      Andre Romell Young (born February 18, 1965), known professionally as Dr. Dre, is an American rapper, record producer, record executive, and actor. He is the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics, and co-founder of Death Row Records. Dre began his career as a member of the World Class Wreckin' Cru in 1984, and later found fame with the gangsta rap group N.W.A. The group popularized explicit lyrics in hip hop to detail the violence of street life. During the early 1990s, Dre was credited as a key figure in the crafting and popularization of West Coast G-funk, a subgenre of hip hop characterized by a synthesizer foundation and slow, heavy production.

      Released as Death Row's first major project, Dr. Dre's debut solo album, The Chronic (1992), made him one of the best-selling American music artists of 1993. It earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance with its single "Let Me Ride", as well as several accolades for the single "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" (featuring Snoop Dogg). That same year, he produced Death Row labelmate Snoop Doggy Dogg's debut album Doggystyle, and mentored producers such as his stepbrother Warren G (leading to the multi-platinum debut Regulate... G Funk Era in 1994) and Snoop Dogg's cousin Daz Dillinger (leading to the double-platinum debut Dogg Food by Tha Dogg Pound in 1995), as well as other producers including Mel-Man and Scott Storch.[1] In 1996, Dre left Death Row Records to establish his own label, Aftermath Entertainment; his compilation album, Dr. Dre Presents: The Aftermath (1996) and second studio album, 2001 (1999) followed thereafter.
      During the 2000s, Dr. Dre shifted focus onto production for other artists, occasionally contributing vocals. He signed Eminem in 1998 and 50 Cent in 2002, while extensively contributing to releases by both artists. Aftermath has since signed other artists including the Game, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic, Busta Rhymes, Eve, and Rakim, among others. He has won seven Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. Rolling Stone ranked him number 56 on the list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Outside of music, Dre has acted in films such as Set It Off, The Wash, and Training Day.
      Accusations of Dr. Dre's violence against women have been widely publicized. Following his assault of television host Dee Barnes, he was fined US$2,500, given two years' probation, and ordered to perform 240 hours of community service, part of which he fulfilled by making an anti-violence public service announcement. A civil suit was settled out of court. In 2015, Michel'le, the mother of one of his child

    D is a hell of a guy. For those of y'all who don't know, he was actually associated with LEN (Steal My Sunshine). If he chooses to never take credit for the parody, then know he has his reasons and they are valid. He still makes great music, so if you get a chance and haven't, check him out. He's more of an introspective rapper, but that just means he has depth and something meaningful to say. If you like music with a message, you won't be disappointed by giving him some love.

    To D-Sisive, everyone's got a past full of mistakes man. I'm glad you've grown as an artist and as a person, but accepting our mistakes is a part of that process. I love the statement Coby read from the mixtape cover. It was honest and real sh/t, and totally relatable. Besides, even Em has a song from his past he's ashamed of, but is respected for taking responsibility and admitting he was wrong for saying it. You've got some great music man, and sometimes you had to goto that place to get where you are now. 😉
    Coby, great vid. 👍

    • @mrlox9576
      @mrlox9576 5 месяцев назад +8

      @knobcorp To you man.
      Ps: Also, you were playing a character on the track D. An annoyed osama doing a diss track hassling Dre after finding out Dre had made a track about him. In that sense, you said stuff that rappers fighting probably would have said on diss tracks back then. So, really, it made sense for the time. 👍
      Anyway, People should check out D-sisive's more recent music, he's actually pretty cool when he writes real songs. He writes like a guy who's been there and earned his stripes.
      Good artist. 👍

But one thing, even back then, I couldn't understand is why he'd diss Dre like this. I get Eminem takes shots at Dre in his own songs but here he mentions "giving Eazy E aids" were too much of a personal diss. Especially to a guy who Em always says, that saved his life.

    Good job on the find. Didn't even know it existed.
    You need to find out who leaked Eminem - discombobulated, relapse era verse and the other recent leaks and who has thousands of unreleased em tracks from early 2000's-now

    I feel like this video could have been condensed into like 10 minutes.
    Good work though. Never heard of the song, but I used to know of all of Eminem's underground songs and verses. When people would upload remixes or "leaked" songs to youtube, I could instantly tell where the verse came from originally, or if it wasn't even Eminem. I was a bit of a fan boy back then. So no, I never paid attention to "fake" songs like this. I didn't even know it was a discussion. I guess I learned something.

    15:17 I am so sorry, I don't really wanna break the chain and actually want this song's artist to be found. But I was wondering, can't "D" be just the smiling mouth? Like, maybe the anonymous user forgot to put his or her ":" and typed "D" instead of ":D"? I am not a native speaker so I may have understood something wrong.

    It really was a different time then, I was 15-16 in 2002, look at what was going on then and how everyone grew, Eminem and Steve-O and Tom Green, all the crazy stuff I remember from back then, no one should be ashamed of saying or doing some wild stuff back then being young, it was a wild time and stuff like all that would never fly today, I mean that was even the Chappelle Show era and I'm pretty sure the younger people nowadays would lose their minds if they watched Chappelle Show and listened to old Eminem then watched Freddy Got Fingered lol. It's crazy to think of how things are now vs then when people were literally saying and doing whatever they wanted and were the most famous people on the planet for doing it, being obscene was the thing. Nothing to be ashamed of or anything like that, we all grew up, and I think we all are happy we got to be young and wild at a time when it was ok to be young and wild.
