      @@danielpeterson2758 I have to say my that I’m jealous. The Orvis has always been my favorite Grand Cherokee trim. Love the seats.

    I bought a 1997 4wd model identical to this one save for a charcoal-colored interior, in 2005. It had 119K on the odometer, and now has about 264K. I didn't start having any problems until right at 200K, and they've been mostly normal things (alternator, water pump, AC compressor, etc.) Now, it appears rust is going to be its demise, as these vehicles do not have frames that can be welded back together. Mine has rust eating away near the control arms, and the bracket holding the rear brake line bend has already broken free (the stiffness of the brake lines keeps them in place.)
    Best vehicle I've owned, though, and would buy another if I found one appropriately-priced and in the same condition mine was.

    Transfer case is a np242 case a very sought after case. The nv249 you referenced in the video is for the awd models that featured Quadra -trac

      The zj of that year did have qaudro track tho

      249 is a superior awd but pricey to fix.

    I'm about to buy one exactly like this one. I had a ZJ but the one I'm going to buy is closer to the one I remember my parents having when I was a kid, right down to the year. The only difference between this one and the one I'm buying is that mine will have an Agate (black) interior as opposed to this one's Camel (tan) interior.

    Excellent job. Thank you for doing this. Around 1999 I test drove a 96 almost exactly like this and loved it. Except I think it had the gray cloth interior. I actually ended up getting a 96 Explorer from another dealer which was great truck as well. So I never got to get one of these in new condition however I do have a 2004 Laredo WJ currently and I've had it for 10 years. So in a way I still finally got my Jeep😁. Mine is gray. The ZJ definitely had a great interior I love the camel color in this one and I love the wood accents too. My 2004 doesn't have that but still looks cool. I also kind of wish that the WJ had the overhead area where you can put your sunglasses like the ZJ. Sorry to ramble. Excellent video👍

    • @NeighborhoodCarReviews
      @NeighborhoodCarReviews  7 лет назад +1

      +100 Rental Cars it's scary sometimes. I usually have a lot of content pre-recorded and when I get the time, put it all together and do the voice-overs. I have pretty good relations with dealers across my area that are more than amazing at letting me film.

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars 7 лет назад

      Neighborhood Car Reviews I'm the same. Recording is easy, it's finding the time to edit and add voice that's hard for me. Typically, it takes me 2.5 hours per video...more for minivans. You've been doing this a while, I bet you're much quicker.

    • @NeighborhoodCarReviews
      @NeighborhoodCarReviews  7 лет назад

      Well, I have a system that I follow for pretty much every car I film. It makes it easy in the end. I have 5 waiting for rendering then uploading. Putting two up tonight. One is a 2016 VW Beetle 1.8 Turbo and the other is a 2005 Chevrolet SSR, which is an oddball. Cool, but weird.

    I had an odd dream last night, that this model car, down the street, did a brief burnout, then a donut, then sped down our street, and pulled up to me. A Mexican guy, and passenger, and a young black girl was on her phone texting, or playing a game in the back seat. Then he pulls off, and speeds off so quickly!
