I've shot it at my local gun range and to be 100% honest IMHO it's garbage! The gun range told me it had approximately 1100 rounds when I shot it. Trigger is trash, Trigger safety and it's upside down pull is yuckward and awkward!!!! Its shootability/accuracy suffers from the awkward trigger pull. Save yourself and your wallet the pain and misery and buy yourself a cz shadow 2 compact. You'll thank me!!! 😆

IMHO this pistol is a huge identifier that Daniel Defense corporate is losing (lost) their way/integrity. I get the impression that the engineers really worked hard on this design. Truly wanting to improve it. But middle upper managers swooped in trying to make someone's else work their achievements. The price tag is overinflated, and the sales launch was all hype and smoke.After sales launch it seems like DD is just hiding trying to pretend they didn't botch this up. Or they are locked in their offices pointing fingers across the hall at each other. Sorry, long word vomit
You haven't been paying attention at all. Daniel is standing behind the product and actively trying to make things right at no cost to the buyers. I don't own any of theirs, but I respect how they are handling this first foray into the realm of pistols.
Personally, I want to see the H9 succeed as a gun nerd… I like innovation and the intention in the design has massive potential. It’s tough to roll out anything new and innovative in an established segment. To me, it seems like DD struggled to find a market and solicited misaligned feedback in development… but now they have it and I want to see what they do with it!

I do hope Daniel actually commits to the platform to get where it deserves as it has so much potential. Shame it feels worse than a 300$ p10c. Hopefully you can find an optic plate.
It’s a huge swing and miss at that price… you have to offer an amazing set of features to charge $1200 for a striker fired polymer gun. Also just subjectively I think it’s not that attractive and reminds me of the new rm1c which is kinda a budget Glock clone. For $1200 I want to impress people (that’s half the reason we buy nice stuff right? 🙃). I much prefer the shadow 2 compact.
This is gonna be a tough sale. The biggest challenge is the perceived value doesn’t meet the asking price. It’s something unique and innovated… but it’s only 70% there. I’d address the trigger “feel” and experience first… because looking it doesn’t impress and neither does holding it… but if that trigger feel is improved… it would be a step In the right direction

Totally agree. With these two sitting at the same price point, I can’t image someone passing on the CZ Shadow 2 compact in favor of the DD.

The majority of my AR platforms are DD, I really was hopeful for the H9 but like many, am disappointed.
$1200 for a not 1911 but 1911 trigger at 5+lbs… yeah I’d rather shoot two Glocks😂😂😂
