Pure class and don’t forget the driving power of the drums and the beautiful orchestral arrangement make this song one of the most underrated songs ever
Just saw them at Cardiff Castle. Lived in England all my life welsh parents. Manics are my little bit of my history. Every time it takes me back to my grandads pit Abertillery. We move on and enjoy a better life but God bless these boys for giving us the reflection we need.
I think it may not be beyond reasonability to say the Manics are the greatest UK band to come out of the 90s, even better than Radiohead. Because, not only did they reinvent themselves during that time several times over, their output over the following decades has consistently been excellent. And this song is their masterpiece. They haven't lost their relevance, or become a nostalgia act.
My country flag on his chest!! I'm surprised 17 years later of had being in Cuba. I love this band, thanks United Kingdom for have this kind of jewels!!!
Probably one of the oldest CDs in my collection. Without checking, i must've bought it in the early to mid 90's but i still dig it out for a listen when i'm struggling for something i still like. These guys are the real McCoy.
Was fortunate enough to see them in Auckland on their 'Send Away the Lions' tour in 2013. The best live performance I have ever enjoyed (sorry, even eclipsed Queen at St James Park!). This is an absolutely outstanding performance of an outstanding track from an outstanding album.
Here's my theory; There's nothing wrong with the arrangement or the performance. It's the Manics, it's top notch. It's the Studio. I don't know what it is about the Maidstone Studios, but it just made everything sound flat.
I’d love to go see them in Oslo, or any Nordic country for that matter. Something special about seeing a band you love there, I saw rhcp in Finland in 2017, amazing experience . I’m from Ireland but seeing a band abroad is part of the adventure
3:15 I'm always impressed how a 5'5'' dude who looks like my plumber can spin with such balletic grace. How does he not get completely tangled in his guitar cable? It's genuinely beautiful to watch.
Incredible songwriting. Even just the basic guitar chord progression. I think this is the first song they wrote and released after Richie's disappearance, there's a great story behind it.
Wait... how come there is no confetti? 😄 Anyway, a great performance of a legendary song! Glad to see that JDB is still capable of turning into a human tornado despite his age.
I'd love to hear a remixed version of this song with the guitar riff volume much much louder. This is truly a fantastic song that never received proper US recognition. Bravo.
As part of the BRitish ambassadors close protection team to Algiers in 96, I bored everyone silly with this album. By the end of my tour even the Americans knew it.
They're not as rich as you might think. They give a lot of money to charity but they don't do it for publicity and most of it is undisclosed or anonymous. One thing I know is they brought a shipment of guitars with them to Cuba and gave them away to local children. They each have a decent amount of money to live comfortably but not lavishly, and Richey's share still goes into an account in his name.
Love Nicky Wire, it's like a glam ostrich has escaped onto the stage.
brilliant performance, when you sound this good, you can do whatever you want on stage
Brilliant
Perfect description ❤️
I love this Comment 😁
Hahaha really 😁
still has some of the THE best lyrics of all time.
Pure class and don’t forget the driving power of the drums and the beautiful orchestral arrangement make this song one of the most underrated songs ever
Who underrates it?!
Yes class is the issue ;)
3:12 even after 25 years to see a song still have this joyous effect is brilliant...timeless, timeless 😍😍

After all these years! They still sound amazing!

Definitely the most important band of the last 30 odd years ... the lyrics stand up now more than ever especially since the past 4 years ❤
agreed
My country flag on his chest!! I'm surprised 17 years later of had being in Cuba. I love this band, thanks United Kingdom for have this kind of jewels!!!
Great song, great band, James is still a great singer even after all these years

One of the most underrated bands of all time. Been to see them a few times and are still the best live band I’ve ever seen
All Round Phenomenal Band...
Don't get the negativity, this is a brilliant version, the extra guitars really add to the song! Full of energy, absolutely love it.

