High Quality! Видеоклипы
Damn! Here we are in 2023! How prophetic is this?
that has got to be one of the best live vocal performances ive ever seen
James is one of those rare vocalists who I'm fairly convinced that his tech could turn his mic off mid song and nobody would notice anything other than an improvement in tone.
This song is more relevant now than ever in 2020!
The Spanish Civil War?
@@adetrythall Nothing to do with Spanish Civil War. Everything to do with the infringement of personal rights, freedom, and children's well-being and safety.
@@martincstee5335 well said
definitely
No surrender to the NWO and big pharma
How did Nikki Wire foresee the future when he wrote this song 25 years ago…absolute legend of a songwriter…xx
History. Since the the dawn of man one group of people will try to dominate and control another. We call them fascists. Unlike Wikipedia's version of Fascism, fascists have no allegiance to any particular party. Their allegiance is to authoritarian control. First they take your means of self-defense, then they take your freedom, lastly they take your life. Rinse and repeat.
This is the sound track like no other. What a vocal. James never disappoints. Ready for drowning is amazing. This is my truth tell me yours is one of the greatest albums ever. Urban hymns has the same beauty to it. 2 bands with 2 genius songwriting front men. I was 18 when these where released. The glory days
I wish we would heeded these warnings, now we are living it. They were absolutely correct.
James Dean Bradfield is a living legend. Pure gold
YEAH, Yeah... 🌺
and a good man also
I agree mate
Super only so
Yes, I like him a lot. I found out about the band a little while ago and I'm already a huge fan!
This song has got so much meaning again over the few weeks....
Well from what side were tolerating our governements in Europe deciding to cut our oil and gas supplies sending many families into poverty that's the bit we shouldn't be tolerating
So relevant in these lost freedom days. How much more will each of us tolerate from our servants. Cheers.
Don't make us a theme song for not wearing your goddamn mask where your goddamn masks you jerko
@@kaydaw24 You're an idiot.. wake up
so relevant now... If we tolerate the tories any longer not sure we'll ever come back from it.
Really are we really living in a Spanish Civil War scenario under the Tories? You absolute Fkwhitted Cnut
They are so bloody good live, as I found out at a concert of theirs in 2002 in Plymouth, with my good friend Jaki, who died in 2018. I miss you Jak, God bless you always x
I hope to see them in the near future.
Sorry for your loss!! I was at that gig too! Great memories x
@@user-vh6ts9uf6c Do you remember Ian Brown was supporting them and I was bemused of his version of Billie Jean x
@@simonwilliams1238 Blimey I had completely forgotten about that. He was pretty awful. One of the gigs (I think it was Cardiff) someone threw a banana at him and he came down to the audience to shout at the thrower!!!
I followed them round for that tour quite a bit. Amazing times.
The Time is now, they're coming for our children.
Music would not be the same without this band. The way Richie, Sean, James and Nicky write/wrote cannot be replicated ... they're geniuses within the music industry. I hope they carry on writing and producing for years to come. I hope to see them live soon...
Great band. To be fair it was Dylan who did this 60 years earlier and said it before. So not quite right to say then pop song couldn’t have been political without the Manics.
Watching from Queensland Australia .
This song gives me goosebumps , back when it came out and still now all these years later .
Very prophetic indeed 🎶
Wow! That bass sound is awesome
Yep, finally enjoying his tone.
Love how James and Nicky are positioned on that stage, to the right of James, respectfully keeping that space open for Richey....
such a strong silent respectful statement..hope he’s alright wherever he may be..
Love that they haven't replaced him with a new guitarist (apart from the session one) as some other bands do. Much respect 💙
This group just lives a few miles from me and stereophonic lives in the other valley from me just over the mountain and I used to bump into late Stewart Cable and he always said hi when we passed by 🏴
Good grief this is gold. Nicky's bass sounds ferocious. Not usually a fan of TV live spots. Regardless. This is phenomenal.
@goodywagon here we can hear the bass loud and clear
You stole the sun from my heart. Brilliant song ....
fantastic song. nearly 20 years later and its just as good as the day it was released. Timeless
Truly timeless, indeed.
How many great riffs have come out James’s les Paul. Awesome
Done a deep dive into protest sings and I'm glad
I found this! It's a great song!
Check out Bob Dylan the master
best bass sound i have heard
hiephoi058 You’re really fucking right, really.
That sounds phat!! Love it
you'd never heard of Paul Young's whatever I lay my hat.
check this sound

Muse - hysteria, please listen to it
James voice was so clean and clear in this era
2021…….. we did and here we are
After 22years, still one of best song ever!
I remember staying up late especially to tape this. I can't actually believe this was over 13 years and I still get that same sense of childlike excitement I got when I was 12. JDB has one of, if not, the best voices in music I have ever heard :)
jennifer reid where are you from Miss Reid?
I can't believe it's over 23 years now!
2022 calling...are you still a fan these days Jennifer....?
One of the greatest guitar intros.
This song will always be great!
I hope he is the proudest man..... for giving us that total gem......
Your comment is the best. It describes what many of us thinks about this amazing song. Thanks
ahh, thanks man...united in music!
yeah :)
Amazing guys. So common, and still so very very special. It is untimely. As a drummer I just love to see Sean performing with a casual smile 😊
Great performance. Sound guys got it so right. That bass sound is incredible.
This song holds a lot of sad memories for me, evrytime I listen it makes me want to cry.
