Mate I love your honesty about how 90% of players wouldn’t enjoy the 100zz. Had major shoulder pain with this and had to sell it off
It is true, this is advanced level player rackets. I own 3U and 4U both works for me very well. But you should notes that without a good technique you will find major problems and try to 100ZZ Game or Tour the one below the Pro. It is more forgiving in terms of shafts.
Would Definitely say the 100 ZZ 4U racket is one of my favorite rackets I've owned. I'm an intermediate player that has used head heavy rackets for most of my life (Muscle power 77/99, Armortec 900, Voltric 80/ZF/ZF2, Astrox 88D/100ZZ) with a few Arcsabers in the mix and a Zspeed. I definitely felt shoulder, wrist, and forearm fatigue with most head heavy rackets but a little more with the 100 ZZ. The work around for that is to do weight training, there are tons of functional weight training exercises to prevent strain in the shoulder and forearm. I will say that for defensive and overhead shots felt awkward in the beginning, but it was due to not gaining enough racket head speed for me, after a month on consistent use I was able to get more comfortable overhead clears and smashes. The 100 ZZ is not a forgiving racket due to how stiff the shaft is, but ever since I upped my weight training and refined my technique I was able to get more out of the racket. It's a great racket, but only if you are willing to spend some extra time with it.
Excellent!
I love your reviews they are a extra plus comparing to other reviews and plus I loved the astrox39 that you recommended I bought it after I saw you review and it’s amazing me in every playing
Thank you 🙏🏻
Glad I could help
100% agree with everything you've said. Been using 100zz for quite a while, the arm pain is quite intense after every session. Smashes are... not great. Switched to 88D Pro after this.
bought astrox 39 after your review a year back, still the best racket i ever played with including zz.
Amazing
A quick correction 29 is not max tension it is recommended tension
okay but i have to respectfully disagree. i just bought my astrox 100 zz 4u (bg 66), and as a non-advanced player, I think it is a very easy to use racket. i haven't tried any of the alternative picks on the astrox 100 zz 3u and 4u just like in the video, but if you have some extra cash, i would suggest you trying it. it made smashes easy, clears were easy to reach the backcourt, and the control is amazing. although it's quite pricey, i think it is a worth-to-own racket.
Appreciate your comments Edric - thanks!
I am not getting good clears from the astrox 100 ZZ it's taking lot of efforts to reach to the back though I'm using bg80 power at 28lbs why !? Is the racket like that only ? Or shall i change my strings ?
@@d3or0P yes, if youre still a begginer, i suggest you use bg 66 or bg 66 ultimax. unlike the bg 80, it has a lot of repulsion power which will come in handy for beginners. bg 80 has a low repulsion power but is good for controlling.
@@thatoneverse. Actually not only me but my coach who was national champion he was also feeling lack of power on my ZZ so had to ask. Ok so i shall go for the 66ulm i guess right. Thank you😊
Im a more advanced player, I play since 6 years (Im 13 now) and have the astrox 100 zz in 4u with BG 65 at 28 lbs. I play mens singles competitive in germany and I felt really fine playing with the racket. I would say Im an allrounder, maybe more attack and my smash felt really nice. We have a smash speed mashine at my club and I reached 340 kp/h
I have 100zz 4u. Using it from past 6 months and in absolutely love with it. I play at 25lbs. I agree with u that it is not very fast on drives….but rest all things are quite good for me, especially the smash.
it was shocking for the bashing... First of all, yes it does get time to get used to. BUT.... it will be a great racket when you get used to the racket. yes it is more dedicated towards higher skill level players. But all the terms he mentioned (drives, overhead, etc) about the racket that does not work well is totally wrong. maybe it is not for everybody, but i do feel that those bashing about how bad the racket performs were pretty subjective towards his own opinion. I would say 4u 1000zz is pretty easy to get used to. The head shape took a while to get used to, but the solid feel and accuracy of the shots for this racket is amazing. It is still easier to tame compared to Duora Z-strike. Another note is, you can try to drop 1 lbs on your string tension since it is compact head, and it will feel more comfortable to use.
There is no perfect racket!! The best way to plan to buy a racket is to look for your buddies who have the racket, give it a feel, and decide. Online reviews/scientific datas helps for the types of racket (whether you are inclined to headlight, even balance, or head heavy), and it should not be a parameter to decide whether the rackets are good or bad, whether you should buy it or whether it is a steal or not.
Thanks Erick
Does really the 4U version of ZZ weighs 88gm ? I was thinking it would be like below 85gms with string bg80 at 27lbs , won’t it be ? Or weather it will be weighing 88gm ? I was thinking of to buying this racket the next week but if this weighs the 4U as much as 3U I would rather go for lining range aeronaut 9000i. Can you help me bro ?
