The name Heartache really captures Toriel so well. She lost her only two children, then her husband lost himself to his grief-stricken anger. She's seen innocent humans die...and now she's trying so desperately to save another child.
She should have interfered with Asgore’s plan if she hated it that much instead of being disgusted an leaving. She is the queen of the underground so she should have tried to help her people. Instead of that, she put her wants first and left for the ruins. For someone who is concerned for children, she sure is selfish.
@@Taha_A fair, though if she had tried to stop it and failed, asgore would have gone insane trying to understand her motives. Plus, the fallout would have been much bigger within the monster kingdom. Potentially causing a war within monster-kind, with them taking sides between who is right. I could be wrong, but I always just thought she was there to stop the last human needed from meeting the same fate as the others.

I really love how ASGORE's boss fight scene got some notes of Toriel's Heartache... Kinda like there's a very strong connection, like both of these don't want to fight against you but they "have to do that"
ASGORE has notes of heartache, but heartache doesnt have any notes of ASGORE. This pretty much shows that asgore still values toriel, but toriel just wants to flat out forget about asgore.

I actually made a promise to myself to NEVER Rest after the Pacifist Run and so I did. I've NEVER Rest or killed someone, so yeah, I've never done Geonised before. But that don't mean I don't know anything about it. I was sad at first and tempted to Reset but I managed not to and I'm pretty fine now and not tempted in anyway. I don't want to ruin my perfect happy ending

Omega flowey’s bossfight OST captures the insanity of the situation so well. It’s crazy just like the fight and really shows just how bad the situation has gotten
Power Of NEO and Battle against a True Hero both start the same way. In Pacifist, Undyne and Mettaton are both depicted as villainous (though we later learn that's not true.) In Genocide, however, they are shown to be heroes.
I love how every boss theme perfectly captures the amount of emotion in that fight. Heartache and ASGORE are packed full of raw emotion, whereas songs like Bonetrousle and Death By Glamour, whilst amazing songs, don’t really have those same levels of the feels.
@@griffintgm9467 oh yeah, undoubtedly. I’m just saying that, since Mettaton EX is a fight made more for fun than to further the story, it makes sense that Death by Glamour is just an upbeat, happy, somewhat goofy song, which is indeed perfect for the fight.

Papyrus is a harmless, naive goofball who just really wants friends, and will never try to kill you. so is his fight really gonna feel all that intense? Mettaton just is just a hammy eccentric ghost-robot. Alphys is the more major character of Hotland, and Mettaton is just there to help out her character. he doesn’t even present any morality questions either. (Toriel just wants to protect you, Papyrus is just harmless, and Undyne wants you dead. will you kill them just because it’s the easier way out, or put in the effort to befriend them?) Mettaton doesn’t really present these questions. he loves humanity, and by taking Frisk’s SOUL, he’s insuring that Asgore can’t kill the humans, and he can be a celebrity on the surface. and thats about as deep as it goes.

Battle Against A True Hero and ASGORE are my two favorite boss themes from this game. They are just,,, perfect boss themes. They've got really intense parts of the song that get you pumped, but then had some quieter, almost somber, parts of the song, especially Battle Against A True Hero.
just fighting Undyne the Undying and Mettaton Neo makes you feel those sins crawling on your back - more intensely than the sans fight because that fight's just like "WTF WHY IS HE- HE DODGED?!"
You know, I think I know why Megalovania is so beloved...the boss and end boss themes got this running feeling to them....then there's San's theme. His theme is such a drastic tone shift and I feel it's because at that point you have no chance in turning back
Actually megalovania is you, the player's theme. Notice how sans attacks you first unlike every other boss fight where the player strikes first, yea that means you are the boss. Plus megalomaniac means someone obsessed with their own power, sounds kinda like the player on genocide right?

