This was the first show back after a 2 year break due to the pandemic and 2 babies. You can see Asamie in particular how happy she is to be back on stage. It's also the first concert with Fami on bass and for her it's the first time playing on such a big stage in front of so many people.
Hahaha 😂, Lovebites never let you down, they really know how to put on great show backed up by great songs & musicianship.🤘🎸🎤🥁🎹🎶🔥🤯🐺 Regards Wolfpack UK 🐺
I know we each have our own opinions. I also know many don't like to have their opinions stepped on. I open myself up for criticism with my use of words. So, here goes, and remember, it's my personal opinion, and you can replace all similar words with favorite.... Lovebites are the greatest band I have ever heard. Forget the genre of music they play for a moment. I'm talking about a band, executing their craft within the genre they play. What Lovebites does with a blend of power/thrash/speed/heavy metal is nothing short of spectacular. High speed played practically flawless on a technical level. They're is no weak link with this band. Each member is elite/virtuoso at what they do. I cannot name another band that I can say this about within the realm of music they play. To me, with 50+ years of listening to metal, there is no better collection of talent in a single band. As it stands right now with my all-time favorite lists: Best band - Lovebites Best song - Judgement Day Best album - Judgement Day Best dual leads - Miyako & Midori Best drummer(s) - Haruna, Martin Lopez, Dave Lombardo Best vocalist(s) - Asami, Cristina Scabbia, Taylor Momsen, Courtney Hadwin, Maria Brink Best bassist - Fami, Les Claypool. Best musician/artist - Miyako I get excited as you do listening to Lovebites. I am a head shaker with them. They are simply that good to me. Again, I stress this is my opinion only. I say this thinking of nobody else but myself. Great reaction.
LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior [live] lyrics: This is it, Living under the destiny to fight My doubts layin' silent in past Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies Will you give it up?

Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES. The girls will not perform songs live that they have not practised enough. It is a rule of LOVEBITES and their pride. The girls practice before the concert to achieve the level they are capable of reaching at that point in time. This is Asami's live talk before playing other songs. I think this is true of many of their songs. 「我々の楽曲はライブにて完成する!」 「Wareware no gakkyoku wa raibu nite kansei suru!」 Our music is complete when it's live!"
Thanks for your reaction. Enjoy your long journey into the World of LOVEBITES. More than 50 original songs and 3 covers of songs by other bands are still waiting for you. And of course, piano covers from Miyako (brunette - guitar, piano, keyboards, backing vocals).
It's a complex song to play LIVE and the ladies made it look like a stroll in the park. The 2 lead guitarists (Midori & Miyako) were solo harmonizing and the drummer (Haruna) was double-kicking for pretty much the entire 6-minute track.
You were wondering how fast this song is - it is about 180bpm. This is actually not 'fast' for Lovebites. They have several songs that are 220bpm. But @ 180 bpm if Miyako or Midori are a split second slow in the dual solos, it would be noticeable. Glad you are enjoying Lovebites, and every Reaction gets them in front of more eyes and increases the chances that they will finally 'break out' and get the notice they deserve.
A band at the top of it's game is a pleasure to see and hear.. Nice reaction Dude.. Plenty more songs for you to see.. looking forward to more of the same. Best wishes..
These musicians are the very definition of relentless perfection. M&M practice together away from the band to ensure they are always as flawless as possible. Haruna on drums is an Android, so she never misses a beat, and her cymbal work is legendary. Asami, as usual, is the Napoleon stage general controlling the crowd, the band, and the stage. This much talent in one band should be illegal and a monopoly violation.
This live version shows the value of a live versus the original video which was a bunch of photos of past performances along with a wolf animation. ruclips.net/video/eq2Rh5hMPSU/видео.html I prefer the live version!
