If you saw my vinyl tag in January, Matt Nathanson’s Boston Accent was my album of the year last year. It’s unbelievable! I love everything about it. Great melodies, great lyrics… I still listen to it almost daily. It came out on streaming last year but the vinyl was released this year in like Feb. it’s unbelievable.

Hey Brian! I thought I remembered at least one other person in the community mention it, so my hope is that was your video 😁. If memory serves Amazon had the vinyl listing out not far behind the digital release, but then pulled it offsite. It wasn’t until months later I saw it had finally been released on wax. I echo your thoughts here - here’s a really good singer/songwriter 🤘🏻

Nice summary of the year, Concert Buddy. I nice to hear about the albums you mentioned; I’ll say this, Miley Cyrus is a very talented young musician. And not just her vocal. She a songwriter with an ambition to explore music. Look at her collaborations with the Flaming Lips. And she is often covering rock music live at her shows. I'm a Miley fan too. Check out Slide Away from the 2019 MTV VMA's. I need to get that Hives record. Stones album was much appreciated. The Struts came out with Pretty Vicious, very good.Your honesty and transparency are admirable, Chance. All the best to you for 2024.

My favorite album of 2023 was Angels in Science Fiction by St Paul and the Broken Bones!

I can say I havent listened to one of these albums. I'm always about a year behind on stuff.
My daughter and wife.like the Mylie album. I saw Steve's video about the Hives record. Seems like.most of us have the same take with them. We like them but for some reason they get put on the back burner.

Hi Chance. I bought that Miley Cyrus album as well and the girl can sing! It is the only album of hers that I have but I appreciate her talent, and have loved the various things she has done (SNL sing/host, Jolene with Jimmy Fallon in the subway, singing with Metallica, singing Rock covers all over the place, and so on). I have Ultraviolence by Lana Del Rey and might have to grab another. Cheers
Oh wow, you got the boobie cover. I tried to get that but missed it. On discogs it goes for over $100. Nut. I have been bitching about Del Ray for her cash grab with all these different covers. The Hives made my top 5. I got this real cool black vinyl edition. Thanks for the compliment. I had almost 40 new albums this year Incredible year for some great music
I’m going to try and lean into new music better next year. In fact, I tried a new rapper on the radio today called “Polo G”. Unfortunately I think this sing set music back 25 years fir how bad it is. 😬
Chance, it's to your credit that you actually bought nine new releases (not just re-issues) this year... instead of an eighth version of "Waiting for Columbus" or a twenty-seventh version of "Revolver." As for me, one of my few "newer" purchase this year was Fiona Apple's "Fetch the Bolt Cutters" (2020)... though I did download the cover of one record released this year.😈

I have not one of those records in my collection. I got 20 dozen tamales though 😂. I respect how Miley has evolved over the years. As for Metallica, they also own their own whiskey distillery.