One of my favourite songs regardless of the memories it brings up - I fell in love with this song when I was about 8
One of the greatest songs ever for me!!! Really love this stuff!!!
its a great song indeed so is A DESIGN FOR LIFE and motorcycle emptiness
They weren't wrong, were they?
No. Sadly no.
Ahead of the game
Never a truer word
Hopefully the kids will have more backbone than their stupid fucking parents, and consign the tory scum to the political toilet where they belong.
this song is a vision
Love wires bass sound on this
It's excellent isn't it.That's the Fender Jazz bass sound.Guy in my band gets the exact same sound with one.Love it.
braddersthemod Lovewire
NEVER tolerate anything bad for your children 😡
pop rock formula at its best. great song , underrated band
Couldn't agree more
great voice
Messaggio molto importante, valido anche per i giorni nostri, che band fantastica, spero che presto si presentano anche in tuor da noi Italiani
Bella melodia, però se analizziamo il contenuto delle parole è proprio un urlo chiaro.
NO PASARAN !!!!
unless your a direct descendant to spanish, this song has no relevance to you/........ then again italy was a fascist state
Music and The Music Industry are very different things.
amazing song, i remember when it was a #1 hit single
it was? Thanks Heavens for that....it came on my car radio last week for the first time...I nearly had to pull over...
had the distinction of being the longest-titled Number 1 hit single of all time.
Probably my favourite version of this song. The guitar sounds incredibly raw, it adds a level of anger not seen on the studio version in my opinion.
There is a video to this song that gives me goosebumps, but I agree very crisp audio quality, love Jools Holand and James Dean Bradfield !!!!
Can’t even hear the guitar until the solo starts
Manics have nailed every single live performance on jools holland ❤
Hoe actueel nu in deze tijd... 👍❤️😍
24 years ago... Wow. I remember watching this. Great album. Good times
Riascoltato oggi su radio deejay. Anche nel 2021 resta un pezzo della madonna
These guys are tremendous!
Fantastic performance 👏
Saw them first 92 in a small club in Germany and a couple of times later. Really mindblowing. One of the most underrated fantastic bands. Looking forward to see the next concert. 🤘
Just listen to that bass excellent
90 years later and we're all gearing up for another spin in the fascist carrousel. And no one gives a shit, same as before.
This is such an intelligent piece of music.
Well , this guy sure knows how to sing.
So true for today
What a voice
Best Drum and Bass..🤩🤩
Agree 100% has made me want to start drum lessons again after listening to this over and over and over and over ……
A voice that cut steel!
One of the greatest songs of all time! Such an underrated band, goodness..
Simply timeless
If you tolerate this then your children will be next
Without a doubt the best performance they’ve ever done of this track!!sound is amazing!!
Years have passed and now I realized that this song is about the same war where the Adagio from Concierto de Aranjuez was based. Such sorrow. So much sorrow.
massively underrated tune...
This content is culturally significant. Posting it on RUclips will ensure that future generations will have access to it and appreciate it. Thank you for sharing it.
Going back to this song. Says it all for the times we live in currently. If you bend to the governments will...what will they demand of your children?.
Demand of keeping their disgraceful faces covered with a covering.
Demand to inject genetically modified organisms right into their arms.
Demand to kneel down. Bow down. And stay home on Sundays.
@@justinturner4681 that's what they demand of you, from your children they won't demand anything because there will not be anyone (arn-messenger injection does it's job).
All those years ago they were my favorite I love this song...so very much
What a performance!!!😊❤️🏴👍🏻
Stunning!
my fave manics song, still applys today with whats going on
Would definitely go and see the Manics live
"During the first two months of the war it was the Anarchists more than anyone else who had saved the situation, and much later than this the Anarchist militia, in spite of their indiscipline, were notoriously the best fighters among the purely Spanish forces." George Orwell - Homage to Catalonia page 62. Let's not forget that there was a Spanish Revolution within the Spanish Civil War. Viva Durruti!
All power to the councils!
fantastic
The song sounds so alive, a brilliant performance
Pure class.
What a song! What a band!
What a song .... ! Sung and played with so much emotion
What a great sound. I love this.
'98-2021...omg. Greetings from Germany ✌️
great live performance, perfect!
Excellent, just love it, always have, always will.
I don't think they meant to have the bass that loud, but I'm sure glad they did!
para mi esta perfecto...hermoso
man what a FANTASTIC singer
This song is 2022 in a nutshell. One of my all time favorites.
We were a country of song, of melody, for such a short but beautiful time…
Love the deep base. Great version of a monster song.
The dam bass after 3 min is just amazing
GREAT BAND GREAT MUSIC
We are all tolerating this and leaving our children to be exploited, lied to and financially screwed. When will the working classes show some guts and say "We've had enough of this? RISE.
absolutely awesome, manics at there best, 2.27 minutes in is just the best guitar sounds ever
nicky wires bass sounding great
For the first time
@@ricardojmestre hahaha. his songwriting makes up for it
It's sooo dawned on me why I loved this song. Coz of the sound setups on the bass and the Hammond, it really sounds like this song crossed with "The Only One I Know" by The Charlatans. Just a brilliant 4 minutes :)
Superb song I love it
Damn this is wonderfull! Great performance.
one of my favourite song EVER ★★★★★
Love
Thanks for uploading, I love this song.
What a voice.
My first ever gig was these guys on this tour, June 1999. A few months later I bought my first drum kit. Good memories!
