This Easy Lemon Bundt Cake Recipe is light, moist and full of fresh lemon flavor. It’s topped with a homemade lemon glaze really takes this cake to the next level. So delicious. You need to make one.
Ingredients!
For Cake
1cup (227g) salted butter, softened
1 cup(200g)sugar
4 large eggs
1tsp vanilla
2tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 cup(237g) whole milk
2cup(250g) all purpose flour
1tbsp baking powder
For sugar syrup
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
For glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2tbsp lemon juice
oven temp350F
Bake 45-50 minutes
9 inch Bundt pan

I know this a bit late but if you were thinking about making this cake go ahead
When ur making the batter it does cuddle and look like cottage cheese but when u add the dry ingredients it looks normal
And personally I would say to use the whole amount of the syrup because I didn't put that much and it tastes fine but the glaze helps it be more moist and adds extra lemon flavor since there isn't that much lemon in the cake itself.
And the glaze make u u use powdered sugar I tried granulated sugar (caster sugar) And the texture if the grain if there
All in all I think recepie is great and is so easy

I baked this cake today. I had a 7” tin, so I made cupcakes out of the remaining batter. And oh my god, these came out SO PERFECT. Such a tangy lemony flavour blended with the sweetness. I absolutely loved them. Thank you so much for this recipe.🧡
Ps. Your batter WILL get a little lumpy once you add the milk. It WILL look like some watery cottage cheese. But don’t worry, just add the dry ingredients. Follow the process and trust the recipe. It will come out amazingly good. 🥰

Use a hand mixer for a few seconds if you have one the lumps would be no more, got an even textured cake 👌

I don't whole milk. Only 2%
I used this recipe split the batter it in 1/2 (since I had 2 loaf pans). One love was vanilla yellow and the second was the lemon with glaze. Yummy and moist!!

Love the recipe! I'm wondering if I can substitute the lemon zest and juice for carrot, its juice and the rest of spices? I love carrot bundt cake but I'd very much prefer making it without oil and baking soda, because I can't get it to work. So, would there be a problem if I make it butter and milk based, like in this recipe?
It’s in the oven now. The only thing I did differently was I put a handful of pecans in the bottom of the bunt pan. Can’t Waite till it’s done.

Hi, so I really liked your cake. I also liked that it seemed easy. I did want to ask a couple of questions. I have unsalted butter so how much salt should I put in, and I don't have a wire rack but how long did you wait until you took it out of the bundt pan?
Hi! you can use 1/2 teaspoon of salt if you are using unsalted butter. Let it cool 15-20 mins in the pan before turning it out.

My cake is in the oven right now. I'm scared though, because while I was mixing my eggs into the sugar and butter (I was carefully doing one by one) it started to separate. Then when I added the milk, it looked super chunky! Like watery cottage cheese. Once I added the dry ingredients, it looked okay but still a little lumpy (not smooth) will it come out ok? Did I do something wrong? I'll probably be done with the cake before you respond but I'd thought I would comment anyway.

Are you sure you only used a half a cup of the sweet sugar for the glaze. That sure looks like a lot that you’re pouring on top of the cake

I'm so sorry to hear that! Did you use room temperature eggs and milk? Maybe try adding dry ingredients first and milk at the very last.
I made the cake.
The cake itself was amazin.
But the glaze was not good.
It crystallized on the cake and that wasn't really good tbh.
Maybe you can omit it or substitute it for lemon cream cheese glaze.

I MADE AN OLE FASHION LEMON GLAZE POUND CAKE LIKE MY GRT GRANNY AND GRANNY USED TO MAKE , BY COOKING THE GLAZE ON THE STOVE AND OH MY GOODNES LETTING IT SOAK AND SET INTO THE CRUST OF THE CAKE. LAWD HAVE MERCY YOU TALKING BOUT SOMETHING GOOD... MAKE YOU WANNA SLAP YO MAMA...LOL
Let the cake cool completely before adding the glaze. Otherwise the glaze will melt.
I just tried to make this and after I put the milk in with the lemon juice it looks like a whole wad of cottage cheese in there like the lemon juice curdled my milk and ruined everything in there! 😡
You should continue mixing it..it's suppose to curdle..it will settled down after you will put flour in it.
@@FullKitchen yours didn’t look like it had curdled and I got so upset that I threw everything down the sink. You might want to put that little bit of information in your instructions.
I made this cake and it totally flopped. It didn't cook the whole way through, and when I turned it out, it poured all over like a puddle of wet batter.
i don't know what i did wrong - but came out horrible and undercooked and as liberally as i buttered and floured the pan it would not come out - the batter did not look like yours either - weird
Oh no! How long did you bake it? Did you check it with the toothpick to see it's done or not? Depending on you oven it may require some extra baking time

My mixture was rather runny also. I thought maybe I should add more flour but I didn't want to mess up the flavor, so I didn't. It's in the oven right now. Keeping my fingers crossed 🙏

A little disappointed in this recipe 😕 it needs more sugar the cake is not sweet enough for me
So what’s the catch. Only use a hand mixer? I used my kitchenAid mixer and it was an epic fail. and I know what I’m doing, baking was my livelihood for many years. I had to throw all my ingredients out. Eggs included and they are a fortune 🥚💰😩

This recipe did not turn out well for me. The texture of the cake is very coarse. When I was putting it in the pan I noticed the mixture was very lumpy despite following the directions exactly. Overall taste was nothing special. The Martha Stewart cake is much better.
That cake looks spoongie and dry don't see any moisture in it.
