Get this - Graeme with jacket and tie!!! Seeing the air date May 21, 1988 brings back the memory of hearing "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" for the first time a few weeks later on the radio in a gift shop in Bermuda while on my honeymoon. Told my wife "Listen... a new song from the Moody Blues!" Didn't hear any intro to the song, just knew by the sound it was the Moodies. Saw them live that summer in Springfield, Massachusetts. Finest band ever!
@@rmoore1686 I went on to see the Moodies about twenty five times over the years, including one show with first row dead center seats and the next to last public show ever by the band out in Las Vegas. Still see Justin's and John's solo shows whenever they are nearby. Had the privilege and pleasure to meet John at his show in Hartford CT in March 2020.
@@rmoore1686 Yes, he struck me as being a real gentleman. There were perhaps a dozen of us in the photo op/meet and greet session. John was most courteous and patient with us all. Felt like he enjoyed meeting us as much as we enjoyed meeting him. Will try to post a pic to my youtube channel. As you can see my youtube channel is primarily dedicated to my dog "Deacon". BTW, Deacon's AKC registered name is "Gypsy of a Strange and Distant Time". Sound familiar?
The Moodies are so talented and sooo damned cute. I miss Ray & Graeme- may you be forever rocking. Thank you gents for all your great music. Moodies 4- ever 🎵🎶🎸🎸🎤🎶🎵❤
This is the best song, Justin❤️❤️❤️❤️!!! Yes, I know you're out there somewhere, was the best time of my life... Just knowing you are with your love, is so fine and special!!!! Justin, you are a poet, for my dream's...🥀🥀🥀🥀...2022..
I remember watching this on the night... absolutely fabulous!!...a reminder now of course how great the 4 main band members still were after Mike Pinders departure and the fact that dear Ray and Graeme were still around then...still love all their music...thank you guys!!❣️
Smooth as ever, Justin. Your voice is so soft, and lovely. The gift you give us, is so warming and loving. You are a gifted man, I appreciate it so very much..🥀🥀🥀🥀...2022...
@@kerryclark7233 Indeed, Justin sang at Tarby's daughter's wedding. This was mentioned in the TV show This is your Life: Justin Hayward. It's on youtube.
This song makes me smile. After my summer love and i went our separate ways we almost ran into each other but i decided not to go. Life went on and my husband died quickly and i had no closure and somehow my other love three months befire him. Special memories of them both.
It's a shame this was karaoke and not live footage. I saw the Other Side of Life tour, and have found very little footage online of it or any footage between 1986 - 1990 when Patrick was still in the band doing a superb job on the keys. I saw them also in 1990 for the great hits tour just before he left, and the band again without him for their final tour a few years back, but their 80s music was always my favorite. As a synth player myself, I'd love to see some clear live footage of those tours or than featuring their 60s or 70s songs (though great too).
I'm not a Patrick Moraz fan, but after watching all those Moodies videos from the eighties, how could they claim Patrick was not a regular member or the band?

Graeme is a great drummer. He has a good sense of humor too.

@@thomaskowalcky4553. How lucky you are that you got to meet John. I bet he’s a nice person. Justin seems like a nice person too.

I enjoy listening to these interviews of Justin and the moody Blues. Iv learned alot. It's 2020 USA Thank you Justin your great!
I think this is the first time I've seen Graeme Edge in a suit and tie. Marvelous! I really miss him and Ray.
Justin sang Nights beautifully on Jimmy’s show 💖 and will never forget his award from Andorra 😂

They were better after the coercive controlling freak left.
Love the Moody's. The best band ever. They will live on forever. 🙏🏼🎸🌹♥️

Hey, are you jealous ? Justin was the most handsome man back in the day. Such a great singer and songwriter. @@geraldolivier3681
Justin really is a handsome man
@@rmoore1686 Indeed he is. Thank you for your reply
Don’t overlook John. He’s nice looking too ❤.
Tarby always was a fan of the Moodies... he's got great taste.
As well as a friend of Justin.

Thanks for this rare clip! The guys all sounded and looked great, especially my Lovely Lodgey. :)
He's my heartthrob as well.
Lodgey - love that ❤
How true we just saw John and Justin is in June. They are truly amazing performers!
I’ve always wanted to meet Justin Hayward in person since I was 19. Oh well, another pipe dream.
Justin Hayward nails Tommy Allsup's solo on It's so easy
💖Always.
Amooo esta Banda...que ja não existe mais...The Best...🤩🤩🤩
Jus mucked the words up - good recovery tho. RIP lovely Ray.
The Best! Then and Now.
I love you Justin, you're really wonderful
It's so cool !!
Sadly only 3 left now, Justin John and Mike, they were miming by the way.
It´s so easy!!
🤣 I agree he is ❤
This is the only time I've seen Justin playing a Yamaha acoustic guitar instead of his Martin D28.
Did he just wink at the beginning?
💙
I wonder how many other hosts were "a pressure" to work with?
i can see know why mike pinder was so important to the moodies and his melatron, ssems very empty without his musical magic
I miss Mike and his presence with the group, but Patrick was playing Mike's parts well enough.
That’s why the first ‘Core 7’ albums were so significant....Pinders songs and his Mellotron
I like his guy Jimmy Tarbucks, a good host.
I thought he forgot the S..tarbucks
An unlikely pair but it sounds great. Too bad the last verse got cut abruptly.
They don't seem to be really playing here. If you watch the drummer, he does some tom fills that you can't hear. Hmmm..
I don't see any speakers...

Why is Ray Thomas in a referee's shirt???? LOL
Why not?
I'm not a Patrick Moraz fan, but after watching all those Moodies videos from the eighties, how could they claim Patrick was not a regular member or the band?
I suppose it was a nice gig for PM but his great talents were so underutilized playing with these very average but popular moodies
True. But if only he hadn't been. He added virtually nothing to the band and was a great distraction on stage. Couldn't hold a candle to Mike Pinder.
@@danielshaheencommodities5748 They were far better before he joined them.
@@NYCOPERAFAN True, but he did good work on "Your Wildest Dreams" and "Sitting at the Wheel." Otherwise he was techno-pop.
@@NYCOPERAFAN That could also be a reflection on the music they were creating and not necessarily Patrick. But I never felt he fit in the band.
Ray Thomas looks hes dressed to be a referee
My God . Fukin bril .
I don't think that i like that last remark
Shame it had to be faked. Not live.
