Nice reaction guys. I was interested to see that Gojira, a French metal band, made an appearance at the Olympics opening ceremony in Paris earlier today. Not a style of metal I'm overly fond of, but it was interesting to see them in the mix with the likes of Lady Gaga and Celine Dion! 😅 Which got me thinking, Tokyo unfortunately missed an opportunity to showcase some of their bands in 2020, as their Olympics were severely constrained by the pandemic. It would have been great to see Lovebites get a gig at the closing ceremony, which is traditionally a big party, however I suspect Babymetal or even Band-Maid may have got in first. We will never know.
LOVEBITES - The Crusade lyrics: Walking in shadows, immersed in deception While hiding our agony, faking a smile Pulling the trigger to lose my religion All of the truth ends up murdered by lies Dancing with demons, they seem to be fond of me Let’s start the ritual for the revenge Pulling the trigger to burn non-believers Being the odd one out drives me insane I’m a fool in disguise You’d never realize Found myself in its song Where else would I belong? Break free Fight to live on, forever strong Break free Heart made of steel, show me what’s real Deep down My heartbeat and blood burning with love Deep down It’s time to begin the crusade Wanting an answer, but losing myself While I’m hiding my anger behind empty smiles Pulling the trigger to punish the traitors All of your words were just nothing but lies Crawling in chaos, I’m losing my breath, tell me What do you see through your sinister eyes? Pulling the trigger to kill the oppressors I had no choice but to hide when I cried

It features 7 live versions of songs from the „Judgement Day“ album including „Soldier stands solitarily“. And of course also the pre-releases „Rising“ and „We are the resurrection“, which was the opening track for this show.

Hello :) As always, your thoughts about the song and the band are very interesting. I completely agree with your opinion. Each musician in this amazing group brings their own flavor to the music. I really like Miho's style of play. I love Fami very much, but also I miss Miho so much... So I really love these "old" concerts! Thank you for your reaction!
Yes, they are absolutely the best metal band. Maybe the young age won't like this kind of metal. Maybe they are not properly listening or exposed to it 🤔. Yes, Lovebites will be at the Hall Of Fame one day in the future (i hope), but we live/witnessed with these legendary ladies right now. Always great reaction guys, thanks 👍🤘
Absolutely not! This comment 'sounds' like an accusation of plagiarism! Miyako composed music in the style of Iron Maiden. It was meant to be a tribute, an inspiration. Incidentally, it doesn't seem that Iron Maiden reacted to this or sued them for plagiarism! Steve Harris even posed several times with Miho holding and presenting their EP...
@@katafalkk I think you are overreacting. I have been an Iron Maiden fan since I was a college student in 1982, and they are still my favorite metal band. I think that Miyako is a generational talent both as a musician and as a composer. Plus, for what it is worth, I am also an attorney. Miyako very clearly used Aces High as a blueprint for The Crusade. When I first heard The Crusade, I immediately recognized the similarities with Aces High. There really can be no debate how much they sound alike. If you haven't, listen to the two songs back to back, or even better, listen to them back and forth. I later learned that Miyako wrote the song as a tribute to Iron Maiden, which makes perfect sense. My disagreement with the original comment is that Miyako more molded what she took from Aces High and made it a Lovebites song. Even though I would have worded the original comment differently, I think the commenter meant it in the same way. There is a big difference between plagiarism and a very respectful homage from one extremely talented band to another. Miyako is smart enough and talented enough to make Aces High the starting point for a song but then throw in her own ideas on how to change the song, and arguably make it even better (as the commenter said).
A good song to really give a shout out to Asami's vocal prowess! In my ears, on this thing she is confidently approaching the Air Raid Siren himself. Full props for that, I am smitten. Seriously, this is their "2 Minutes to Midnight". Wow.
This song is from "Heavy metal never dies - Live in Tokyo 2021", concert held on March 26 at Tokyo Dome City. Available in digital, cd, dvd and blu ray format. Welcome back to Lovebites ! This song is a tribute to Iron Maiden's "Aces High". BTW, Lovebites will be releasing a new EP "Lovebites EP II" with 5 new songs on August 28. On the same day, they will also be releasing their latest LIVE album "Memorial for the Warrior Souls". On their official YT channel, there are 2 new LIVE videos from this LIVE LP.
Miyako is the Ice Princess! She can be a nonchalant as she wants. 😀 What amazes about the M & M show is how they will play riffs and taps for an entire verse, with ease. Looking back to the 1970's if any of the lead guitarists from most of those groups from that era, played a five to ten second solo at the level of M & M, they would receive adulation from the crowd and demand to be called gods.
The Crusade is the opening track for the 2018 EP called Battle Against Damnation. The other 3 songs are Break The Wall, Above The Black Sea, and Under The Red Sky. I can't imagine a better metal EP released in 2018. Although Lovebites was fortunate to replace Miho with Fami (who is probably the better bassist), they lost a brilliant lyricist. That loss is still felt. Asami is also a brilliant lyricist and she can get dark at times with her lyrics, but Miho could get VERY dark. Miho and Asami balanced each other, almost like the dark side and the light side. Only about 6 weeks until I see Lovebites in Atlanta at their US debut. It is extremely doubtful that this great song will be on the setlist, particularly since their new EP will be released a week prior.
Great song live with Maiden vibes ! You shoud try new stuff. 2 official live videos, from their forthcoming new double live album available August 28th, have been released recently : Rising and We are the resurrection !
Great comments in your reaction. They've released 2 videos (We Are The Resurrection & Rising) off of their upcoming live release so I hope it's not too long to see you back with LOVEBITES. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
This was inspired by "Aces High", and all I can say is the ladies have outdone the old masters at their own game. There are four or five versions of this that have been posted on YT at various times, and it never gets old.

Miyako took Aces High from IM, adopted it to Lovebites style (and btw made the track even better) - that was her introduction track to LB
I am not sure what you mean by "that was her introduction track to LB"? The Crusade was not the first Lovebites song composed by Miyako.