Ok, your joy over this stuff has earned you The List. This will take two posts since it's too long for one youtube comment. Japan has had an active all-girl metal scene since at least 1981. This is a starter list of all-female (or in eight cases, mixed gender) metal, punk, hard-rock and post-rock bands, with founding dates where I know them. It's alphabetical, except for the first three, which are at the top of the list for historical reasons. They set the table for the explosion of Japanese female hard-rock, punk and metal bands. Note: I have tried to pick clips that are high quality and are representative of the band's style. If you put the question out there, you are likely to get suggestions mainly for Band-Maid, Babymetal, Lovebites, Nemophila, Unlucky Morpheus and Wagakki Band. You can’t go wrong with any of those, but find time to check out more of the bands on this list. They are all worth the time and deserve the love, and many will really surprise you. My personal favorites include Asterism, Bridear, Doll$Boxx, existTtrace, Hagane, Hanabie, Mary’s Blood, Sokoninaru and Tricot. Ok, the list: Show-Ya (1981 The original female J-metal band, founded before Metallica-this is from their 24th (!) anniversary concert-and they are still touring) They have a strong Deep Purple vibe, and in my view they belong in any rock or music hall of fame: “I am the Storm” ruclips.net/video/oJ_5Gv3vFjQ/видео.html Shonen Knife (1981 The world’s first bubblegum punk band. They have done several world tours, and opened for Nirvana, who were big fans. They also perform as a Ramones tribute band called Osaka Ramones): ruclips.net/video/w9LUlYzOiWs/видео.html Destrose (2005; This band was never stable, but has become almost mythic in metal history, because so many great bands spun out of Destrose, including Lovebites--you will recognize the drummer and bassist.) Here are two clips-a lot of them get taken down so please let me know if either of these is dead: ruclips.net/video/JpyzVlPJC2g/видео.html ruclips.net/video/e-CH-FLS2kM/видео.html (This cuts off just after Narumi’s guitar solo-but they didn’t cut that, and it’s gorgeous.) Combining “Kawaii” (cute) Japanese pop tropes over thunderous heavy metal backing) ruclips.net/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/видео.html Band-Maid (2013 OK, there are 160+ great songs by them. Easily the best known band on this list other than Babymetal, they are more hard rock and prog than metal. Did a 14 city US tour in 2022 that sold out 48 hours after being listed, and a 2023 global 10th anniversary tour. There is a ton of fan footage of that tour up on youtube, a lot of which is great stuff.) Here is a live clip: ruclips.net/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/видео.html Bridear (2011 Heavy, technical-and their tiny bassist also growls): ruclips.net/video/LQIDqudG_DQ/видео.html Cyntia (2011 Second wave, hard, heavy, but with prog and symphonic touches) ruclips.net/video/FnhObh5i_3U/видео.html D-Drive (2009 Instrumental progressive metal and fusion; Mixed gender. Extraordinary, technical dual lead guitars featuring Yuki and Seiji) Here is a lockdown version of their 2009 hit “Cassis Orange”: ruclips.net/video/Mi0ykRvZ1LA/видео.html Disqualia (2015 Destrose spin-out, featuring Narumi, one of the best guitarists of this generation, and Hazuki, then an up-and-coming talent who is now a member of Nemophila) ruclips.net/video/-M5zBKrTJRg/видео.html Doll$Boxx (2012 Wild mix of metal, electropop, and god-knows what else; a collaboration between Fuki and Gacharic Spin) ruclips.net/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/видео.html East of Eden (2023 Supergroup assembled by Ayasa, the fabulous violinist whose day job is with Morphonica, one of the BangDream projects. Everything from