- Justin Hayward performing live at The Paramount Theater on June 4, 2016 in Austin Texas. This performance coming off 2 cancelled shows in Oklahoma for a bad case of laryngitis. Love Justin's story telling.
Enjoy the Hypnotic state of the fabulous Justin Hayward
This song makes me cry every time I hear it.
A beautiful man who wrote beautiful songs. Love love love the Moody Blues
I'm 67 now in '22, and I fully remember telling my late Mom when I was about a freshman in high school (prob.1969-70) as I played this album in our downstairs den, that I wanted this played at MY FUNERAL IF I died before my time. I made her promise. She just nodded her head very knowingly, didn't say a word, and smiled what was much like a Mona Lisa smile. Her eyes twinkled and she kept on doing what she was doing. Here I am with headphones yet again.....playing this magnificent tune. What a joy. And no funeral for me.....nope. Just get me cremated and put me in a little box. I'll catch up with you the moment you cross over....I promise.
I asked my kids to play this at my funeral too. I always love hearing it..it is wonderful live!!!
This needs a "love" button...the music and the man 💗
Most definitely a love button.....glad you enjoyed it...
Incredible Fits this Song!☺😎💯💯💥🥰🎀👐🤗
Great to hear Justin reminiscing. Love the guitar and keyboard. Beautiful song Justin. Thank you. 12/23
The man is in his 70's and STILL one of the sexiest men I have ever seen in my 60+ years.
I concur with you on that one my dear
Yes he is!!! But I don't think he understands his attractiveness. He seems to have gotten over his shy phase of life!!! I love seeing that!!
Such a beautiful song from such a special man. It's always been my favorite MB song, and it always moves me almost to tears each time I hear it. Thanks for the wonderful clip.
Such a Special time of life & Justin’s soul connected with it for us.
The peak of the 60's. New year's Eve-69-70, Never the same after that.
Just effing beautiful!
Probably THE most under-rated songwriter. I've been a fan since DoFP!!!!
I would agree very under-rated...really gets little airplay....well except for here....thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I don't agree at all..The Moodies and/or JH were NEVER under-rated
@@1DansBlues best ever
The world is crowded with underratet people, especially songwriters.
I can't say how much joy Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues have given me...this is just a unique moment all were blessed to be part of as an intimate setting sharing with a wonderful musician.
Well said Michael, thanks for you comments!
Can saying "love" many times over express how much this song means to me? If so, then I love love love this song. It's been a good, close friend for decades. I can't listen without tears, still - the words express my life.
We all have songs we live by....this definitely is one of those songs that I hold close to the heart....well said Gwyn....glad you enjoyed this song...
me too. This is my favorite song...I was inspired enough to find that field and forest for myself and had three horses. it was so peaceful. I just love Justin's heart❤
I love this man and his music. This older Justin is quite a bit different from the younger Justin...he used to be so quiet and reserved...now, he's funny and he shares it. No small wonder I keep falling in love with him, over and over and over....
I just put this on loop yesterday to listen to...was a bad day for me, and I really needed it.
I have pretty much given up only watching the news and devoted my time to listening to Justin and the Moody blues. They bring a peace to my life and silence the pain we live thru each day of our lives. Thank you Justin
Well said...and I couldn't say it any better...thanks for your comments....
They have always sung the perfect songs for everything in my life - got me through the good times and the sad times. How to say how much they mean to me? There are no words to thank them enough...
Love,
Jaz
The brain washing political opinions of the news can't touch this!
Very well said. I've got goosebumps. He's amazing still!
Agree. There is so much hate and nonsense in the world today. Justin and the Moodies music always lifts the spirit. Why waste time on negativity?
Thanks for posting - one of the Moody's most etherial masterpieces
I've been listening to this guys voice for a very long time and it is that friend.
IT'S SOO 'HARD' FOR ME TO 'WATCH' THIS & NOT BE CRYING, AS 'YOUR FRIEND IS 'ALWAYS WATCHING & WAITING,....!!!.🥺😥😘😍🥰💯👍👍👍❤❤❤💙💙💙
If Nights in white Satin is number one, then this has got to be number two. should have been a massive hit.
Such a touching song.
