Wasn’t that impressed on first listen.. then found myself singing it to myself.. had a few more listens.. now its one of their better tracks 😅 love manics
Finally got to see them in the US alongside Suede (two off the bucket list at once!) and while their setlist wasn't what I had hoped for, especially in comparison to the other act, their energy and enthusiasm was fully intact. They may have softened edges these days but I am surprised these guys can still deliver like that. Certainly helps to have one of the slickest drummers in the biz.
Really enjoyed this performance. Shout out to the killer keys work of Nick Naysmyth. As for the "fans" stating they should stop - why dont you listen to something else and let those of us who genuinely love the Manics and still do enjoy what they produce? No one is forcing you to listen or watch.
Naysmyth and Warren brings a complete sound to the trio now. And Thats right. You cannot be wearing fatigues and churning out Die In The Summertime for every single year. I love the Manics for what they were and what they are now. You guys aged gracefully and keep on making great music. Thank you. From a fan of over 30 years.
I don't think they should STOP. But the new singles sound like they could have come from either of the last two albums. They've never done three albums _in a row_ that all sound the same before. It's just a bit disappointing. So I hope the new album is a bit more varied. And not Resistance is Futile part 3.... There's nothing wrong with the last two albums. They're just a bit safe and I am missing the edgy MSP.
@@DavidOakesMusicThere's only so many times you can re-invent the wheel. I'm sure if they did something crazy different people (not necessarily you) would be complaining about THAT too.
Still not a massive fan of this track, but it does seem to sound a lot better as a live track for some reason. Perhaps benefits from the guitars being louder in the mix vs the synths?
Same here - Postcards is my favorite of their journey's latter half, the former being GAtS, but the band was disappointed with that release in the end and will sadly probably never go back to that style. I'll take what I can get!
@@Linesider1 Interesting! This is the first time I noticed, but of course I wasn't watching every video in the last years and I haven't seen them live for a long time.
Guys pls leave these soft songs to some boys pop band. Play real rockenroll, return to punk and hard core roots. I know that youre mature, but Deep purple are also and they issued in 2024 such a great hard rock album.
Creative ?! It seems your really young pop rockenroller. I listened to MSP from 1992 when they issued Motorcycle Emptiness. This was creative. Or Roses in the hospital, or This is yesterday...This one sucks.

This is just a masterpiece. Such a present to us fans who have been with them for years. It's music for dads who weren't dads in the 90s.

Heard this for the first time at Ally Pally on the Manics tour in July. Instantly loved it, even after all these years the Manics have still got it
I was there too but it wasn't on the setlist. Did they do it during soundcheck?
The most important thing is after years they still enjoy and are happy together while making and playing..And still rocks.
The Manics are like a fine wine. Each song gets better and better. Bravo from Milwaukee, WISCONSIN

Amazing drumming from Sean as usual.
I can really relate to this song.Totally love it ❤✌️
Great song great performance,it's even better live.Love from Greece.
i just love them - they're still so grounded. Like the college band i wish we could have been :)
Absolute tune! Again, the boys deliver 🏴
Nicky’s smile throughout this ❤️❤️❤️

That build up before the final chorus, very Autumn Song!
Dad trainers killing it in 2024... love the Manics !!!!
Piel de gallina, Legends, returns!!

Can't wait to hear this live ❤
Almost sounded like the old Roland CR78 intro to Enola Gay at the very start..... I'll have to go back and listen to it again to make sure, LOLZ.
yep think your right there
Yes I thought that too
Best song they’ve released in a while, excited for the new album 🔥
That Petrol Emotion sample at the very start (Creeping to the Cross)
Yeah! I heard that and had to rewind to make sure I hadn't imagined it
And OMD?
Wow awesome I love the sound all the from 🇨🇦

No auto facking tune needed here. Still absolutely great.
Best ones!
Best song of the two. That guitar 🎸.
Brilliant ❤🎉
So Beautiful and so Wonderful, for me a Little bit of The Beatles and John Lennon. But that's super good.🥰🥰❤👍👍👍
Fantastic band, is this song on an album, if so i shall buy.

Saw them at Austin City Limits with Suede. What a show.

What happened to Jools Holland's studio?
I also hate the vibe (or rather lack of) of this tasteless theatre. It reminds me of a heavily relic-ed guitar or something.
Moved out of Television Centre, then to Ashford in Kent and then moved out of there to Alexandra Palace.
@stevem-h3562 😦
James has the most amazing delivery
like it better live.
I really hope this album is more like Postcards From A Young Man and less like the last two albums.

I can.
Wonder where they're from ...
I really wish the studio version had this guitar sound. I absolutely love the manics but decline and fall is really poor but it sounds great live
Who is the extra guitarist who also played bass on Hiding In Plain Sight?
Wayne Murray , rhythm guitar 🎸
He ads some extra oomph!
This show used to be exciting delivering bands and sounds, now it is just an upgraded version of Top of The Pops… such a shame.
Is that their original drummer?
yes, shaved his head and grew a beard but it's still Sean
