I've had my eyes on these. I like the fact that the grip length is kinda dependent on the magwell, so you can have a 19x style gun with the compact, or you can have a 19 sized gun.

Shame your trigger is so sloppy. The one in my compact is very crisp, almost zero creep at all. And my slide to frame fit feels like a hand fit custom, I’m very impressed with it.

Nice video. I like these guns. I think they could use a little refinement for the price. The grips could look a little more premium. Very good review.

Have the rmr plate milled down then the sro will fit. I did and got the rmr hd on mine

      I thought about doing that!
      How did it come out?

Worked out good. I've asked OA if they can re-engineer that plate for those who want to run a sro or hd. Iwould think that the competition crowd would love to run a sro on their 2311

@@TheGentlemanGunner I’ve seen other reviews say they don’t, could you confirm on your 1,000 round update by showing it and possibly with the supplied suppressor height front sight if possible, thanks.

@@dt7037 so, I won’t be doing a follow up video to this gun… however, I did reach out to the owner and presented your question…
“Yea barley (referring to the shorter front sights and using a Holosun 507 Comp)
You only use the front sight (taller sight) with the delta point Pro plate that has the raised rear sight.”
I apologize, I recall them being “sufficient” for me but I didn’t have the footage when I put on the 507 used in this video to verify. I figured asking the owner (whom shoots this quite often) is a better answer regardless.

How does this compare to the Prodigy? Would love to see a comparison.

I might considerate doing that video!
Just quick thoughts… the 2311’s focus on duty is what makes it standout. QC and durability are a step higher. Ergos are what sets the two apart as the 2311 has way more contact points and support to get a solid grip.
The Prodigy has the edge in the shooting experience… softer, flatter and wins in accuracy. As this gun as truly based on the widespread design of a 1911/2011… aftermarket is robust and the tuning potential is there to make it on par with other higher price point guns out there in terms of performance

    • @808G8GT

I don't think the prodigy is in the same class. Prodigy is considered an "entry level" 1911/ 2011
Oracle arms would probably compete against The Platypus, Staccato P, Bul armory SAS TAC II, etc. type of firearms.

My only issue is the co witness setup was designed horribly!!! The front set is either too low or way too high. The optic plate design again another fail. Why put the rear iron sight in the front of the optic and you can’t see it?
Second issue the mags. They should have came with the 21 base plate rather than the the flush 17. The 17 you have to slam it home in the magwell or your mag will fall out. As will the the 21 rd it would be easier

I have STI para ordinance and a bunch of others. They're only good for competition. I would never want to carry one of these for home defense or battle.

    The barrel looks really thin.
Issue with MIM is not just durability, it’s about tolerances. There’s no reason to cheapen out when Tisas can do a non-MIM 1911/2011s at a budget cost.
