I would have to disagree. There are cars that are 40, 50, 60 years old that look far better. This is my opinion but 1950 - 1971 had the best looking cars. Shelby cobra, Eleanor, 1971 cuda, even cars made over seas looked better. I personal favorite car would have to be a 1967 Chevy Impala 4 door in either a light blue, black, or a very deep blue.

It's incredible the fact that what Jeremy called "polverizing 3.8 secs" on a supercar is now a loooong time compared to nowadays supercars that do 0-60 in less than 3 secs
The biggest factor here is launch control and the fact that tires got better in last years. Take a rolling start and the car is mental. It's pulling power still hangs with a lot of modern supercars, the ones who have 0-60 times of lows 3's even sub 3's.

I'm buying a MkV supra for this very reason. They are very underrrated and I just know they will be highly sought after in the future. I'm not going to modify mine and keep it 100% stock except for maybe a sound system upgrade.

I have only driven SLS AMG, and it was a pretty nice car. I can only imagine how great the SLR is. I have no trouble believing SLR McLaren is one of the finest pieces of automotive engineering ever made! I'd love to drive one someday...

Great review this is when I first was really getting in to Top Gear. The part with the braking in the cones at 120 was the part that made an impression on me and from there on I knew this car was going to be a legend.

I have wanted one of these ever since I was a teen. The Oslo trip sold me. The day I get my hands on one of the couple thousand that were made, I will finally know I have accomplished everything else in life, because that will be the crowning achievement.
Slr is really a smooth car. The good thing is you can enjoy long comfortable trips,and also beat most cars racing:) if you have the money to buy it, why not:)
The most impressive thing about a car that is this powerful and fast is that it´s still easy to drive when you don´t want to go fast. Unlike many other super cars where they´ve lost too much weight at the cost of noise, and a clutch that´s not that easy to handle. It´s not hard to build a fast car, but to build a car like this takes some real skill.
The problem with cars like this, is they'll only enjoy lower prices for a while, the prices then start going up as they get older. So grab one while the price is low. :P

Supercharged V8, can hear the motor scream along with the blower. Not muffled like turbo motors. And I love how the mufflers are in the front fenders of this beast. And that long hood. Just absolute sexiness. 💪👍😍

I remember when they started the engine everybody stopped what they were doing to see what was going on. hell, I used to have this car's pamphlet on my bedroom wall like a poster. 17 years later and this is still a dream of a car

Dear god i remember seeing this car in the flesh at the 2004 São Paulo Auto Show. I remember when they started the engine everybody stopped what they were doing to see what was going on. hell, I used to have this car's pamphlet on my bedroom wall like a poster. 17 years later and this is still a dream of a car