I'm a kind of understand on how BRR review rackets. The more user friendly rackets usually will get higher rating. But a harder to use rackets like Astrox 100 zz should be tested for a longer period of time and you will see the difference. But yeah, Astrox 100 zz was even harder to use than Voltric Z Force 2. So its not for majority.
Yes, that what im thinking too when i spent around 2 weeks to see their E Zone..
Majority of badminton players like 90% are in the beginner/intermediate level so I agree with the review.
Thanks for your input. What difference do you think we will find on long term test?
We know we wont be able to satisfy everyone, we understand that - no worries👍
Agreed
been using this one for 6 months daily and just got the new colorway ( Kurenei ). This is a very hard to use racket if you look for precision it need to adapt a lot I train intensively with this racket af only after 3 months ( around 70 days of usage ) I got used to it. very very professional racket. very hard to master racket.
Thats helpful - thanks
Did you found on your very few days(one or two days) of starting of the racket like it wasn’t powerful, clears were lacking ?
@@d3or0P its extra stiff if ur having problems with clears its not the racket ur just not ready for an extra stiff racket its meant for stronger more experienced players
Hello sir! I use this racquet for my singles games. 3u version gives a 25% more powerful smash than 4u. But I do agree that 3u is a little sluggish but 4u is a little less powerful
Cheers Daniel
I am an advance level more defensive doubles player,
Well, I love your reviews mostly agree with you , but in this case I have to disagree.
I used so many good review rackets from BRR including Li-Ning tectonic drive which was categorised as Fast racket then Windstorm 72 which was also supposed to be the fastest, also tried other high end rackets as well but I must say Astrox 100zz is the best racket at the moment , all round racket.
For a head heavy racket I found the defence and drives are better than Tectonic 7 drive. Its all down to technic of play, you cant expect a fast defence if you are holding a 10mm long racket in its base you have to change grips towards the shaft. but with 4u weight this is a monster in smashes and back court clears with back hand clears.
I used to play with Astrox 22 which is the lightest but very fast head heavy racket, I have changed to this and I am loving it.
for best result string it with aerobite/ aerobite boost at 25-28 ( based on your level)
Wish this video came out two weeks ago. Bought the 100zz 4u and I'm experiencing elbow and shoulder pain when I play
Oh man careful - you dont want any long term issues.
@@badmintonracketreview2814 thank you. I have another racket I can use
hold the grip correctly you wont have pains. at the front of the net grip it high up; mid court grip it in the middle; rear court grip it lower and then smash. for back hand smash loosen you grip and use the middle part of the grip. this racket is awesome if you do this not only will the pain go away but you have superb control.
@@kaizaan I was switching my grip position. I know it's a superb racquet but not for me. My strength, technique, etc are too amateur for a racquet like this. Exactly what the video review was saying: for pros, go for it. For the rest, probably not suitable. I appreciate your advice though.
@@kaizaanI second this. You have to know how and when to change grip positions. I see other players only stick to one position while using a pro stick. They would always complain about the racket.
I normally take your advice but on this occasion I do not agree with your condemnation of this racket I use both the 99 and 100 zz and whilst I use both for different matches I find them first class rackets also I am far from being a professional I am a fit 73 year old who plays super vets games Thanks for all your normally objective analysis but not this time cheers
Hey Michael, glad you have a racket that works well for you. Appreciate your comments.
I've this racket. I'm not happy with this racket. Now I want to sell it
Hi, I get the 100zz 4u this week and I just tested it. It 's really great racket. I have also the Jnice Black Panther and in my opinion the zz is better than the Black Panther. I find the zz also easier in over head shots. this time I don't agree with your rating for it
Just found, thankyou 😊
My I have the 100zz (4u) racket for almost a month now... strictly my personal feel, it's somewhat a heavier version apacs featherweight 55... let me explain.
To make this racket shine, you need to use your wrist just as like you would use with a lightweight 8u/7u rackets BUT since the 100zz is a 4u/3u weights... stronger wrist and more developed technique are essential to be able to unleash the 100zz full potential.
Shaft is very stiff. Clear using the 100zz will make your shuttle fly as fast as clear with a zf2. The 100zz smash is sharper than zf2 but sacrifice a bit of raw power.
If anyone are planning to buy this... make sure to dry swing it first... I tested 3 rackets and one of them feel Even-balanced'ish than the other two..BUY THE HEAD-HEAVY FEELING INSTEAD..I got the EB feeling one and I felt that this racket is better HH than EB.
