well it's no wonder he's talented, he's an Erik with a k. We're, different.
BUILT DIFFERENT
@@constantinemacris9047 Spelt different too
My name is also Erik with a K. And i agree 100%. We are different.
LOL 🙈👌👍😂 out of all the eric's to eriks, omg youve pointed out a cheat code to parents that like the name eric
im from germany and its normal lol
I watched this at least 500 times over the years. I just can't stop listening to it. I love it!
5:58 - You snuck that little Zelda's Lullaby snippet in there, damn. This is such a wonderful medley.
This was incredible, that great fairy fountain solo was amazing to listen to!
i have almost every Zelda game due to my father and his obsession with it...he dresses up as Link every year for halloween and makes mom dress up as Zelda and right when the “Breath of the Wild” came out idk how fast but we were zooming to the game store to buy it😭 (just a little memory i had and i wanted to share)
I can't get over how amazing your rendition of the Fairy Fountain is. You're insanely talented!
Me: what a great day today
Erik: *NOSTALGIA PUNCH*

gaarafan93 he better like this

Still a great day :]

I'm a percussionist and sort of teaching myself how to play piano after all these years. Seeing and hearing this is so inspirational! This is amazing
I went into this thinking it would be like any other "medley video", but I was astonished...
Truly a work of art.
The emotion this melody brought forth is amazing! So many fond memories from when I was a child. Thank you so much! You did the every Zelda fan proud.
You are truly an inspiring pianist!
mate can you send me the sheet music please im broke rn and i wanna learn this
No game music we’ll ever hit my emotions as hard as the ocarina of time theme song
The people who disliked couldn't find the master sword.
@Dan Savage That’s just how dumb they are
I have a feeling you have only played breath of the wild.
Fuuunny
@Ty The Great You must of disliked the video...
@Ty The Great I can accept other opinions but a clash of opinions is what makes it interesting.
ピアノでこんなに感動したのは初めてです。鳥肌が止まらない。ずっと聞いていたいなあ
Why do I come to tears when I hear this music. What is it about this that gets my heart in this feel. I’m 24 years old, this is kind of embarrassing.
I’ve never played Ocarina of Time and I’ve been brought to tears by this before. You’re not alone
Don’t be embarrassed it just means that you have a soul
24 here as well and same. I had these soundtracks on CD and used to listen to them all the time on long bus rides from school. Listening to this music for me is just a journey home...
There is nothing wrong with music driving you to tears. It is a fairly common occurrence, honestly. Don't be ashamed. This compilation of medleys is astoundingly beautiful from an astoundingly beautiful game.
I only turned 18 recently so I was WAY too young when this game was released (I wasn't even born lmao) but I still had tears in my eyes, because I also played this game a pretty long time ago.. ;-;
I literally ended the video crying. this game was part of my childhood, i still remember myself with 7 years in front of the console playing the game. And absolutely I'm a zelda fan since that age. thanks for upload this video, you got my "like" to the video and new subscriber
Crying too, started to at Lon Lon Ranch because it reminds me of hanging out on the farm with horses when I was a kid
Friends: how do you sleep at night?
Me: listening to Zelda melody
MrRednexus Same.
I’ve never felt such a strong connection to a game before. I remember playing it and being fully immersed. I felt like I was part of that world and it was beautiful in all aspects.
Me and my dad had played all the Zelda games. When i was 7, he passed away. This gave me back those happy moments. Thank you.
Elliot Feierabend my first Zelda game was wind waker when I was 9 and I didn’t even make it past the second dungeon lol
@Holden The Gamer probably meant 17 and typoed lol
I can't describe how much i've always loved the great fairy fountain song like I would turn on zelda on my 64 and just sit him in certain places of the map for different songs especially the fairy fountain
Bro I dont know why but I started crying I just appreciate this
Those extra notes added to the melody of Lon Lon ranch really make me feel something I haven’t felt in years ❤
I started listening this While doing my homework but I couldn't concentrate because it was so beautyfull That I just wanted to listen to this.
The legend of zelda ocarina of Time was one of my first zelda game and the music are just so good:)
Also sorry if I made some mistake english is ont my first language:)
I think Zelda was the first video game I ever played so this hits me right in the nostalgia
Even after that, I told him I wanted to beat it on my own and he would sit and watch me, we'd discuss boss patterns and everything together, we've talked for hours about that game❤️ This game and soundtrack holds so much value for me, I really do cherish it and the memories I have with it, even made my senior quote a quote from a LOZ game this year 😁(made me cry btw, this was super nostalgic for me 😭♥️)
I'm the exact same but my brother in law showed me how to play and before I turned 7 I was taken from my parents about a year later I got to go home
NINTENDO REMAKE THIS GAME FOR THE SWITCH GODAMMIT
I'll pay them with my life earnings for this lol
Lingering in the Darkness I’d give them my soul
Why tho, they legit just made a remake