JDB sounds great. The extra guitars add an extra layer to the sound. Giving it a fuller sound. I like it
Seen TMSP a few years ago live in Oslo, they opened up with motorcycle emptiness and i almost cried, what an incredible night 💚
I’d love to go see them in Oslo, or any Nordic country for that matter. Something special about seeing a band you love there, I saw rhcp in Finland in 2017, amazing experience . I’m from Ireland but seeing a band abroad is part of the adventure

Libraries gave us power!!
James is 50 in 13 days !!!! Guitar Hero ? Oh yes sir def for me...love you Bradders.
Nicky Wire in particular but the Manic’s have always been the epitome of “Don’t be afraid to be you”
Incredible songwriting. Even just the basic guitar chord progression. I think this is the first song they wrote and released after Richie's disappearance, there's a great story behind it.
Vocal sound fantastic.
Bravo!

Anyway, a great performance of a legendary song! Glad to see that JDB is still capable of turning into a human tornado despite his age.
From kota Bharu kelantan Malaysia with love...

Great intro that goes right to the end love it
Best version ever. Crikey . Bit of a manics trainspotter and that's so fkn good .

Love watching Nicky dancing.
When I'm on my death bed and a voice in my head says "this is the end" I'll know I had a design for life
U have just made my day N made me laugh I think ill be doing the same lol 👀🇬🇧❤️💋🆗😇👻👀❤️🇬🇧👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👀
My wife knows that, when I pass away, this is my 'celebration of life' song.
Los quiero en Chile... en Viña sería un sueño
The band right in the moment
Brilliant
The greatest 3 opening lines to a song ever written
I'd love to hear a remixed version of this song with the guitar riff volume much much louder. This is truly a fantastic song that never received proper US recognition. Bravo.
Have you heard james' acoustic version of this song? Amazing.
Also his acoustic version of Faster is on another level.
por favor, gira por sud-américa pronto, Chile los espera.
The true anthem of the 90’s , any decade for that matter
Amazing 😉
Nicky Wire... Rock God...!!

Richey got himself some nice red boots & guitar lessons for this one
Underrated song
3 guitar players. EPIC
Is there not 4? Lol
Come on kids, this is the dog's bollocks. Outstanding performance, stunning song.
As part of the BRitish ambassadors close protection team to Algiers in 96, I bored everyone silly with this album. By the end of my tour even the Americans knew it.
they sound the sameeeeeeeeee ahhhhh
The greatest band in the world
♥ ♥ ♥ Wales finest ♥ ♥ ♥
This is an Anthem......those of us that heard it in the old days know what I mean.
We don't talk about love!
We only wanna get drunk!
🍺🍺🍺
JDB looks like he should be the manager of your local supermarket!
I bet your local supermarket manager doesn't write songs like this.
Should have got the "Golden Buzzer" 😜
sounds good with the extra guitars, his voice is back
Even though these guys are all rich as hell, this is still the greatest working class anthem since Joe Hill.
They're not as rich as you might think. They give a lot of money to charity but they don't do it for publicity and most of it is undisclosed or anonymous. La lute continue!
still got it
❤❤❤❤
Sean’s put on some timber bless him.
They still jump around a lot not bad for 50 somethings
They're all 49. First one of them hits 50 in a month and a half.
Richey turned 50 3 days prior to Christmas
Godfrey Ulex was he on stage in this video?
yeah then recover for months, years
Hey, I still jump up and down at the front of the concerts I go to. 50 is the new 30!
Clássico fantástico. Magníficos
you special sing roberth smith
Great. Still full of energy and life. Don't trip over that bass cable Nicky wire.
I wish I had a bottle...
To play edinburgh usher hall 2019 26th may .. can't wait for a bouncing Gig
Their design for life.
100% right, singing about south wales but Scotland and north of England can also relate to this song.
That wasn't the point I was making. Nevermind.
Could someone explain why James has the Cuban and Spanish flags on his shirt? There also another flag...
❤️💋
Still got it LIVE 😁
When did they start using two extra guitarists instead of the one?
Is it true they still set up a mic for Richey? I don’t see one.
Are they Welsh?
TWO backing guitarists ?!
Anyone knows what's the link between the Manics and the Belgian flag on James' shirt ?
I see a Cuban and a Spanish one.
Which arm did you see it on?
@@Sidneyyoungblood75 Right arm...
Where has 22 years gone??
where is the snare?
