Gonna try these tips tonight. Or rather, my husband is going to try these tips that I made him watch, because he's making my birthday cake for my party tomorrow and he forgot to grease the pan. OH NO!!! But he will try all your tips, and I will let you know if he pulls off the miracle of getting an ungreased cake pan to release a bundt cake once it comes out of the oven. I'm so glad that there are two backup plans. I don't care if it rips, but he will be very disappointed in himself if it does.

I learned how to make bundt cakes with 1 small water glass of sunfower oil. I never had a cake stick until I stopped using sunflower oil as an ingredient. But before and after sfo, I always buttred my pan.....with butter.
Btw: I subbed 1/2 glass milk & 1 glass water for the oil. First time I did that my cake was way better than I had ever made it with oil. 2nd time it seemed a tad rubbery to the pallet but still had a beautiful flavor.

If you use a spray with starch, use a pastry brush to spread it evenly just prior to adding the batter. If you use butter, lay it on thick with a pastry brush, then dust the pan with dry bread crumbs instead of flour--it works brilliantly and makes an extremely nice crust, to boot.

So I bought the Cusinart pan you recommended from Amazon. It’s the same width as my ‘ original Bundt ‘ pan, but the Cusinart you recommended is a bit shorter. So I compared the volume of the two. Cusinart 11.75 cups and Bundt 14.5 cups. Not a problem but some recipes may have enough batter to overflow the smaller Cusinart pan when baking. ( You can probably tell I’m an engineer and baking is a hobby. )
Also interesting, in the few days since I got my pan, Amazon has completely removed the page for this item.

How I get my Bundt cakes to come out... Cool for 15 minutes, then place whole pan in shallow sink of cold water (not allowing any onto cake) and lift out and dry off pan quick. Pan will now be cool enough to grab. Place your hand over top of cake and turn over gently and sort of shake pan and rotate, shake pan and rotate, all the way around... don't let cake come out on your hand just feel it losen. Then place plate over open end and flip over. Or flip over on cake keeper etc. And yes grease the pan with shortening. (Before you bake cake.) Just grease with cold shortening on your hand, you don't need to melt it. Perfect results for me!

Make cake goop. Equal parts by volume of vegetable shortening softened (not melted!), vegetable oil and flour. Mix till smooth and apply thinly with a brush. Foolproof for the most intricate Nordicware pans. Also cooling for 10 min before removing cake from pan. No more no less. I just did this on my new gingerbread village molds and every detail is perfect on the cakes! Keep the goop in the fridge and soften before use next time

I would get in there really thoroughly with a pastry brush + melted shortening!

Haha! I haven't tried this yet, but melted coconut oil might do the trick too!