Just sharing my 1 cents opinion.
Awesome - great job!
Great reviews, bought for myself and help other choosing abroz venom, hammerhead, I still have the king k9 and featherweight 55
Even if this racket fell short on BRR, I think i am still going to get the ZZ sooner or later..
Casual player btw... just love trying different rackets.
Do leave a review of your findings
Abroz venom how is it for a intermediate player
@@anilchandran942 Buy it if you are fan of light racket , since its a 6u its not for everyone.. for me Astrox Smash is great alternative to Abrov Venom. Sadly I dont have both of those racket in my bag as I sell them to friends.
azu mkyo thank you
I own one and this racket is magical on the court
Appreciate your input
If i bought astrox 100zz 3u but use lower string (21lb)
Will it be fine for beginner??
If racquet has SP on the shaft is it original 100zz?
Yonex astrox 100zz, Li-ning tectonic 7c and li-ning tectonic 7d.. Which one will you prefer sir?
Havent yet tried the 7c - the 7d for me all day long
I am the big fan of you guys, can you guys test some badminton shoes pls?
Yes coming soon
Plz... review 88D pro and 99pro...
Need to buy after your review
Salute Sir Well Done
but what about the newly released astrox 100 game and tour versions?
We dont have the Astrox 100 game but do have the 88s game
Would it be good for me, (13 year old experencied and good player, I use the astrox 100 zz 4u g5) to change to the 3u version or would it be too heavy (I am physically strong so I don't know)
If you are getting enough repulsion and good smash power from the 4u then dont worry about moving to the 3u and stick to what works for now
Hi, can i have a recommendation for a racket that’s in the 3u weight range that is really good for smashes and can clears easily?
JPX V Edition, Black Panther 3u, Z Force 2 3u
Thank you!
Nice, Review yonex astrox 88 D Pro please
They will be with us soon, however, we wont be allowed to get on court until May
Awesome racket
Could you please please review Ashaway X Phantom X Speed 2?
It's so hard to get rackets from Ashaway to test, we have been trying
Hey man what actualy different beetwen voltric series and astrox series i dont understand. Thank you
I thought Astrox replaced Voltric? Please subscribe to the channel.
Is Nanoflare 700 Is still a good buy in 2021????
Yes for beginner player
@@daniely5260 how can you define beginner and Advanced player???
Its Nice, but there are better rackets available. The Victors we just tested were great.
@@badmintonracketreview2814 Thankyou Sir please suggest From Yonex Line???
Better than Nanoflare 700???
@@badmintonracketreview2814 please suggest Yonex Racket in 4U category that is easy to play and gain a respectable score?????
It is a roast video😂😂
Honestly i have tried all the rakets that he recomend.. No power, just good control..yes.. Very light.. And u tell that all the rackets that u recommend can play singles thats wrong.. U will not win using singles with light racket unless u are kid.. But if u play it with advance player surely u got beat up... For sure u are not experience player.. Your review is just based only what u like.. Or maybe base on ur style of playing.. Man im an experience international player and coach.. U got to have an advice from pros player too.. 100zz is beast.. 3u woven fleet is very good.. But u said 4u good for singles.. Really??? Stop influence wrong advice.. Be a good player first man.. Learn how to win first..stay long on the court and fight better players...u cant be a good math teacher in school if u dont master the formula.. The way u played what i see u are beginner.. How u all people trust this man..ur basics just not right yet and u are teaching people to choose racket?for better playing? ... And u talk like an arrogant bullshit thing.. Well its ur channel.. Thats my 2 cents from a 31 ranked badminton in the world.. Adios
Sorry our opinion upset you so much - the vast majority of players in the world who play the game are not ranked or professionals.
"Ranked number 31 in the world" so who are u again?
@07:10 "This racket is not going to work for the 90% majority of people out there" maybe it's got to do more with your technique rather than the racket itself. If your technique is poor, even a $30 won't work for you.
That's what he's saying. The 100zz is an advanced level racket for advanced level players with good technique. The vast majority of players out there are beginner to intermediate, not advanced level. That's why he doesn't recommend the 100zz to most people. An advanced level player with good technique can make any racket work, even a cheap one.
Sir can you give me this racket
Arcsaber 11 please
will try
5u
I use the ZZ 4U with Yonex Aerosonic.( Tension: 12-12,5kg) I really like how fast I can get the shuttle to the other side. in the defense it is quit slow. especially in doubles you have to stand in the back, there it is really good that it can hit the shuttle at high speed.
Awesome thanks