Cian Shamrock yeah cause of that they probs won’t make one but I would like a proper makeover like the unreal engine remake. Maybe later on in the switch’s life we’ll get one
who needs kidneys? I'll sell them for nintendo to do it
Uses to play these games with my grandmother as a kid. She was way into zelda and final fantasy and was the one who got me into gaming and anime as a child. I could never be more thankful for having such an amazing grandma.
Imagine some lad hearing this without any context in like a 1000 years, didn't even play the game and still washed with nostalgia
I want to play piano so bad, but starting at 23 feels like a waste when prodigious people like Erik exist... 😞 still I will try my best
It's never too late to learn an instrument my friend. Good luck on your adventure!
Preston Mollohan-Hardy I can’t stress how much I encourage you to try. Even for a beginner like me it’s so much fun!
I started later than 23 and had no problem. Just get a piano and consistently play.
Oh wow. You got me. I’m not a “shed a tear” kind of girl but I blinked a few from dropping in on this. Hit me right in the feels.
I am laying in my bed in the middle of the night listening to this video on loop, just basking in your Incredible, awe-inducing talent. Amazing, and very well done. I am truly Inspired.
I‘ve never heard anything more beautiful… Hit me right in the feels ♥️🥲
3:56 Oh my lord that transition was stunning! beautifully performed, my friend.
Sadly I don’t think I’ll become nostalgic for the legend of Zelda games ):
Because I’ll never stop playing them as I grow old
I still have a N64 with OoT and Majora’s mask(Gold Cartridge)
But still feel nostalgic:(
@@Chirichiriden bro i got the exact same stuff
I play this game every day and I cried
Love this comment! Made me laugh out loud
On the Oot forest temple right now
It was a rendition of songs the OP clearly also felt and most likely played in his own youth, just like us. It was felt by all that played arguably the best game of all time. Bro, thank you. :)
Love the part where you combined lon lon with zeldas lullaby
I always come back to this masterpiece. Aah the nostalgia.
9:18 love how you included that
I didn't like this version at first because it was a bit different from the original, but now it's growing on me. Listening to it when I'm feeling down gives me strength. Thank you❤
I’ll never get tired of listening to these songs
One of my greatest memories include me and my brother on our old GameCube. I would spend hours at a time playing oot or maj mask with him. Even when I knew nothing about the game, I had fun playing it with him. This is where my love for Zelda games grew. I started with ocarina of time, and I played it with my older brother. Sometimes I’d watch (because he knew a lot more about the game than me) and learn from him. He’s the one who got me into the legend of Zelda. I am 100% grateful for it. Thank you for playing these. It brings back happy memories and great nostalgia.
There’s a reason why this is the best critically acclaimed game of all time
I cannot stress enough how much I love this video, the transitions are perfect you depect every single song in such a beautiful way and I got chills when you played gerudo valley, AWSOME video to watch probably my favorite video ever on youtube
What great memories ☺️😭☺️
I FEEL THE STRESS of getting it all right in once!!! I never played such a long piece, but I took years of piano and recitals/auditions were always very scary. I imagine video recording is just as bad if not worse! And you did great. I love these songs, and I didn't notice any mistakes, though I do agree on a bit of heavy-handedness every once in a while. Overall, very good job! Keep it up
Congrats on this beast of a medley, Erik! Really paid off.
Jonathan Morris thx man. Now I jut have to figure out this false copyright claim that’s still on the video 🙄
@@ErikCPianoman rip
@@ErikCPianoman What happened that may have copyright claimed your video?
Happy 35th Zelda!!!
Played this when I was 10, here I am at 22 still listening to the ost lmao.
Brought a tear to my eye
I come back for the Great Fairy Fountain part every few months. Beautiful!
Hmmmm...I now know a new video that will be listened in loop...
I'm currently playing through the game. Somehow I still feel nostalgic
No one:
Every easy piano tutorial: it’s easy
Big fan of legend of zelda. This bring tears to my eyes. Thank you for taking the time to learning this and blessing the world with your talent ✨️ 🙏🏿
look at his hand at 4:37 lol his hand is like "what am i freaking supposed to do ??????"
Almost ruined the take there 😨... Silly me.
Also good eye 👀
I loved these, but I felt a little overwhelmed by some of the songs like ”Zelda’s Lullaby”. Most of the beauty of that song is in the simplicity, and clarity of each passing note, but it’s removed when you start adding glissando.
Wow! Excellent arrangement and performance! Such lovely music, what a fantastic medley. Great work! Your effort is appreciated. Thank you for sharing this! 🤙✌️
Damn dude watching how complex the structure of these songs just makes me appreciate the songs so much more.
Thanks to videos like this bro you have helped me become a keen piano player. Thanks man will be trying This once I jump on the keyboard again. Well done bro.
"Alright, time to learn some songs on piano, huh, zelda's lullaby. That should be easy enou-"
What an emotional roller-coaster...
I taught myself every melody from this game on my trumpet, but this sounds a lot better heheheh