punk-pop to heavy metal and progressive; highly technical) Here is their first video, with original singer Armmy (d. 2015): ruclips.net/video/vfzIt20_xXg/видео.html Gallhammer (2003 Black/Death/Doom/Punk; this is from their 2007 UK/Europe tour; co-founder Vivien Slaughter is now making electronic ambient music!): ruclips.net/video/2fTiyOO1nZE/видео.html Galmet (2006 Straight-up death metal, but in prom dresses) ruclips.net/video/PnvrOLeRt-I/видео.html Ganglion (2010 Metal with a hint of electronica): ruclips.net/video/q9j4t3Ms-Sg/видео.html Hagane (2018 Started with Sakura posting blistering metal guitar covers on youtube while in high-school, and the rest of the girls finding her; full lineup came together in 2019. (note: sadly, the group just disbanded in early 2023) Here, Sakura does a magical solo using a Phrygian scale at warp speed: ruclips.net/video/k8NTRJ_yTxY/видео.html Hanabie (2019 Kawaii death metal, deathcore, thrash. Technical. Most frequent comment is “That’s nuts.” One of the bands to watch over the next few years, they are playing three North American festivals in 2023.) ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html Kakumei (2013--see Trident, below) Lisa-X Band (Prodigy 16-year-old guitarist Lisa-X and a rotating cast of fellow bandmembers, often including Hazuki (of Disqualia and Nemophila). ruclips.net/video/mN_oLqTka6M/видео.html Lonesome Blue (2021 Progressive rock, pop-metal fusion. This was Narumi’s (see below) long-awaited new band; unfortunately it looks like they have disbanded after only one album.) This song is a wild fusion of classic Disco with Metal: ruclips.net/video/aEdyEEnMTy8/видео.html Lovebites (2016 Modern Power, Speed, Thrash and Heavy Metal. Already making a global splash, melodic but face-meltingly technical. Here is their most famous official MV-it’s even better than Shadowmaker IMO) ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html Mardelas (2014 Another spin-off from Destrose; mixed male/female; leader Marina Hebiishi has one of the best voices in the biz) ruclips.net/video/Wd8P7wTnWJs/видео.html Mary's Blood (2008 The first major Destrose spin-out; Jedi-level lineup.) Here, Saki murders her guitar without breaking any nails: ruclips.net/video/MLM2unV0kwU/видео.html Maximum the Hormone (1998 Crazy, chaotic mashups of deathcore, nu-metal, pop and high-speed rapping. Co-founder Nao (drums) is the female member of the band. She has been a major influence on female drummers throughout Japan.) This clip captures just a bit of the madness: 予襲復讐 (Yoshu Fukushu) ruclips.net/video/beN5ep5MrdY/видео.html MergingMoon (2010 Mix of prog and melodic death metal. Vocalist U is Japan’s terrifying answer to Tatiana of Jinjer) ruclips.net/video/sIL-vgHNOu0/видео.html Muses (2020 Hard fusion with funk overtones; Supergroup assembled by the guitarist, Rie aka Suzaku, and including Juna Serita, the phenomenal bassist who was previously with Tokyo Groove Jyoshi and is now also with the Jazz Avengers. Unfortunately, they have not been active in some time.) ruclips.net/video/Fd6ymMR40NU/видео.html Part 2 follows....
You've done a great job. 👏Thank you! 👍 I was glad to see EAST OF EDEN on your list. In my opinion, a very interesting new band. The song 'Evolve' suggests that EAST OF EDEN has very good prospects.By the way, the leader of the band Ayasa (violin) has been friends with Asami (LOVEBITES) for a long time. On December 20, 2023 there will be two interesting releases 🤔: - LOVEBITES - 'Knockin' at Heaven's Gate - Part II' - EAST OF EDEN - 'Forbidden Fruit .1st piece'
@@GrayFox14 Oh, that is drag. The problem is that we never know what actually the red line is. I still don't know what was wrong with my comments with links. Sometimes it goes through and sometimes get blocked. I just don't understand.
