A special thank you to Mr Haward, the album this song is from, sent me down the road to becoming a very huge fan of The Moody Blues and you. Thank you for the many concerts I attended because of your music. Yeah, I am old, loved seeing 4 generations of fans at your concerts. :)
You know, for a lot of bands and performers who became quite famous back in the day, the small percentage of them that are still performing, often perform rather dull and uninspired shows in which the magic of their originals is missing, as if they are bored to tears with or are simply sick of their old songs. And so while other such bands appear to be dinosaurs who are merely "phoning it in," Justin's Moody songs are just perfectly rendered, passionate, and in as great a voice and execution as ever! His music is being played as powerful and fresh as if it had just been written. The Moodies - as is Justin - were perfectionists, and it showed. And they had the best sound engineers of their time! And his voice is still incredible! The fellow just has such grace, style and humbleness about him - almost as if he's as amazed as everyone else that he's been so blessed to have been a key part of an amazing musical legacy - that CONTINUES in excellence.
I agree wholeheartedly with all you said. It's obvious Justin cares about the quality/precision of his music and still executes it beautifully. I continue to be mesmerized by his voice; the way he portrays the passion in the words relates so personally to me.
Justin should be Sir Justin ! I’m so glad he still shares his instrumental Genius of His voice, songwriting, excellent master acoustic guitar playing! I would love to go to one of His concerts!😊

I’m absolutely taken by his music though! Thank you sooo much for bringing his concerts to me in my home!🥰
This song has so much meaning to me. Please know I have already pre selected it to be played at my Memorial. This song will be the closing of my Memorial service. The first song of the Memorial will be Tuesday afternoon. This song accompanied so many wonderful Memories of places that I enjoyed that I can never see again, because they will never be the same. The Moody Blues had such an impact on my life. Thank you Justin, and the whole group. I can never repay what you have given to me and how much you have been a part of my life.

I'm with you all about this song, Justin and the Moodies in general. Heck, I've been blessed to see and hear the band about 30 times since their sell-outs at MSG in the early '70s right through their DOFP 50th concert tour, during which I saw them at the SPAC in Saratoga. They never disappointed. And seeing Justin numerous times in his concerts in recent years has always been a special experience. We all know they've been underrated and even overlooked so often over the decades. Still, how great it's been that we have enjoyed and cherished their music. I'll add, while I love, Justin, John and Graeme, I'd like to toast the incredible song-writing, singing and creative talents of both Ray Thomas (including this song) and Mike Pinder. Cheers to them all, and thank you so much for enhancing my life.
Such a nice story here as an intro to such an awesome song....that whole night sitting in the first row, I just felt like he was looking through my eyes into my soul....it was a haunting feeling....in a nice way....probably said...look you little shit, I see you filming....but I love filming...
Same here!!!! See him whenever he works his way back here to L.A. I thankfully saw him 2 years ago in a SMALL VENUE, where I chose to sit directly in front of him so I could stare into his eyes as he performed..... Many Tears indeed, as he takes us to places in our heart's memory of wonderful days of our youth eh?
@@TheAslterp Absolutely. Way back when I lived in LA the Moodies were selling out the big arenas. But I must say, I enjoy the small, Boston area venues with Justin's current group just as much, maybe even more so.
this was my favorite song during my 1st marriage doomed to fail. I was 20 yrs. of age getting close to divorcing. That was in 1969 right after my son was born. Tough times, the Moody Blues music saved me, to "keep the faith," as John Lodge says at the end of their concerts/ Love the Moody Blues forever, resonating with True hearts.
This is the song the band thought was the next best thing to Nights and they expected it would be a huge single, except that it didn’t even touch the charts. Not because it wasn’t a great tune but by 1969 when this came out most Moodies fans were just buying the albums so singles weren’t really important to them anymore. Definitely one of my particular favourites, really stirs the emotions. Saw Justin a few years back on a solo tour.and my daughter.and myself enjoyed it more than a Moodies gig. The songs he performs solo are so suited to this more acoustic environment.
Hi Rosemary. It’s my pleasure to meet you. Thank you for the love and passion you have for my music career i Truly appreciate you for my heart. Where are you from?
I so love this song...I just had to hear it today. I grew up listening to The Moody blues. for the first ten years of my life that's what we listened to; blasting it out, driving around in our Volkswagen bus with a smokestack on the top of it. Then, The Moody Blues broke up, and I was so sad. I was 15 years old, and I loved them so much I've always loved them, they've been my favorite band of all time, and miraculously they got back together and they came to Denver on my 16th birthday!!! and somebody bought me two tickets and that was the best birthday present I ever got!
Seems to be a trend on the comments board here...nobody seems to remember when or where they may/may not have been at a given gig. What was being smoked at these things...Whacky Weed?!?

If I had to choose one last song to hear, this would be it. Justin's beautiful voice, the poignant lyrics, the orchestration bring me to tears every time. Whether they are tears of joy (sometimes), tears of sorrow (sometimes) or tears of hope (always), this song has the ability to reach deep inside my mind and heart - maybe even my soul. Thank you Justin and Ray for so much beauty in one small song.
No Linda it sure doesn’t. Can’t wait to see him again in concert. He is sorely missed. First time at his concert having front row seats. He must have looked at me a dozen times. I felt like de was looking into my soul. A haunting feeling that warms the soul.

The.most underrated songs of Justins,, my favorite
I believe I may have been at that concert at the Garden. special days and music for me. My favorite Moodies song.
Great performance! It's interesting to see who is able to keep their singing voice as they age. Gordon Lightfoot lost his completely, but Justin still sounds great.
Elton Johns voice is completely gone as well

My all-time favorite song of his... Really beautiful one