"There's that sound again". My father, same age as Justin, brought Days of future passed from a record-store in Stockholm to our hometown in Sweden and introduced all who were interested in music to the Moody - world. This was the very week it was released. My father has been a devoted Moody-fan ever since as the whole family, now passed on to his children childrens children (!) also. 7 year old Sandra wants to hear Twilight time on the way home from school.
Fantastic song... and album..... Justin is awesome and such a very nice and very talented soul...... One of my fav songs....
Music of my life, my soul, my heart. Pure BEING. One with the sound, the music, the singer-songwriter.
I'm loving your stories as much as your beautiful songs. The 60's were clearly a lot of fun! J💖
The Moody Blues are nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! They DESERVE IT! Should have been there years ago.
THEY ARE THE BEST!!
Me too. Always told my family, play this before you bury what's left of me. But I do love this song!!!
Besides being an excellent guitarist and vocalist, what comes through most in your music is your incredible ability to express your feelings, emotions, and caring. Your love comes through and we love you too Justin Hayward!
So well said....he has such amazing lyrics...such a soft spoken voice as well...
Listening to Children's....while I am in chemotherapy. I have a new found appreciation for the Moodies especially this album. Love Mike's Melotron.
One of the most beautiful songs evaaaah
JUSTIN'S CONCERTS ARE AS GOOD AS IT GETS ! BEAUTIFUL !!!!!
This man got me through my adolescence, and much emotion that we feel every day, I really love you Justin Hayword for all you gave me... love!!
Such a sentimental reply...nicely said.
Justin Hayward was a good singer and composer, and stil is,in these difficult days that we face in all the world.
Just lovely.
This is my kid brother in heaven and waiting for me to play together again. One day... 💔
Jill y Bean I too lost my brother in ‘16. Till The Day We Meet Again.
@@1DansBlues Thank you. Take care of yourself. They would have wanted us to, though sometimes it's very very hard. 🌈
I saw him in Dallas the day before.
Even now, Justin Hayward is still appealing to the eyes.
Bravo mon ami - you are forever one of England's treasures. (Geoff)
My favorite song from the Moody`s...
Who is an idiot enough to click the down thumb? I mean, really? Can't wait to hear your singing voice when you are in your 70's!
Yea. Blindness won’t let go of those types. No truth inside them to begin with.
I love to hear the stories. Justin your such a humble man.
Love the Moody Blues...love....
Yes I do too....
@@1DansBlues beautiful lyrics.
I have always loved Justin and the Moodies ever since the first time I heard them. There is an ethereal quality to Justin's voice that no one else can duplicate. Am hoping to see one of his solo concerts some day. Simply the best, and thank you so much for recording these performances.
Put seeing a solo show on your bucket list. He is quite the story teller as he looks back on his life during these concerts. The songs he does in these concerts you will not hear at a Moody's concert...I have attended 3 solo shows and he gets better each time I have seen him... I am spoiled in seeing his solo shows over a Moody concert....still looking forward their concert in July.... I'm glad you enjoy my videos.
Well, don't wait too long! Even Justin will be called to his eternal reward!
Thank you. One of my favorites!
Absolutely beautiful!
We will always be watching and waiting, be ready, I hope it won't be very long, thanks for sharing!🌹♾
Thanks for watching. These gems never get old.
I missed the last solo show that he did in Boston and am still kicking myself. I definitely won't miss the next one.
Hayworth writes melody so well
❤, he has such a beautiful spirit level .
Here he pays homage to the Sun of God and the fact that you create your own reality whether divine or destructive? One of my favourite songs!!!
Yep it is a great song....like most of us its part of many favorites songs by Justin....
I didn't know that he wrote it about Jesus.
The Spirit Of It Is So Real.
Justin explains why it is so important. Been one of those songs that are timeless. I've always felt that he was singing ab our Lord Jesus Christ!!!
I turned on my daughter in law to this little time, she loves it, can't believe it's been so long.
Been out for 50 years now.
Om Heaven Om!🌅☺
A special band, very special! There are no other matches. They deliver mystery, truth, vision, deep almost heavenly flavor. Love them!
I am in love with Justin Haywards voice!! Hope to meet him on the On The Blue Cruise in February!
I have always and still do love this song.