General suggestions for LOVEBITES... - Holy War - Edge Of The World * A Frozen Serenade * Swan Song (with Chopin intro) - When Destinies Align - Set The World On Fire - Break The Wall - Shadowmaker - Raise Some Hell - Epilogue (another "E" song, next to "Edge Of The World" and "Empty Daydream") - Glory To The World - Rising - Winds Of Transylvania (VLADLOVE version) - Thunder Vengeance - Don't Bite The Dust - Dancing With The Devil - The Awakening / The Hammer Of Wrath - Nameless Warrior [OMV] - Liar - We The United Live album 2CD/DVD/Blu-ray from August 23rd, 2023, of March 11th live concert - The Hammer Of Wrath (live 2023) (first promotional video) * Nameless Warrior (live 2023) (second snippet) * Judgement Day (live 2023) (third snippet) - Liar (live 2023) (forth snippet) Upcoming live album 2CD/DVD/Blu-ray from December 20th, 2023, of March 12th live concert New stuff (LOVEBITES 2.0, with new bassist Fami) - Judgement Day [OMV] - Stand And Deliver (Shoot 'Em Down) [OMV] Other new stuff from new album (audio and release party only) - Soldier Stands Solitarily - We Are The Resurrection - Lost In The Garden - Dissonance - My Orion - The Spirit Goes On - Wicked Witch - Victim Of Time
More unusual (but still very good) stuff - The Apocalypse - Under The Red Sky - Above The Black Sea - Empty Daydream - Scream For Me - Signs Of Deliverance - Addicted - Inspire - Spellbound - Dystopia Symphony - Bravehearted - Burden Of Time (must see with a special gimmick by Miyako!) - The Crusade - Today Is The Day - Journey To The Otherside - No Time To Hesitate - Pledge Of The Saviour - M.D.O. - Mastermind 01 - Paranoia - The Unbroken - Warning Shot - Golden Destination Audio only - Puppet On Strings - The Final Collision Covers - Eagle Fly Free (Helloween) - Painkiller (Judas Priest) - Love Bites (So Do I) (Halestorm) Miyako piano covers (Etude Op.23) - Eagle Fly Free (Helloween) - Burn (Deep Purple) - Battery (Metallica) - The Loner (Gary Moore) - Far Beyond The Sun (Yngwie Malmsteen) - Addicted (LOVEBITES)
As I discovered once more here, most of the pressure of delivering their songs correctly (especially their fast-paced ones) is lying on *Haruna* (drums). As you said it, "If any of these ladies is off-beat, the whole song comes across shitty." They are a clockwork named Lovebites. Haruna has to be the melodic *metronome* for the band, under any circumstances, against all odds. If any lady should ever be off-beat, she has to think "I dont care, I keep on drumming reliably." On good days, I therefore call Haruna "Happily smiling metronome". Rumor has it, that all metronomes are calibrated by her after production. 😁
@Winey Guy Reacts Many of the Japanese female groups play at high beat counts. This is not a comprehensive list, nor is it meant to deride the accomplishments of any of them. Just a comparison of how hard and fast they play. The level of expertise is unbelieveable. And complexity of their songs , IMO exceeds most "western bands" of the past 20 yrs. --- Per "Songs BPM" 1) Lovebites Nameless Warrior 178 bpm 2) Band-Maid Shambles 180 bpm 3) Babymetal Headbangeeeeerrrr !!!!! 185 bpm 4) Unlucky Morpheis Black Pentagram 186 5) Lovebites Hammer of Wrath 198 6) Nemophila Rise 199 bpm 7) Fate Gear Unbreakable Wings 200 bpm As a comparison, Metallica's or Gun'n'Roses rarely exceed 120 bpm
Just imagine what you would think of Lovebites if you heard them as was intended - in stereo. Midori left ear and Miyako right. Even their voices when they sing during this show. I am really disappointed with the mono here.
This was the first show back after a 2 year break due to the pandemic and 2 babies.
You can see Asamie in particular how happy she is to be back on stage.
It's also the first concert with Fami on bass and for her it's the first time playing on such a big stage in front of so many people.
They are never off-beat, this isn't Guns and Roses, and M&M play better solos than Slash!
Hahaha 😂, Lovebites never let you down, they really know how to put on great show backed up by great songs & musicianship.🤘🎸🎤🥁🎹🎶🔥🤯🐺

LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior [live] lyrics:
This is it, Living under the destiny to fight
My doubts layin' silent in past
Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies
Will you give it up?
