    The last thing you want after spending all that time and effort baking a cake, is for the cake to stick to the pan and break when you come to removing it! Recently I've been making my own cake release (also known as cake goop or cake grease) to prepare my cake tins, and it's been working amazingly! It has saved me so much time and money, and my cake layers come out perfect every time! :)
    To make this cake release, all you need to do is combine equal parts of any type of unflavoured vegetable oil, a fat (such as butter or shortening) and all purpose flour. Adjust the quantities based on how much you need, and any excess will keep in the fridge for at least a month :)

    Whoever is thinking or contemplating of making this, please do this right away !! I made this a few weeks ago and I have been using it nonstop , the bakes come out so easily. I have it premade in fridge and I just brush it on, otherwise buttering or greasing the pan was one of my least favourite tasks. For fudgy cakes or like fudgy recipes still like the pan with a bit of paper !!

      are you saying you used something like 2 parts butter and 1 part flour ( instead of using butter+oil+ flour?) I HOPE so, lol, because at my house we don't use veg oil, only butter, so i was going to try using eq. parts butter+ melted butter, + flour for this hack! wish me luck ;) !

    Hey Maryam! I’m going to make a cake for eid only 4 9” layers and I was wondering if I could make the recipe like this
    1/3 cup of softened or melted butter 1/3 cup of vegetable oil and 1/3 cup of all purpose flour. Would that work or do I need to change anything (it’ll be my first time baking so I’m curious)

    • @Dr.A.R.

    I make keto cakes using coconut flour. Can I use coconut or almond flour instead of all-purpose flour? Would it still work?

    • @CakesbyMK
      @CakesbyMK  2 года назад +1

      Hi there! :) Hmmm coconut flour works differently to regular flour, so I think it really depends on the recipe. You can use coconut flour to make cakes, but I wouldn't use it as a direct substitute for all purpose flour. Better to use a recipe that uses coconut flour in it because there will most likely be other adjustments to the recipe to make sure everything works well together :)
