I managed to assemble their entire discography on CDs. Including all Ep's and live stuff. It wasn't easy. I have been a metalhead for 45 years now. And I have been in love since I saw Lovebites at Wacken,man.
They keep the candle of heavy metal burning bright.

This concert was during covid-19. And people at the concert were allowed to support the group only by clapping their hands. But the ladies played incredibly even without the usual support.

Great reaction, I heard this band only a few months ago but they totally blown me away, I don't know if you already listened to "Scream for me" Live in Tokyo 2019 but that is guitar solo heaven.
One of my fav thrash songs from the ladies. Miyako has mentioned that her main tone comes from the Peavey 6505+ through an Orange PPC212OB (Open Back Vintage 30) Cabinet. This was 2 years go when this concert was played, so the equipment might have changed by now.
I am sure it has, all musicians like their toys 😉 Seeing the combination just took me back in time for a second!
Miyako now has her own signature Orange Amp and cabinet.

@@gordonbell8728Unfortunately the amp is just a 20 watt solid state practice amp. She does have a full 100 watt tube Orange amp to back up her Peavey but it's not a signature model.
Miyako's Dean ML Switchblade USA is a custom run specially built for Miyako. She uses it for songs in drop D tuning.
No, that guitar was not made specifically for Miyako because my friend has a Dean guitar with the same design that Miyako has

This song for me is the perfect blend of thrash and power metal into a single song. No one merges metal sub-genres better than LOVEBITES.
Miyako described 'Set The World On Fire" as Thrash metal. The album's producer had them change the middle part just before recording.

@@mmcpa I remember reading this in an interview (can't recall which interview or magazine) with Miyako. She said somewhere along the lines that the producer thought "Set the World on Fire" was too brutal and he requested the middle part to be changed. It's also briefly mentioned in Wikipedia (under "Electric Pentagram" page). I know, we shouldn't blindly trust what's written in the Wiki...
The one I remember is the interview with g e k i r o c k in which Miyako first said that the producer thought the whole song was too brutal, but gave it a second listen and liked it after all. Then Haruna recalled that the producer wanted the "middle section" changed, and Miyako confirmed that. She didn't go into details, but basically she said the middle section didn't match the intensity of the rest of the song. She used the expression 突っ走る, which means a propulsive momentum or intensity.
@@otobokegaijin6218 Yes ! I remember now, I had to translate this article from Japanese to English in order to read it. It was a pretty good interview with the band as they discussed song-by-song on "Electric Pentagram" and some of the stuff they mentioned is quite informative. The "Set the World on Fire" chat was on page 3.
Mentioning Dragonforce, they supported them on their UK tour in 2019.

For a second I thought you had noticed that Miyako-san is pregnant. Estimates vary because she didn’t announce the birth until November, this was recorded in April (I think) so how many months pregnant she was has to be a guess because she announced the birth along with her marriage and neither may have been concurrent. But baby Miyako was a 6th Lovebites for this short tour.
We think she was around 4 months along here. It would be nice to see some pics of her baby, but that side of their lives they don't seem to want to share with us. 😕
@@TheCyberMantis the reason my comment was so convoluted is because I’m aware that received wisdom says she is four months pregnant here. But that means she didn’t tell us she had given birth until a full two months after doing so. In reality, 4 months is, I presume, estimated by her physical appearance. I don’t blame her or Asami-san for not sharing baby pics, because their children are not in Lovebites - other than the honorary status briefly awarded to MiniMiyako…🙂
@@alekhidell We tried to calculate the time when she announced the birth, back to when this concert took place, and that's how we came to the estimate of around 4 months. As far as the baby pics go... Tamu Murata is cool with it. But yeah, most of them are pretty secretive about their family life. They separate their professional career and their family life. Which is perfectly okay. But let's be honest... we all want to see some family pics.
@@TheCyberMantis firstly I have no desire to see family pictures. Secondly, counting back from the announcement (November, I recently checked out of curiosity) if she is four months pregnant here, then the gestation period was 11 months!

What I also really like about there music is that Lovebites incorporate such wonderful, sometimes extremely fast tempo changes into their compositions - but live requires such a complete band, such talented, skillful and artistic musicians - which they do at the moment completely, with a few bands, very few, outside of the Lovebites universe.
And let's not forget Miyako is 4 or 5 months pregnant in this video

They tick all the boxes for me too. Poor Haruna, it's not as if she's not hot enough due to her work rate but then they add pyro blasts either side of her to make her even hotter. 😊😊
They really do have it all covered! For something more fun and hard rock, with more crowd participation, there's Raise Some Hell. For more catchy, almost poppy rock, there's Empty Daydream or, with a bit more sass, Dancing With The Devil. Want an epic 80s ballad? Epilogue will have you covered. Better still, if you want all the 80s metal in one epic song, there's Edge of the World. There's lots more besides those, too. The recommendations from everyone will last a long time!

Yosai-san is not human, at the drums she is simply incredible, since the days of the band Destrose she has never changed, in fact, if possible she has further improved, she is the show within the show, in my opinion she should have a dedicated fan cam to enjoy all her incredible talent to the full!
Midori has mentioned Japanese Metal bands like XJapan,Galneyrus,Dir En Grey as well as Angra, Extreme and George Lynch were bands and guitar music she gravitated towards. She enrolled and graduated from the Highly Prolific ESP Gaukin Music Performance Master Classes and is a part of the ESP Japan Craft and Performance programs as an artist/ instructor. She has ultimate laser like precision and knows the fret board better than the guitar itself knows. Midori and Miyako are an Incredibly Dynamic Duo that thrives off of each other whether it be trading solo's or busting up Riffs into multi layered masterpieces. The fact they write songs within songs is Also quite incredible. Once in a Lifetime band.
Whenever we fans see a new reactor and realize that he has guitars hanging on the wall and plays the guitar himself, it is always clear from the start: This guy will be "Lovebitten" after 2/3 songs at the latest. No guitar lover can escape the magic of Midori and Miyako.It's always been like this 😅, for years ... 😂😂. Except for you. With you it already happened during the first song..🤣🤣🤣