I cannot explain why but it always makes me think of Moonwatcher ....or the final image of the Starchilld, both from my favourite film 2001, A Space Odyssey ❤️❤️❤️,
Yes it’s such a great song! That is super cool this song has such a special meaning and memory for you. Thanks for your comment.
Hi Dan, we saw this show in Bristol, UK this past May and I brought my daughter, Autumn, it was stunning, she was named after Forever Autumn! And Mike and Julie came out afterwards to sign autographs and we have pictures with both of them! So wonderful, no Justin afterwards but he was outstanding!!!! They all were! xoxo Thanks for the video! :-)
MAYBE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE FROM JUSTIN.
I love the moody blues a great bad that always takes you back to the days of your youth. for me this song takes me back to when i was living in a commune with 37 friends we lived in a deep forest for 18 months. it was really something amassing. sadly a few years ago one of the guy died and this songs just brings a sad/happy tear. RIP Paul
Sad to hear of good friend; I also lost a precious & Amazing friend in 2011 from San Jose California. Randy had such a beautiful soul; never got to marry the girl he loved. An excellent piano player. He hitched his way to The Lighthouse Ranch in Eureka California in ‘77. The very best days of being young; we were roommates; into Christianity & natural foods.
Take care. ✌️
SOON YOU WILL SEE ME.......I'LL BE ALL AROUND YOU....
😇😇😇😇✨🌟✨✨💫💫💫💫💕
Such great lyrics....
First heard this lovely song in 1985 & it took to a place I had never been before.
The break hook (4:20) is really great. That basic chord (progression) is a common on Hayward's songs and started with this tune right at the beginning. If you play guitar it's not simple but if you hit it you can thank Hayward for making us clowns sound like we know what we're doing. Wonder who, if any, American born writer/singer we have to compare with Hayward?.
My only guess would be Paul Simon
Thank you, Dan.
Damn... that was damn good!
I can close my eyes and be 18 again.
Fantastik.Voice still the same as 30 yrs ago
I listen to the Moodys music while stargazing with my telescope up in the mountains and watching the Milky Way move through the sky. What a great combo.
That’s super cool. Thanks for commenting
Lovely
Did anyone else notice that in the first verse he used the line from the last verse. Instead of signing "why have I been alone so long" from the original he sang "I hope it won't be very long".
Great find to a great song.
I noticed it. I guess most people didn’t. Surprised with all the fans saying how much they love the song.
Lovely to see the yanks enjoying our limey music !
We've been enjoying band's from England our entire lives. Moody Blues, Bowie, Queen, Beatles and all of their solo careers, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, Duran Duran, Genesis and Peter Gabriel, Roxy Music, T Rex; the list goes on and on
@@cognitivetriad Me too from your side across the pond - Zappa, Steely Dan, America, The Doobies, Joe Walsh, Starship, The Tubes, the list goes on. Mutual respect, Sir.
@@mehcol 🙂
Beautiful
Thanks Moodymoose....
Don't be alarmed by my fields and my forests, unbelievable, so good.
Love me some Hayward.
Very funny I know I was in the 60s I’ve seen pictures and also I wrote a lot of music back then I’m still trying to understand it
was there :-)
Wonderful! (Great camera work! 😉)
Best ever
...."Someone to understand me"....
The opening line was actually the closing line. I wonder if he did that on purpose or made a mistake. “Why have I been alone so long.”
RIP Mike Pinder.
"Does this song move you like it does for Holistic Chef Barry Anderson ?"
Much so. Are tears proof, as I felt the spirit of its meaning?
Where's John Lodge ? Is this a special concert ? He must have no home life touring all the time.
HE NEVER HAD A HOME LIFE......MUCH ANYWAY......😢😢😢😢😇😇😇🌟✨🌟✨💫💫💫💕💕💕
This is a solo tour. Now in 2019,Graeme has retired,it's just Justin and John on separate tours. Hopefully they can do something together in the future. I just saw Justin for the first time in St.Louis,MO and it was magical. Nothing like a real live in person concert 4 rows away from him. 🥰😊🤩😍
Great voice, like Julio Iglesias.
Since the sound quality is so bad, making the music quite unenjoyable, the storytelling is the only reason to have uploaded this.
Wow, he sings the wrong lyrics to the song. Guess you're allowed that once in a while on tour.