You're right about evrything there But, Omega/Photoshop Flowey is Pacifist AND Neutral As if you don't know, You can't get True Pacifist at the first time, You have to do pacifist first, defeat Omega/Photoshop Flowey, Spare Flowey, Go back to your SAVE file, go back and then continue the things that will happen because i don't wanna do spoilers to the game. Then at the end you will have to fight Asriel Dreemurr, BUT DON'T HIT IT! It has infinite health so it doesn't count, Just do act hope and dreams everytime
I like how spider dance is here even though muffet has like 2 appearences and is definitely not a "main boss" but the song is so good no one can possibly leave it out.
Yeah I think they made a mistake with Muffet. The song and art and character is too good for her role. She inspire more art and stuff than most of the characters and should probably have had a bigger part. Oh well.
Heard this from another guy a long time ago, but A Megalovaniac means "A person who has an obssessive desire for Power". And who has lust for power in Genocide? You, its not Sans' theme, but yours. Most of the fight in other routes you're the hero, so you hear the monster's theme. But in this case Sans and is the hero while you're the monster.
Even in "Battle Against a True Hero" or "SAVE the world" Undyne isn't fighting against a true Hero, YOU are. Asriel isn't saving the world, YOU are. So Battle Against a True Hero and SAVE the world are your themes too?
@@giovanji7883 same thing could probably be said about Your Best Nightmare, Hopes and Dreams (because Hope and Dream are both options in the ACT menu), and (this is the strangest one I can think of that works) Can You Really Call This A Hotel? For Example I Didn’t Even Get A Mint On My Pillow Or Anything, since it was likely originally a part B to MTT resort (in my opinion) and since you are the one who stays in MTT resort it could only be one of your songs.

I love the two sides of Megalovania, the first half which is the groovy bit fits Sans’s character perfectly, and then the second half when it switches to the heavy metal part it feels like the theme of the genocidal player, and then the beginning melody comes in again with the metal part fading out, not only are Sans and Frisk just regularly battling but it literally sounds like they’re battling within the song too, they’re fighting to have their section of the song lol.

I love the character banners on this video. I always come back to it for them. Definitely the most well-made UT boss theme compilation video. A few of the standard boss themes get cut-off and I personally would have done Asriel last rather than Sans, but other than that this is a near perfect video and Sans being last is almost sort of comedic because it just shows Asriel for his themes, making you forget there's still Sans.

the pacifist run has to be the most heartbreaking run ever, i played through the whole run and when i got to the end, i cried so hard, truly an amazing game.
pacifist has some heartbreaking backstories like how asriel befriended chara, the terrifying way amalgamates were created and how asriel became flowey, i think the only heartbreaking thing in the genocide route is whenn flowey explains his backstory as a flower, how nobody cared about him, no one loved him, and he went on a rampage to show the real meaning of undertale's world, kill or be killed, and also how asriel kind of appears before you kill him.@Martin-rv4vp

Okay serious question. Lets be for real here. If Muffet is here why isn't Dummy here. They literally have the exact same weight and importance in the story. They are unavoidable boss battles for the player but without real overarching influence on the plot.

after all of this years, i still love this game. I wish i can return to the 2015-2017 to relive all of this. And man, hopes and dreams and save the world hit harder as the time passes. What a gem.

The name Heartache really captures Toriel so well. She lost her only two children, then her husband lost himself to his grief-stricken anger. She's seen innocent humans die...and now she's trying so desperately to save another child.
U forgot the other 6 children before Frisk she tried stopping them as well, but failed.
She should have interfered with Asgore’s plan if she hated it that much instead of being disgusted an leaving. She is the queen of the underground so she should have tried to help her people. Instead of that, she put her wants first and left for the ruins. For someone who is concerned for children, she sure is selfish.
@@Taha_A fair, though if she had tried to stop it and failed, asgore would have gone insane trying to understand her motives. Plus, the fallout would have been much bigger within the monster kingdom. Potentially causing a war within monster-kind, with them taking sides between who is right.
I could be wrong, but I always just thought she was there to stop the last human needed from meeting the same fate as the others.

I really love how ASGORE's boss fight scene got some notes of Toriel's Heartache... Kinda like there's a very strong connection, like both of these don't want to fight against you but they "have to do that"

Power Of NEO and Battle against a True Hero both start the same way. In Pacifist, Undyne and Mettaton are both depicted as villainous (though we later learn that's not true.) In Genocide, however, they are shown to be heroes.
all genocide bosses are misunderstood. Even sans, we see him as just a funny lazy skeleton, but we get to learn how he is feeling deep down.
And both have the same leitmoff
But to be honest tho, they are both trying their hardest to kill you, the player, in order to achieve freedom

I love how every boss theme perfectly captures the amount of emotion in that fight. Heartache and ASGORE are packed full of raw emotion, whereas songs like Bonetrousle and Death By Glamour, whilst amazing songs, don’t really have those same levels of the feels.
I think death by glamour fits the situation perfectly, the only way they could improve it is if the fight took place in front of an audience