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen,
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Bringing back memories
I'll never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
Hide the light that I found in my path
I call it ''faith'' for now
That is all left for me
Shivering, too afraid of the night but I believe myself
This is up to me [!]
The truth and lies are in the mirror
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior
No time for looking in past now
Fears vanishing into the sky...
SOLOs:
Broken piece of a soul
Never heal in the rain
And will there be end to this?
Flaming up inside of me
Giving me insanity
The memories fading in my head and now I'm fallin'
SOLO: both
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Taking step the way I believe
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Bringing back memories
I'll never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
Nameless warrior

Fate Gear (2015 Super-group, one of the Destrose spinouts-continually changing lineup built around Mina (g) and (until very recently) Erica (b); I consider this video one of the best on this list): ruclips.net/video/tLQbsoKQN-0/видео.html

Hagane (2018 Started with Sakura posting blistering metal guitar covers on youtube while in high-school, and the rest of the girls finding her; full lineup came together in 2019. Hanabie (2019 Kawaii death metal, deathcore, thrash. Technical. Most frequent comment is “That’s nuts.” One of the bands to watch over the next few years, they are playing three North American festivals in 2023.) ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html
Kakumei (2013--see Trident, below)
Lisa-X Band (Prodigy 16-year-old guitarist Lisa-X and a rotating cast of fellow bandmembers, often including Hazuki (of Disqualia and Nemophila). ruclips.net/video/mN_oLqTka6M/видео.html
Lonesome Blue (2021 Progressive rock, pop-metal fusion. This was Narumi’s (see below) long-awaited new band; unfortunately it looks like they have disbanded after only one album.) This song is a wild fusion of classic Disco with Metal: ruclips.net/video/aEdyEEnMTy8/видео.html
Lovebites (2016 Modern Power, Speed, Thrash and Heavy Metal. Already making a global splash, melodic but face-meltingly technical. Here is their most famous official MV-it’s even better than Shadowmaker IMO) ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html

Muses (2020 Hard fusion with funk overtones; Supergroup assembled by the guitarist, Rie aka Suzaku, and including Juna Serita, the phenomenal bassist who was previously with Tokyo Groove Jyoshi and is now also with the Jazz Avengers. They absolutely rip.

Part 2 follows....
Great work Hiawatha, but I wonder how you can avoid getting banned by RUclips with so many links in your comment ;-)
You've done a great job. 👏Thank you! 👍
I was glad to see EAST OF EDEN on your list. In my opinion, a very interesting new band. The song 'Evolve' suggests that EAST OF EDEN has very good prospects.By the way, the leader of the band Ayasa (violin) has been friends with Asami (LOVEBITES) for a long time.
On December 20, 2023 there will be two interesting releases 🤔:
- LOVEBITES - 'Knockin' at Heaven's Gate - Part II'
- EAST OF EDEN - 'Forbidden Fruit .1st piece'
@@gatograto This is correctly noted. 🤔 For more than a year now, YT has been blocking all my comments that contain at least one link.🤗
@@GrayFox14 Oh, that is drag. The problem is that we never know what actually the red line is. I still don't know what was wrong with my comments with links. Sometimes it goes through and sometimes get blocked. I just don't understand.

185 bpm 4) Unlucky Morpheis Black Pentagram 186 5) Lovebites Hammer of Wrath 198 6) Nemophila Rise 199 bpm 7) Fate Gear Unbreakable Wings 200 bpm
As a comparison, Metallica's or Gun'n'Roses rarely exceed 120 bpm
This is really cool. Thank you for the message.
Have you measured "Soldier Stands Solitarily"? My tools are too bad to get the correct bpm values...
@@rainerzufall42 BPM for SSS is 195. The list is just a sample, not necessarily the hishest bpm.
@@GenTzu I got values between 190 and 240, that's why I asked!
🤘🐺♠👸🤘
Suggestion: make the video larger and yourself smaller.
Just imagine what you would think of Lovebites if you heard them as was intended - in stereo. Midori left ear and Miyako right. Even their voices when they sing during this show. I am really disappointed with the mono here.
