If you want a fuller skirt, or you have wider hips, I recommend using the 1.5x rule for your hip measurement instead of the waist!☺️✂️🧵 happy sewing guys!!
To God be the Glory you are a are blessing to us and to the nation I am a widow and am not working and my children also , now you challenged us. Definitely will do this with the strength from God and Divine help financial from Our heavenly father working through you using your gift you are blessed you are a billionaire woman of God.To put bread on the table.THANKS AGAIN🥰🥰💋💞💞💞
Thank you lovely, you explained this all so well! I actually feel that I could make this skirt, that’s amazing! Thank you for giving me hope and confidence ❤
I love this ...Yes keep making more.. I find mixing and matching fabrics difficult ...and I find what you do so creative...I saved this video to have for reference
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I appreciate all the instructions and measurements. The 1/2 elastic and 1/2 tie is genius. Now I see how the pocket plays into the ability to wear back as front or side as the front. Love it!
A little much going on for me but Im older ...I would stick to tea towels and one fabric across the waist for the waist band...make it like a pencil skirt a little tighter maybe a band across the bottom..but you did alot of work figuring the measurements out..good job..on your design will watch more to see what else you sew..
Dear Scarlet, what a wonderful tutorial - thanks a lot for sharing. I was secretly hoping for a tutorial exactly like that. ;) This skirt will be on the top 10 of my to-sew-list and it makes me looking forward to the moment when I find time to sew again. I might not use a tea towel, but I hope I will find a wonderful fabric selection in my scrap bins. There are plenty of options :D Regards from Germany xo Stephanie
I’ve got a tea towel from London 2000 and all sorts of cherry fabrics and such. (My name is Cerise Cherry, Cherry in French and cherry in English). I am gathering steam to do a deep dive into a tea towel pinafore. I watch your videos over and over to just do it. Loved this one, but I think I’d like my skirt to be a bit fuller. Great tutorial.
Do you have enough of the chiffon left to make a coordinating blouse with a ruffle and tulip or angel/handkerchief sleeves? Growing up, we used to make matching tunic blouses or duster smocks so my sister and another friend didn't feel odd in their back braces for scoliosis.
Is there any chance you might make a tutorial for your mini joy tea towel dress? I just bought the pattern and although the instructions look amazing, it would be brilliant to have a video instruction as well. Thank you!!
Fabulous tutorial ... I bought a couple of beautiful vintage tea towels recently and this pattern will be perfect to have a go at my first tea towel outfit ❤

I love the strap/tie inside waistband thing. A problem I have with wrap/adjustable skirts are the straps tying to me but not the skirt 😅 ie it slipped
Great colours and tutorial!
So pretty, thanks for sharing this, I'm a little bit old to wear a style like that but it's a good one for turning in to one I can wear, ❤

Yaaay! Please show me what you make with this, even if you don’t use a tea towel!!✨
❤❤❤❤thank you thank you …. If we don’t have a serger machine, do you recommend straight seem than zigzag to avoid fraying or French?
Yes! Either of those options sound good!

Ooo potentially! Thank you for the idea!
Great tutorial
Adorable!
I wish I could find tea towels. No thrift shops ever have any by me 😭
To be fair, I get all mine off Ebay!
You keep telling me - a smallest part of my waist.. I don't have it 😂😢
Haha stop it!😂
💚
This feels like something I can actually make!
It is! Super easy and fun too!✨🙌
That flounce ruffle is a perfect touch.

@@afrayed_upcycling I will :) - I've already started sorting fabrics LOL
@@afrayed_upcyclingoh no ... I am frozen with doubt. How do you decide which pieces go together and what sizes to cut them.
