I am Maltese (from Malta, Europe). I watched them last night here in the capital city, as I was invited to Una Notta Con Le Stelle, a large-scale concert in the piazza of Floriana, Malta hosted by our Italian neighbours (and my clients) Radio LatteMiele from Abruzzo. Here in Malta, we speak both (British) English and Italian. Matia Bazar, I'm happy to say, are still very much a live band and have recently toured in NYC! It was a real honour to watch them live last night - and the new singer's voice is enchanting....but, my friend - Ruggiero was on another level of charm. She gave you goosebumps. The only thing is that Antonella Ruggiero (my personal favourite) is no longer with them. They've had, I believe, two other strong female vocalists throughout their journey. They never stopped touring! Have you reacted to Matia Bazar's 'Ti Sento'? Hmmm. Goosebumps every time. I remember my parents playing it on the radio constantly in 1983, when it first came out. Incredible single.