Mettaton just is just a hammy eccentric ghost-robot. Alphys is the more major character of Hotland, and Mettaton is just there to help out her character. he doesn’t even present any morality questions either.
(Toriel just wants to protect you, Papyrus is just harmless, and Undyne wants you dead. will you kill them just because it’s the easier way out, or put in the effort to befriend them?)
Mettaton doesn’t really present these questions. he loves humanity, and by taking Frisk’s SOUL, he’s insuring that Asgore can’t kill the humans, and he can be a celebrity on the surface. and thats about as deep as it goes.

Battle Against A True Hero and ASGORE are my two favorite boss themes from this game. They are just,,, perfect boss themes. They've got really intense parts of the song that get you pumped, but then had some quieter, almost somber, parts of the song, especially Battle Against A True Hero.
just fighting Undyne the Undying and Mettaton Neo makes you feel those sins crawling on your back - more intensely than the sans fight because that fight's just like "WTF WHY IS HE- HE DODGED?!"

You know, I think I know why Megalovania is so beloved...the boss and end boss themes got this running feeling to them....then there's San's theme. His theme is such a drastic tone shift and I feel it's because at that point you have no chance in turning back
it's also considered one of the hardest fights in the game by many and makes you want to die -
Actually megalovania is you, the player's theme. Notice how sans attacks you first unlike every other boss fight where the player strikes first, yea that means you are the boss. Plus megalomaniac means someone obsessed with their own power, sounds kinda like the player on genocide right?

As if you don't know, You can't get True Pacifist at the first time, You have to do pacifist first, defeat Omega/Photoshop Flowey, Spare Flowey, Go back to your SAVE file, go back and then continue the things that will happen because i don't wanna do spoilers to the game. Then at the end you will have to fight Asriel Dreemurr, BUT DON'T HIT IT! It has infinite health so it doesn't count, Just do act hope and dreams everytime

Yeah I think they made a mistake with Muffet. The song and art and character is too good for her role. She inspire more art and stuff than most of the characters and should probably have had a bigger part. Oh well.

Heard this from another guy a long time ago, but A Megalovaniac means "A person who has an obssessive desire for Power".
And who has lust for power in Genocide? You, its not Sans' theme, but yours. Most of the fight in other routes you're the hero, so you hear the monster's theme. But in this case Sans and is the hero while you're the monster.

@@giovanji7883 same thing could probably be said about Your Best Nightmare, Hopes and Dreams (because Hope and Dream are both options in the ACT menu), and (this is the strangest one I can think of that works) Can You Really Call This A Hotel? For Example I Didn’t Even Get A Mint On My Pillow Or Anything, since it was likely originally a part B to MTT resort (in my opinion) and since you are the one who stays in MTT resort it could only be one of your songs.

I love the two sides of Megalovania, the first half which is the groovy bit fits Sans’s character perfectly, and then the second half when it switches to the heavy metal part it feels like the theme of the genocidal player, and then the beginning melody comes in again with the metal part fading out, not only are Sans and Frisk just regularly battling but it literally sounds like they’re battling within the song too, they’re fighting to have their section of the song lol.

I love the character banners on this video. I always come back to it for them. Definitely the most well-made UT boss theme compilation video.
A few of the standard boss themes get cut-off and I personally would have done Asriel last rather than Sans, but other than that this is a near perfect video and Sans being last is almost sort of comedic because it just shows Asriel for his themes, making you forget there's still Sans.

pacifist has some heartbreaking backstories like how asriel befriended chara, the terrifying way amalgamates were created and how asriel became flowey, i think the only heartbreaking thing in the genocide route is whenn flowey explains his backstory as a flower, how nobody cared about him, no one loved him, and he went on a rampage to show the real meaning of undertale's world, kill or be killed, and also how asriel kind of appears before you kill him.@Martin-rv4vp

Okay serious question. Lets be for real here. If Muffet is here why isn't Dummy here. They literally have the exact same weight and importance in the story. They are unavoidable boss battles for the player but without real overarching influence on the plot.
same with napstablook; but im pretty sure its because muffet and her theme are much more popular than that of the other mini bosses, and uses a different battle gimick, which is similar to most other bosses
